l. The woman has the patience of a saint. I will admit I was a mother of the Bride that initially didn't think a wedding planner was necessary. Boy was I wrong! I now know that we could not have done it without Melissa and her team. There is so much to planning a wedding that I didn't know. If you are looking at Wedding planners look no further- Stylish Occasions is the best choice!! This is the first review I have written for anyone ever. I am just so thankful for how perfect she made my daughters wedding I want everyone to know. I would give 6 stars but it wasn't an option!!

There were several things that really stood out to me about Stylish O over the other business, which were the following: 1) Melissa's experience in the industry and 2) the pricing. I really liked the fact that Stylish O offered packages, instead of just the ala carte, which could potentially add up very fast. Flash forward to the weekend after the engagement, my now-husband, my parents, and myself are meeting with Melissa for the first time. We were immediately impressed with her demeanor; she was very calm, organized, outgoing, and a phenomenal listener. I believe that we may have hired her right on the spot! During the next 13 months, she was extremely responsive, kept us in budget with itemized costs, met with us to tour potential venues/vendors, agreed to interface when I encountered a significant problem with a hired vendor for the remaining involved time, offered great suggestions when it came to the decor, and all with a smile on her face! She made all of our wedding dreams come true! She was present at the rehearsal and made suggestions as to where people should stand. On the day of the wedding, things ran seamlessly and all because of her! She would run the flowers from the church to the reception venue, made sure that the marriage license was brought to the church after I forgot it, and was there to help tear down at the end of the night. In the days before the wedding, she drove to a nearby city to pick up a rented sign for us to use at the reception. If it was not for her expertise and care, I have no doubt that our wedding would have been significantly different. She made it, "pop" and stand out from all the rest. She was there during every step of the planning process and every part of the wedding day. While I was very sad to see this part of our relationship end, I am thrilled to find that a friendship between she and I has started! She is just a beautiful person from the inside and out and truly takes pride in her craftsmanship.

Katie initially met with us and listened carefully (& took notes) to what my daughter and her husband wanted at their renewal celebration and reception. She knew this was going to be a "hybrid" event and carefully tailored the day to my daughter's liking. She had many great suggestions and worked closely with the operations manager at the venue to confirm what we wanted. She also provided a lengthy "to do" list weeks before the wedding and would check in with the bride (and mother/bride) multiple times to make sure all was on schedule. And, she always responded to us quickly when we had questions. Katie also provided the bride with lots of lists of ideas, websites, choices and suggestions when we asked for help and her opinion. She also met with us a few days before the event for a final "count down" to confirm all the items were completed and ready for the big day. Katie was there the day of the event and did an excellent job of coordinating everything. She set up the gift tables, decorations, confirmed the seating was correct and coordinated the DJ, officiate and OM so that all parties involved knew what to do and when to do it! We couldn't have done this without her! The event turned out great and we had nothing but compliments from our guests. She really was exceptional on planning the whole day and took all the "worry" out of how it was going to work out! It turned out to be a beautiful ceremony and successful event. I highly recommend employing her services as would wouldn't have been able to do this without her! Thank you Katie... job well done!

As the bride, it was so nice to turn everything over to her on the wedding day, so I could relax and enjoy the magic of the day! Melissa checked in with the me as the bride throughout the day making sure I was happy which was so nice! There were so many little bumps during the mechanics of the wedding day that Melissa just simply took care of and we never even heard about until after the wedding--it was great! Thanks to Melissa coordinating our vendor team we had the wedding of our dreams! Looking back our only regret is that we didn't just turn the ENTIRE wedding planning over to Melissa from the beginning--she is a credit to her profession! We highly recommend hiring Melissa to coordinate your wedding from start to finish!

And they did, thanks to Melissa. A list of invaluable things she did for us: - Hooked me up with a salon that had experience doing hair and makeup for women of color - Created our wedding timeline and shared it with our vendors, including the caterer, photographer, videographer, officiant and ceremony musician - Did a walkthrough of the venue with us to go over and confirm day-of details - Ran our ceremony rehearsal - Oversaw the flipping of our ceremony and reception space - Set up decorations and wedding favors the day of the wedding I know I am leaving out a lot, but I can't emphasize how much her experience and expertise contributed to the success of our wedding. It was a really fun day for all of us, and it wouldn't have been so without the extra help Melissa and her assistant provided.

Not only were we able to be married outside but the reception set up was actually 18x better than I could have planned myself. Melissa and her assistants made it so successful. Everyone was commenting on what a beautiful, fun and smooth wedding it was. I have Melissa to thank for that. She is worth every penny and more! She knows many many local vendors and can call in favors at the last minute. If you invest in anything- invest in Stylish Occasions!!

had no clue all the decisions I would need to make but she guided me through them all. I even had some trouble a few weeks before my wedding and had to switch venues. Melissa made it so easy! She coordinated with vendors, went on another walk through and helped to save the day! She talked me through my mini wedding day crisis (too windy to wear my veil :-( but made me feel better about it!) I met her on the big day (for the first time, mind you!) with a smile on her face and she came fully equipped with an emergency bag for anything that may go wrong. Luckily nothing went wrong because her team is so fabulous. From pinning up my dress in the middle of the field, bringing drinks & food down during photos, fixing my matron of honor's hair at the last moment, helping my mother get her high heel out of an air vent she stepped into (true story), and setting the veil in my hair even though I had never even tried the veil comb until that very second. Literally, she was able to provide assistance with everything - even photo suggestions. She is someone that you want contributing input, because it really is true that she has done this over and over again. I know that once the day of my wedding hit, my mind was complete mush when it came to small detail questions - Melissa thought about the details. These are the little things you WILL run into, and there are going to be moments that you just need assurance that the day is going well, guests are happy, and to keep everything running smoothly. I cannot commend Melissa and her team enough - she put in so much effort (through emails nonetheless) and she even visited the wedding site when I couldn't make it there to take photos ahead of time.

Melissa and her team handled all the, quite frankly, annoying details, but they handled them with grace and ease, putting my mind completely at peace a month before the wedding, and ensuring an absolutely perfect wedding day. Melissa and her team contacted all our vendors about a month before our wedding to confirm arrival times, logistics, and timelines. She also handled set-up for some of our decorations the day of our wedding, which meant I didn't have to do it, my Mom didn't have to do it, and my MIL didn't have to do it, which was so nice. I was able to truly enjoy my entire wedding weekend, stress free, because I knew Melissa was handling things. Melissa is an expert in this field, and provided so many great recommendations along the way that I would never have thought of on my own. She was so pleasant to work with, and the rest of her team was equally as friendly. And she was so prompt (and patient) with every response, even when I sent her page-long emails or texts with tons of questions. We had one snafu that was my fault with the caterer, and when Melissa came and asked me about it on our wedding day, we didn't have an immediate solution. BUT, she handled, everything worked out perfectly, and she never had me worried. I enthusiastically recommend Melissa and her team at Stylish Occasions for day of wedding coordination services. You will be so thankful you worked with her!!

o be my wedding planner was the best decision I made throughout the entire wedding process. I wouldn't say I am "difficult", but I know what I like and I tend to make decisions very last minute (hence why I'm writing this review months after my wedding - sorry Melissa!!). Neither of these less than ideal qualities flustered Melissa. She's very quick. She learned my style right away and was able to select the best vendors and give suggestions that would complement my specific vision. She understood my busy schedule and was able to manage my last minute requests and numerous meetings with my mom. The list goes on about how thankful I am for Melissa, but I have to stress that the number one thing that I loved most about working with her was her calm demeanor. The last thing a bride needs on her special day is a wedding planner who is all over the place and stressed out. Melissa handled everything with ease, showing not a single ounce of worry. Because she was prepared and quick on her feet, I was able to put my full attention on enjoying my night with my husband, friends, and family. That is something that you can't put a price on. r fiancé work out a timeline of how they wanted to day to proceed, and she made sure it was executed flawlessly by all the vendors involved. We had a very tiny church for the ceremony and it rained on the day of, making the entrance of the bridal party very tricky as there was no where to line up in the church. She had everyone organized and helped pull of the ceremony seamlessly. Prior to the big day, she had all the vendors confirmed and timelines checked and rechecked for all of them. We had a problem with the band just prior to the ceremony which she identified and took care of for us. I can not say enough fantastic things about her. Even if your event site has its own wedding planner, I highly recommend Melissa and her assistant as their help at the ceremony as well as at the reception was invaluable. This was my second wedding ( as mother of the bride), and Melissa outperformed the previous wedding planner by huge strides. I can't say enough positive things about her.

She is fabulous at coordinating multiple vendors, stays on top of emails, and was even able to make it to some appointments to make sure we were asking the right questions and getting the best deals. If I could do it all over again, I would have hired Melissa the day we decided to get married. She will make your life so much easier, and does it seamlessly! Definitely worth the investment, you will not regret this decision. Our wedding looked better than any of the photos I saw on pintrest, and despite the rain, was probably the best day of our lives thus far. We attribute much of this to the careful attention to detail that Melissa naturally applied when helping us to plan our special day. Thank you Melissa! I checked her out, along with some others. But I kept coming back to StylishO because she was very detailed about the services she would/could provide. It wasn't just "day of coordination" that I had seen elsewhere. So we sat down with Melissa, and it was by far the best wedding planning decision we made! She kindly let us dump all of our ideas and emotions, then she sat back and took stock. She created a custom package for us that included not only day-of coordination, but specific things along the way, such as assistance in finding a venue, looking over contracts, vendor referrals, and more. And then Melissa and her team went above and beyond. She gave us info on vendors if she had it, and if she didn't, she got the information and passed it along. She set up appointments for us, and was a voice of reason (and a reality check) amidst the chaos. And she always had a good attitude. Sometimes I felt like maybe I was asking too much, but she always said "no problem, let me look into that", or "I'll get that right over to you". We also appreciated Melissa's honesty, and the fact that she really grasped that it was OUR wedding. When planning a wedding, you get opinions and advice from everyone and their mother about how you should do things. In the end, it needs to be what YOU want, otherwise it's not yours. Melissa knows this; she is great at giving you options, but the choice is always yours. If she thought we may be straying from our budget or our wedding vision, she would ask questions, or give us some alternatives to keep us on track (believe me, you'll need a reality check every now and then!). But if we were set on something, then she rolled with it. I could go on and on! Melissa and her team are just outstanding! They are honest, good communicators, and timely with their communication. The cost for them was not a bill...it was an investment. And it was the best investment we made in the planning! Our wedding day, the one we worked so hard for, was just fantastic. When the girls were getting ready for the ceremony, the photographer (a fantastic referral from Melissa!) commented that I was "way too calm". But at that point, I didn't have anything to worry about! Melissa had all the details handled, I didn't have to worry about anything, and I was simply able to relax and enjoy the day, which was the whole point of having a wedding planner! The only stress moment I had that day was when we had to print directions to the reception and make copies at the last minute. But Melissa said "let me take care of that", and I knew instantly that it would be done, and everything would be fine. And you can't ask for anything more than that! StylishO says "You do this once. We do this everyday". So very true, and so very obvious! On your wedding day, you'll be thankful you chose Melissa and her team at StylishO!

From a few months out we were in regular email contact, and Melissa clearly put quite a lot of time and effort into creating an incredibly detailed timeline, thinking through all the possibilities, catching every potential trip-up and advising me from her experience. She confirmed all the vendors the week before and made sure they had her contact info, did a conference call with my caterer and I...so many things! On the day of, if anything of significance went wrong I didn't even know it - she & Rachel managed a million details, and just knowing that they had it all under control left me so calm that I had people commenting on what a calm bride I was (and believe me I'm not known for a zen-like nature). Bottom line, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Stylish O to anyone and everyone. (Also, and this is something you NEVER hear people say in regards to anything wedding-related -- I really feel like we didn't pay Stylish O enough for everything they did! Amazing deal for terrific work.)

ding was at a private villa in Costa Rica. Melissa managed to make our wedding flawless in a Spanish speaking country where she didn't know any vendors. She responded to all my emails in minutes and always took care of EVERYTHING. Every vendor she found from makeup to photography (who is Clane Gessel and also amazingly ridiculous!) was fabulous. My mom and I got to have a stress free wedding day while Melissa dealt with all the details. I can honestly say my wedding was even better than my Pinterest board, all thanks to Melissa. Hiring Melissa was the best money we spent on the wedding. Do not get married without her!

rson, I decided to go with the middle package- a bit more help than just day of, but not full time wedding planning. It was the best decision ever and I would definitely recommend Melissa to anyone. I'm super anal so I still did a lot of the communication with vendors and stuff like that myself because I like to know what is going on. However, she was so helpful in getting any questions answered, recommending vendors, providing discounts that she receives, and just being someone to bounce ideas off of. She thought of a ton of things that I wouldn't have though of on my own also. We had meetings throughout my almost two year engagement and once I moved out of Lancaster she planned a full day of meetings since we were only to town for the one day. She was always so attentive to detail, offered her suggestions and thoughts but was never overbearing or pushy. The whole time I felt like I was planning my own wedding, but just with some extra help which is exactly what I wanted. The day of the wedding went off so smoothly as we hoped it would. Melissa and Emily were there to help every step of the way and even after the wedding to help out with a few follow up things! I would highly suggest that every bride use a wedding planner and obviously recommend Melissa!

Most of our guests commented that they figured we requested the art to be taken down so we could decorate with our own style…that was a huge compliment! We would have never been able to pull this off without the help and suggestions from the best wedding planner in this side of the Mississippi! Thank you for making our day so special!!

The week before the wedding, my now husband and I met up with Katie to discuss details. She was very pleasant and took her time with us. She also let me know that she contacted all our vendors to make sure they would be at the venue at the correct time and location, and even provided them with a timeline for the day Katie came to Philadelphia the following Friday for our rehearsal and was very patient with our particularly rowdy group- I was definitely glad she was there to take charge. Katie was back in Philly early the next day ready to go. We were very grateful she was prepared for a few bridesmaid dress malfunctions. She executed everything I asked perfectly and seamlessly communicated our family photo relocation at the last minute. As someone who can be very picky, high strung and anxious, I was able to be very relaxed all day and enjoy one of the best days of my life. Having someone there to help with all the little things made such a big difference. Highly recommend!

She even made a late night run for me to taco bell since I asked her to pick up tacos for my husband as a surprise when we made it back to our room from a long night of partying with our family and friends. When we got into our room she had arranged the tacos into a heart on the table with all of the hot sauces in the middle, my husband was so happy! I would and will recommend Melissa and her team at Stylish Occasions to anyone who is planning a wedding. They are absolutely amazing and my wedding wouldnt have been 1/2 as beautiful without their help!

If I could take it back I wouldn't have bothering paying for that service and would have just used the coordinator the site provided. Most of the other reviews seem positive so, perhaps she was just having an off day.

Our ideas came to life through her. We had a vision in mind that Melissa brought into reality. Every step of the way, Melissa and her team were there with advice and options. They found our (perfect!) venue and handpicked our vendors. Melissa gave me options for the DJ, florist, cake baker, hair, and makeup, and I went with her first choice every time. She very quickly learned our personalities and had a knack for knowing just which vendor would suit us. Anytime we needed anything, she was just a quick email or text away. Her flexibility and organization were essential to us, especially close to the wedding when my job was suddenly up in the air and I had to focus on a job search and interviews. She was able to keep things going and communicate with the groom so I didn’t have to worry at all! She was patient in our times of indecision, helped guide us to the best choice for us, and was never, ever pushy. She clearly wanted us to have things just the way we envisioned. Our wedding was a little more complicated than some – we were planning semi-long distance and we wanted to combine some intercultural aspects (she found us a fantastic Indian restaurant to include along with our catering) – and everything came together without a hitch. Our wedding day itinerary was also complicated (we had an outdoor ceremony with a horse-drawn wagon and a carriage, 2 sets of caterers, a cocktail hour in one barn with a bar-opening ceremony, a tree planting ceremony, followed by the reception in another barn) and she and her team kept everything running smoothly. My groom, parents, and I were able to enjoy the day without worrying about the details, of which there were many! We had the wedding day of our dreams and we have Melissa and the Stylish O team to thank! I could not have made a single more important decision for our wedding than choosing Stylish Occasions.

They handled everything so well that even if something did go wrong, I never knew about it and it was taken care of before anyone became aware of it. The day of our wedding (as far as I know!) went off without a hitch thanks to Katie; even if there were any issues, I never heard about them because I’m sure that she handled them. It was such a relief knowing that I had Katie there to handle everything. She even touched base with me the morning of the wedding to let me know that everything was going smoothly. I consider myself a very particular person; I had worked so hard on all of the details of our wedding that I wanted everything to come together perfectly. With Katie’s help, our wedding exceeded my own expectations. I was floored when I first walked into our reception. Everything came together so beautifully and was set-up exactly as I asked. Throughout the night, Katie made sure that everything went smoothly and helped us transition into all of our big events (announcing the bridal party, speeches, first dance, etc). At the end of the night, she packed up all of our gifts and any decorations that we would put away early and asked if there was anything else she could do in order to be helpful before leaving. We were so lucky to have her!

The day of the wedding, Melissa took care of setting up the reception venue, which was done perfectly. We had a snag when one of my bridesmaids' dresses wouldn't zip, so Melissa came to the rescue with her sewing kit and helped to sew her into the dress! She also kept the reception moving along as it needed to, reminding us of our timeline, without being too pushy. I truly can't say enough good things about her and it's a great value for what you get!!

They made sure everything went on schedule according to the timeline, and assisted in setting up the sparkler send off at the end of the evening! They even packed all of our gifts into my parents car and all the other decorations. My wedding day went off without a hitch and I can honestly say that it wouldn't have been as perfect without all of their help! I am so happy with our decision and would HIGHLY recommend talking to Stylish Ocassions for your special day!

We really want great entertainment and Melissa helped us book the amazing DJ Freez and facilitated connections/set-up meetings for us with all of our vendors. This was incredibly helpful given we live in DC and were getting married in Lancaster. Throughout my 11 month engagement I was able to come to Melissa at any time of day or night and she was always there with answers or advice. However, the best part about having Melissa and her team help plan our wedding was in the execution of our wedding. They did all of the behind the scenes work ensuring that my experience was incredibly blissful and stress-free. Any minor hiccups they worked out with a completely calm and relaxing demeanor, and I was free to enjoy the wedding and my guests. I ran into issues with my florist (who I could not get in contact with), my hair dresser (who fired his staff who was to do my hair and makeup), my spa (half her staff quit and couldn't host my bridal party spa day ), my pastor (she became severely ill). I thought that my whole wedding was about to fall apart! Melissa was full of suggestions and solutions. My special day came, and it was perfect, she even handled a some problems throughout the day (I didn't even know that there was a single problem on my wedding day). I am so greatful that Melissa put the time and effort into making my wedding the special event that I dreamed it would be.

We talked about how I wanted things to go on my wedding day and she offered suggestions to make it happen. We booked her a few days later for her "helper package". She read over my contracts and found and questioned certain things that seemed off to her, and set up a timeline of our wedding day. Once we approved it she contacted all the vendors to let them know what time to be there and even called/emailed to confirm it closer to the wedding day. She met with the hotels coordinator and me on our final walk through of the wedding location and offered any ideas that came to mind, while questioning things that seemed off or not what the contract had previously stated. She attended the rehearsal and kept things running smoothly and the groomsmen from wandering off(one thing they were always good at). On the day of the wedding she called in the morning to make sure I was on schedule and met me at the hotel with a detailed list of what was going on as far as the set up. When I walked through the ceremony room, I noticed the stage my fiance and I were getting married on was a little dirty. When I said something to her assistant, I was informed that it had already been taken care of and they were on the way to get it clean. We also had a mishap with the flower girls' dress, which she fixed and no body even noticed. Overall I was relieved to have Melissa overseeing my wedding day, and I know things ran smoothly because of her. I would recommend her to anyone seeking out a wedding planner, she is organized, insightful, creative, and professional. She was worth every penny we spent and more.
