Amanda Casertano graduated undergrad with a degree in Public Relations and Event Planning, but she went back to school in 2018 to get Master’s Degrees in Special Education and Teaching. Amanda now works as a full-time 5th grade teacher at a school in Staten Island. Before attending graduate school and being hired as a teacher, Amanda worked for The Knot, INK & ROSES, and Ali Fee PR.
Experience
Amanda started her career as a Fashion Intern for Ali Fee PR. She selected looks for celebrity clients while leveraging brand clients. She was then hired by public relations company INK & ROSES as a Consumer Health, Beauty, and Lifestyle Intern and later moved into an Account Coordinator role. In 2016 Amanda joined The Knot team as a Venue Concierge. After a year in this position she transitioned into an Editorial Social Coordinator role. Amanda then returned to school to get her Master’s Degree in Teaching. She was hired as a fifth grade teacher’s assistant at John W. Lavelle Preparatory Charter School in Staten Island, New York. In 2019 Amanda was promoted to a full-time fifth grade teacher.

Amanda received her Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Event Planning from Rider University in Lawrence Township, New Jersey. She holds Master’s Degrees in Special Education and Teaching from Touro College.
