Very communicative during the planning process. Stuck to schedule the whole night during our wedding. The food was great! All our guest enjoyed everything, especially the hot chicken sliders! The wait staff was very very nice to us and our guest. And was very attentive to our guest and made sure to make us plates of food through out the night! Would recommend to others!

We hired What's the Kitch to cater for our backyard wedding of nearly 160 people - no small task - and they absolutely CRUSHED it! We did a grazing table and a floating supper so I was nervous how our guests would perceive not having a seated dinner but everyone couldn't stop raving about how fun, different and delicious all of the food was. Not only was the food fantastic, but Dave, Jeff and their team are some of the best in the business. All communication leading up to the day was a pleasure - Dave is so fantastic to work with and so accommodating - he made so many changes to accommodate everyone's diet needs and what we as the couple wanted. On the day of, they took such amazing care of my groom and i - constantly finding us to make sure we ate, setting aside special plates for us. It was out of this world - I'm only sad its over! Thank you all so much for making our wedding so fun and memorable :)

Absolutely outstanding in every way. Dave and the staff at 'What's The Kitch' exceeded all of our expectations. We hosted a floating supper for 160 guests for our daughter's wedding at Greenpoint Loft in Brooklyn. The food was delicious and plentiful. The service was outstanding. The floating supper was a new concept for us so we were a little hesitant about not going with a traditional dinner. We had 12 passed entrees, a grazing table, a pasta station, and a desert table. Definitely enough food for our hungry New York City Italian family. It's been two days and we've already gotten so many calls from friends and family about how much they enjoyed the food. Dave was extremely helpful throughout the process. Every question I had was answered by him immediately (usually within 1-2 hours of me sending my email). Dave was also instrumental in helping us find a rental house for tables, chairs, etc. and his input was invaluable. Can't say enough good things about this vendor. Highly recommend.

What's The Kitch catered our wedding the past weekend, and I really don't know how to thank them enough for a job so well done. From the first tasting with Chefs Dave and Jeffrey, we knew we wanted to go with the Floating Supper concept. It was such a success among our picky family and friends of 125. For the better part of a year, Dave worked with us nonstop to ensure a smooth day. From helping with venue coordination to non-stop rental revisions and everything in between. Communication was always fast, responsive and very helpful. What's The Kitch is a very transparent company and not once where we ever hit with any surprise expenses along the way. On the day of the actual wedding, our day of planner was just out of her depth for such an intricate wedding. Without being asked (and outside of their job responsibility) the What's The Kitch crew jumped in to fix the problems. They were always concerned much more beyond delicious food (which it was) but ensuring the day was perfect. Our guests are still raving about some of the dishes including the Paella, The Edible Spoons, and so much more. Thank you so much for taking care of us. Dave and Jeff are masters at their craft. From my first interaction, I knew that my fiancé and I would be in good hands. Where to start with Whats The Kitch. From the first call with them I'd no doubt that they were the right choice for our big day. They were friendly, understood our vision right away, and didn't haggle on price (nor did we, it makes a big difference). Good Service isn't cheap and cheap service isn't good. We didn't have a lot of lead up time, but they jumped right in. Despite not being traditional planners, they assigned us an in house coordinator that was with us every step along the way. She dealt with every other vendor, creative design, site visits, and timing to perfection. We would've been lost without this. The Floating Supper its self was delicious. So much variety. Order the baby lamb chops! The culinary team led us in the perfect direction given we wanted a heavy vegetarian meal. And they were quite honest to say "that bite won't do well for a wedding." We appreciated the honesty about thier own menu. We had a December wedding in the chaos of the holiday season, and they didn't miss a beat. Highly recommend WTK! They are an absolute pleasure to work with and go above and beyond for their clients. I wish I could give 10 stars to What's The Kitch. That's how good they are. This past weekend they catered mine and my fiancés (husband now!!) wedding and it was a flawless production from the first inquiry to the very last bite of the night. As many other reviews have mentioned, What's The Kitch really goes above and beyond with their clients. They were not our planner (we did not have one) but they took on all of the responsibilities including helping design our floor plan, walk us through and coordinate rentals, and so much more. I can't count how many times Dave said "It's my job to make sure you have nothing to worry about, I'm not just here to serve you food on the day of your wedding." And the FOOD- well that didn't disappoint. We opted for the floating supper despite my parents not thinking it would satisfy our guests and when I say so many guests said they have never enjoyed food as much as they did at our wedding - it really made me proud of my own decision! The variety was endless, and the food just never stopped all night. Even surprise items appeared. Dave, Jeff and the entire team are kind, smart and friendly. What's The Kitch is a dream team to work with. From the first tasting where the food was abundant and flavorful, to the next year of the journey to the big day, What's The Kitch was always there. Always happy to answer questions, help with logistics, give input on scenarios that were outside of their scope, visit and measure the site for us, and even take care of paying other vendors for us. The day of was nothing different from what we already experienced. Excellent service, fantastic and helpful staff, and they even entertained my mother. We did the floating supper and couldn't have been happier with our choice. It allowed for our fun evening to never be stopped, and the variety ensured there was something for everyone. Even when one Vendor royally screwed up, the Kitch Team stepped in to fix it. Dave and Jeff simply and sincerely care about their clients and that was apparent from day 1. I couldn't imagine having used another caterer for our wedding. Behind Dave and Jeff, What's The Kitch? is a perfect culinary experience. We received so many compliments on the food from our 160+ guests; everything was delicious. There was such a variety of uniquely fun and flavorful bites, from the Mac n Cheese Eggrolls to the the Nashville Hot Chicken Edible Spoons. Going forward, anytime we throw a party, there is only one choice in our minds on who to feed the crowd and leave them talking (and full)!!!

Well when you get more comments about the food than the bride, you are on to a winner! After a couple of postponements and near misses due to Covid, I can only say what an absolute pleasure it was to work with this team. I am still receiving comments about the service staff, how the rolling supper was a genius way to serve, food was plentiful, exotic presentations and gosh darn tasty! My wife and I our a wedding together in about a month. Things were crazy, and we were frazzled, but after speaking with Dave, We knew we’d get it all done and it would be fantastic! Dave guided us through all aspects of the wedding day, not just catering. There was no question out of his wheelhouse! And he was always a calming presence for us. But, Dave and Jeff are primarily caterers, not wedding planners, and boy did they come through for us! Our guests loved the idea of the Floating Supper and they raved about the food! The Mac & Cheese Egg Rolls were probably the biggest hit, but the Chicken Dumplings were a close second, or maybe it was the Shrimp Mojito… or… or…. or… Really, there wasn’t anything we wouldn’t order again! In addition, we were very concerned about Covid— Dave, Jeff, and Jack (our server) were very accommodating and did whatever we asked to make everyone feel comfortable and safe. We would use What’s the Kitch to cater for us again in a heartbeat!

What’s The Kitch promises to be a partner in your journey in planning a wedding and they sure exceed that mantra. From our first encounter with Dave - he was patient with our unique requests, helped handle aspects that fell out of his responsibility and gave us the promise of a stress free wedding day. Chef Jeff is a true pro. At our tasting we had 15 courses as their menu selections are enormous and the first bite was the Mac and Cheese Eggroll. Frankly we were sold from there. Much like the tasting - at the wedding our guests had to plead to stop being fed. Their bites are substantial and seem to never end. The staff is professional and always seemed happy. One of them took my elderly mother under her wing for the night and made sure she was always served, her drink was always full, and her experience despite being in a Walker was always handled with genuine care. That meant the world to us. The food is enough to book these guys but the level of Hospitality makes them all stars. Thank you so much for everything and we will see you at our baby shower!

Look no further for catering in NYC! Dave & Jeff with ‘What’s the Kitch?’ are amazing! I can’t say enough good things about them. I had been in contact with them for well over a year before finally having our wedding in October 2021, and throughout the entire process they made everything easy and seamless. I am a very indecisive person, and I constantly emailed Dave with questions, menu choice changes, and a million other things and he was patient and helpful the entire time! We originally were going to do a few passed appetizers and then 2 stations, but changed our minds to a full “floating supper” and it was amazing! Our guests loved having food constantly flowing throughout the night and not having to completely stop dancing, talking or taking photos in order to sit down and eat. Their menu alone made our mouths water, so we were excited for our food at our wedding, but they definitely exceeded our expectations! Our guests constantly came up to us to tell us how amazing the food was! The chicken parm bites and the lobster rolls were HUGE hits for our group, but in all honesty EVERYTHING was amazing! What's the Kitch is the perfect caterer if you want an innovative super fun approach to the modern wedding. Dave worked with us every step of the way to make our day delicious and engaging for our guests. In the current environment we opted for the Floating Supper which allowed our guests to enjoy a cocktail party environment while feasting on a full array of appetizers, main courses and dessert. The food was flavorful and plentiful, the service was super professional and friendly, and the entire event was executed in a flawless manner. Their menu options were huge and able to address all types of food related concerns and allergies without missing a beat. And this event was rescheduled twice because of Covid but that didn't phase them. You need to hire this caterer!

There were groups swarming where the wait staff was coming out so they could grab an appetizer before they were all gone. The food being incredible is only one piece of the catering service albeit an important one. What truly made them an exceptional vendor was how they went above and beyond throughout the planning process to ensure that the day of ran smoothly. After a successful bridal shower, I have to give credit where credit is due. Dave was an all-star, when tasked with a heavy-duty allergy list, he was beyond accommodating. Communication was the best, always replied to any emails I had within 24 hours and was willing to take a call whenever requested. The food itself was all the rave at the bridal shower. Every guest was astonished that the meal was completely gluten free and lactose free. I could not say better things about What's the Kitch? Would recommend for any type of party!

I don't even know where to start with this review, as I have a million positive things to say about What's The Kitch, Dave, Jeff, and their incredible team! From the very moment we reached out to Dave, he was quick with response, and always had our best interest in mind. He was a HUGE help with our planning process, and there every step of the way. He even put us in touch with other vendors, like our amazing wedding planner, which we are so grateful for. Because we had a destination wedding, we weren't able to do a tasting prior to the wedding, but I knew everything was going to be great... I was definitely right, but we were still blown away with how amazing the food was. So many of our guests have expressed that we raised the bar for wedding caterers, and I have to agree completely. Another aspect I would like to mention is his incredible team. On our wedding day, one of the other vendors provided by the venue had a pretty big slip up, but Dave's team stepped in immediately and mended everything with exceptional professionalism. What’s The Kitch was beyond phenomenal! We were lucky to have found them to cater our mini-wedding amidst the pandemic. The team is personable, professional and flexible. Dave made himself always available to answer any questions and the at home tasting was delightful. The food selection is huge, everything is delicious and elegantly presented. We were lucky enough to hold my son and daughter-in-law's wedding before the pandemic and even luckier to have found What's the Kitch to cater the event in a venue that required us to bring everything in. Dave, Natasha, Jeffrey and their team were amazing. They were so easy to work with, so responsive to my every email, so creative, and very reasonable. The food was fabulous and the presentation of the food and the stations was perfect. The grazing table (not to be missed) was something to behold. When we did our site visit to the venue, we discovered the kitchen was pretty ill-equipped and there were strict rules about cooking. Not a problem for this unflappable team. They handled everything with extraordinary patience and grace and allowed our family to relax and enjoy. When I mentioned I had planned to order lunch for the wedding party, Dave said, "No problem. We can provide lunch". On top of everything else they spent the day doing, this was above and beyond. And then, after finishing cleaning up and loading everything back into their vans at 2:00AM, they were back on the rooftop of our hotel at 8:00 to set up a casual brunch for our guests. Who does that?? The whole experience - from the initial tasting in the kids' apartment, to the wedding, to the brunch the next morning, to the anniversary dinner in their apartment - was simply the best we could have imagined. Our guests have not stopped raving about it. Recently hired What's The Kitch for a small inside wedding this February for my daughter. We were looking for a company that was still able to bring some zazzle to a wedding in a Covid Safe Manner. The floating supper concept they created was the perfect fit. It was pretty much a cocktail hour that never ended - we must've have around 15 options and the food never stopped coming - with the dishes feeling more heavy (such as the pasta) as the night progressed. Eventually all of the guests begged the servers to stop teasing them with more food when they were already full. I would never have thought that a floating supper could have been a way to have an elegant wedding, but honestly our guests said it was one of the best experiences they ever had, as opposed to the standard Buffett setup most caterers offer. Highly recommend not just the company but this concept. The company offers a one year anniversary complimentary dinner to all of their couples, and if the Mac and Cheese eggrolls are on that menu, I may just have to replace my daughters husband at the table lol. Dave and his team were the nicest people to work with from the first day we emailed all the way through to the end of our wedding. They were accommodating, helpful, pleasant and the food was amazing! We’ve been to a lot of weddings and this was by far the best food we’ve had! We still have not stopped talking about it!! Highly recommend!

What’s The Kitch offers delicious food, beautiful presentation, and an exemplary staff. I recently booked WTK for my bridal shower on 3/24/18 and it was INCREDIBLE! Owner asked me to post here as yelp hid my original review. I have guests still calling me asking for their information. Everything was smooth and effortless from start to finish. Dave helped me create a menu that would appeal to all while taking special care to the fact I had several guests who were vegetarians, gluten free, and had allergies. There was something for everyone and not one complaint in the room. The food was served fresh, cooked on the spot and served in beautiful displays. It added such a special touch to my event and I couldn't be happier. A favorite among my guests were the chicken and waffles, shrimp tostadas, and the bourbon mearballs. My absolute favorite was the mini crab cakes. Oh, I cannot forget to mention the mini grilled cheese sandwiches that were buttery and flavorful and went flying off the display as soon as they were prepared. All in all, WTK made my day extra special and I would and have recommend them to anyone. Between the wonderful food, impeccable customer service and the affordable pricing (yes, all of that and it was budget friendly) you cannot go wrong.

Amazing! Dave was a true gem. He was really easy to work with and helped us to create the perfect menu for the occasion. Cooked on location, the food was fresh and delicious - Everybody kept raving about how great it was! They were attentive with the amount of food that was needed for the size of our event, leaving us with plenty of food to enjoy with some remaining to nibble on (late night grub always a plus when there's a lot of alcohol involved). I was running around hosting and I didn't have to worry, given that they took complete charge of cooking, setting up and then cleaning up after themselves. I tip my hat off to the team and will definitely consider their services for future events.

We were at our wits end finding a caterer. Most sounded like they knew what they were talking about, but didn't. Most gave us a price point at a ridiculous level that would barely feed our guests (of close to 150). Then What's The Kitch came in with Chloe and Dave. Chloe was the organizer and planner, Dave the master chef. They not only brought us in under the budget we were being told, no one wanted for food, from the time they walked in to the time they left. They kept us on point with planning and making sure we had everything we could possibly think of. They were excited about our theme and couldn't wait to enhance it. Our guests said cocktail hour was the best one they had ever experienced at any event. There was a grazing table that left people speechless and wanting for more. AND there were multiple passed hor d'oeuvres. The stations, the bars the staff was just the best ever. You can't go wrong with What's The Kitch. Don't be scared by what seems to be a very basic and scaled back approach because it was the exact opposite. I had, what looked to be an elaborate wedding and reception for a fraction of the cost. Due to Dave and Chloe and the whole staff, I had my dream wedding and I will never be able to repay them for their amazing hospitality, stay on target go getting-ness and their amazing creations.

They are the dream team foodies. We used Then for our wedding last week at then Bronx Musuem of Arts and could not have been happier with how everything turned out. From the moment we met then, I could immediately tell they would be on point. Our guests absolutely loved our food! Natasha is your fairy godmother who swoops in, thinks of everything, and makes it all magical. She is a brides best friend and who you want on your team on your wedding day. Dave & Jeff knocked it out of the park with all the food, from the passed bites, the signature cocktails, to the food stations. The grazing table is epic, a delicious work of art.

I didn't find Whats The Kitch on The Know, but the Owner asked me to write a review, and I was more than happy to. Upon our tasting, my wife and I knew they were the right people to deliver a variety of flavor that would satisfy all difficult members of each family. But it all tasted great and was presented very inventively. Everything was fine but what I should highlight is (and why I'd do anything for these guys) is how they saved our asses big time on the day of the event. Our reception was on a Rooftop on BK and 60 mins before start, the sky opened up and doom was upon us. There was a backup room inside, but without question, pause or hesitation, the What's The Kitch team gave us the "Stay Calm, We Got This" nod and worked effortlessly to move it all in. Even the executive chefs were out there making it happen. They got everything set back up, dried off best they could (genuinely felt bad) and got back to business as usual. Rest of the night seems blurry but my Bride stayed calm thanks to them - as she's the Dramatic Woman in this relationship lol. I'll always be thankful for what they did, the service they provided, and how there was never an ego or attitude - it was always about making the day as special as possible. Ok you got your review - send us over some Mac & Cheese eggrolls lol!

I used What's The Kitch? for my wedding late last year, and I can't boast about them enough! From initial contact, to signing our contract, to our actual wedding day it was the most pleasurable experience I have ever had planning anything. David, Natasha and Jeffrey are the most professional, kind and caring people I have come across in a long time. With my vision and input David and Jeffrey brought to life my husbands and I dream menu which included their to die for Chicken & Waffles, Shrimp and Guacamole Tostada, & their oh so delicious Steak Frites to name a few! We had the BBQ Station and the Pasta Station for dinner and they were a hit amongst my guests. Their Vodka sauce is amazing! Natasha, their events manager and what I would call a grazing table expert, took care of all my decor needs and wants, and made it look exactly how I envisioned it! She also puts together their epic grazing table. It looked soooo good! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect evening from a caterer than we had. From start to finish everything was smooth and the only thing we had to worry about was having a great time! Setup and clean up was flawless! They left our venues kitchen cleaner than it was when they arrived. Overall 5 Stars! Amazing food, amazing team! Strongly recommend!

After what seemed like a never ending process of catering halls and sub par tastings, we decided to go with a venue that didn't offer food and bring in an outside caterer. As a young couple, we didn't want the usual sit down, Chicken or Fish sort of set up. We found that is what most caterers specialize in. We were lucky enough to find What's The Kitch through a random Google Search and loved what we saw. Upon speaking with one of the owners Dave - we knew that they understood our vision. Or my vision I should say since my fiance just wanted to show up and get married!! We went with a elegant cocktail hour, which featured some awesome small bites (Chicken & Waflles OMG), an amazing Grazing Table that featured so many meats, cheeses, spreads, breads, vegetables, sweets, and so on. It was available from the start of the wedding to the end and was constantly refilled. It got a lot of love. We did two stations. One was the DIY Slider Bar which was a big hit. They were kind enough to accommodate around five vegetarians with a Deep Fried Green Tomato pattie and also accommodate a few Gluten free people, and One person that only eats chicken. The point - they went above and beyond to ensure all of my guests were taken care of, to ensure we had nothing to worry about. We also did the BBQ Station which was what you would expect from a hip typical BBQ restaurant. Though the Mac and Cheese was a real standout. They truly made our big day so easy, stress free and something we will remember forever. Two of our friends that were at the wedding just booked What's The Kitch for their wedding next year.

A wedding is a special time in anyone’s life. The food is one of the most important things for your guests. I recently had what’s the kitch cater my wedding and I couldn’t have been happier with the service. I didn’t have to worry about anything which made my special day that much better. Dave, Jeff & Natasha were truly exceptional. They were very professional and paid close attention to detail. The food was amazing and I would 100% recommend them.
