I found myself without a hairdresser less than 2 weeks before my wedding, and by some incredible stroke of luck, my sister ran into Sara of South and Brewster Salon, just opening in downtown Northampton. Sara is AMAZING. Professional, artistic,... and seriously, the most skilled stylist I have ever been to. Her up-dos are works of art, and everyone I have recommended her to (my friends and family run the gamut of hair types) has said it was the best hair cut/color they've ever had. She spent ages on my bridal trial, listening to my ideas and making really insightful suggestions. I showed up with pictures and ideas, but in the end, gave over to Sara's experience and artistic talent. I was completely sold on the first style she constructed, but she still tried out several more. The result was breathtaking-- looking at my wedding pictures, I can't actually believe its my hair! Another lady (whose name I can't remember--so sorry!), also did a beautiful job with some of my bridal party. The salon itself is brand new, co-owned and run by an experienced and seriously skilled group of stylists. It has an elegant, chilled atmosphere, and it was a lovely, calming place to spend my wedding morning. I've since been back for haircuts and styling and I've loved everything she's done.
