We booked behind the scenes on a recommendation from a family friend and we couldn’t have been more impressed! She was very easy to work with and very easy to talk to and plan mnemonic things well. During our reception she kept everything running smoothly and on point the whole night. She was able to read the room and keep everyone dancing as the music was always exactly what everyone wanted to hear! We have gotten numerous compliments that everyone had so much fun at our wedding and it’s all thanks to her.

Elizabeth was such a pleasure to work with. She has a sweet, warm, and has a firecracker personality that makes you feel right at home. From the beginning, she was eager to be a part of our wedding and was genuine in her desire to contribute to making the night unforgettable for us. She beautifully blended our music and assisted in creating a playlist that suited all of our guests' music preferences. As an officiant, she was beautiful in her execution of presenting us with our vows and ensured that the ceremony flowed according to our wishes. I cannot speak highly enough about Elizabeth and her team - and neither can my guests! She MC'd the entire wedding, she kept things moving and on schedule, and she came up with cute games to keep the guests entertained and engaged while we took photos. This woman is a legend! She’s a champion and one of the best professional DJs in the area. It was a complete pleasure working with her. She actually referred us to our baker. Unfortunately, the groom and I didn’t get to dance till the end of the wedding because we were too busy running around but we were told by our parents, friends and several guests that they loved the music. Yes, yes, yes!!! We loved Behind the Scene Sounds SO much. We didn't know what to expect in hiring a DJ, and ended up interviewing several to find the right one...and knew right away that Elizabeth was the one. She was incredibly professional, fun, organized, and helpful from Day 1. Anytime we didn't know something, or felt confused, she jumped in with incredibly helpful suggestions, and was so warm and welcoming about figuring it out. We felt so confident going into the wedding day -- and we were not disappointed. She was amazing, and literally ran everything behind the scenes (including on the fly adjustment to the timeline when we were behind, just the right amount of checking in with us, and she even offered emotional support to some of our family members!). Elizabeth helped make our Covid wedding a beautiful and intimate experience. Like so many other couples, we were faced a difficult decision to either cancel, postpone, or carry on with limited guests. We chose the latter and although we regret we couldn’t have all our loved ones there we still had a lovely evening. Elizabeth was very easy to work with and helped us along the way with a selection of great filler music and the playlists we sent to her. She was organized, timely, and overall very fun to work with. DJ Elizabeth is the best - she absolutely rocked our wedding reception as our DJ! Leading up to the wedding, Elizabeth was awesome to work with - very easy going, easily accommodated our changes and schedules, and was very helpful in planning the reception hour. The day of the wedding, Elizabeth was on time and set up everything quickly. Then there was the wedding reception. Elizabeth was a great emcee throughout the dinner, cake cutting, speeches, etc. but then absolutely crushhhhed it on the dance floor! Our dance floor was packed during the entire reception and DJ Elizabeth played one great song after another. I've had so many guests since the wedding rave about how great of a dance party it was thanks to Elizabeth. I'd highly recommend hiring DJ Elizabeth for your wedding/event. She's 5/5 stars!

We worked with Liz, and she threw the most amazing party at our wedding! Everyone was up and dancing, and truly didn't want the night to end. She was super professional and helpful, especially since we lived out of state and couldn't meet her in person until the wedding day. She was not pushy about her services and provided us with a discount. She remained very helpful and responsive up until the wedding. She had great insights and even provided us with contacts for any other services that we needed (she is VERY well connected). She provided excellent services on the day of the wedding - everything was well done. It was so nice to just leave the decoration, setup and DJ services to her. I didn't have to worry about a thing, which alleviated a lot of stress! Guests were very impressed with the "dance in the fog". She was professional and went above and beyond for us. She supplied all of our DJ equipment, did our dance floor monogram and gobos for the walls. She also provided uplighting for our VIP lounge area which took it to the next level! She is excellent at what she does and an even more amazing person. Behind the Scenes was such a great and helpful company. I enjoyed every interaction I had with this company. They are professional and friendly. They make you feel so important and are very attentive to your needs. From the up lighting and projected monogram to our amazing DJ Gabe, the whole experience was worth every penny !!

Behind the Scenes is an AMAZING team. Elizabeth actually came in at the last second after tragedy struck the DJ (and his family) we had hired. Our wedding was on a Monday. The Saturday before the wedding (when all good DJ's are working) I found out that our selected DJ had passed away. Not only were we in shock and so horribly sad for his family, we had to find someone with basically a one-day notice.... and everyone was working so not answering calls. Elizabeth called on Sunday and came to run our show on Monday. She was INCREDIBLE. I can't even imagine what she could have done with some time to plan. You will not go wrong working with Elizabeth and her team. SOOOOOO Many thanks Elizabeth!!!

AMAZING!!!! Elizabeth is absolutely wonderful and easy to work with. She gave us tons of great ideas and has every song you could imagine. Our guests are still giving us complements on how wonderful our DJ was.

If it was possible to give more than 5 stars to our DJ, DJ Gabe, my wife and I would! He was very friendly and comfortable to talk to, and he made sure to talk with us many times before the wedding day to make sure he understood exactly what we expected and would like at our wedding. And he absolutely delivered!! We had an outdoor wedding in Incline Village, NV next to Lake Tahoe and the forecast said sunny skies all the way until a couple of hours before the wedding. As soon as the ceremony was over, we were hit with a surprise thunderstorm. Unfortunately, water and electronic equipment don't mix. DJ Gabe had to move all of his equipment twice as the rain repeatedly stopped and started again, but it never once diminished his professionalism or his excitement to be there! He was absolutely perfect the entire day/night and played everything we were hoping for! He made our night magical! We gave him both specific songs to play (some of which were not easy to find) and genre do's/don'ts, and his music selections kept everyone on the dance floor literally the entire evening! We could not have asked for a more perfect person to DJ/emcee our wedding and I would highly recommend him to any bride or groom!! Thank you, DJ Gabe!!!

DJ Elizabeth is hands down the absolute best! We had quite a lengthy reception (7 hours including cocktail hour). Although I wasn't there for cocktail hour (bride and groom pics), as soon as we got there she had the whole party running smoothly. From the grand entrance to the last song the entire reception ran smoothly, largely due to her expertise. Also, I have never been to a wedding where the dance floor was full and partying the entire time. There was not one moment that the dance floor was not full of energy. She played the best music that appeared to EVERYONE. From my grandparents, parents, friends my age, and the kids in the wedding party, everyone was up and partying the whole time. Our wedding brought two cultures together (Mexican and Caucasian) and everyone had the best time. She is amazing at reading a crowd and keeping the party going. I can't say enough great things about Behind the Scene Sound. Also- don't forget about her special lighting features- those made the venue beautiful! THANK YOU ELIZABETH!!!!!

Elizabeth was amazingly helpful, professional, and efficient throughout the entire planning process. The wedding had minor issues like I believe all do realistically (not with her services; just in general) but she made sure it was never apparent. She was so flexible when it came to appointments and last minute changes and her response time was unreal. She met so many of my ridiculous requests and worked with me on the unrealistic ones - I can be pretty difficult at times since I'm a control freak and a perfectionist - Her teams services the day of was impeccable! It's 3 months later and I'm still receiving compliments from guests about the DJ and lighting (BTS provided DJ, MC, Lighting, and decor). Anyone planning a wedding knows how trying it can get and that you end up disliking some of your vendors by the end but I definitely remained pleased with BTS the entire year and a half we spent planning. She truly made our event! I couldn't be happier that we decided to use her even though her bid wasn't the cheapest it was worth every dollar. Look no further, I PROMISE you won't be disappointed!!!!!

BTS did an AMAZING job being not only a great DJ but an awesome Master of Ceremonies. Everyone stayed on the dance floor all night and BEGGED for one more song. I am extremely please with not only the night of the wedding service but the attention to details throughout the planning process. BTS works directly with your venue and vendors so you can enjoy the day and not sweat the small stuff or schedule. I never felt like I was alone in planning songs, Elizabeth had suggestions and nailed our musical style perfectly. I will most definitely use them again in the future and STRONGLY Suggest that everyone use them, BTS will make your day even more special.

Wow!! We loved working with Elizabeth. It was such a fun, easy, and comfortable process. It is very clear that she is experienced in what she does and i love that its a family business and local. Between BTSS and our photographers (A moment of Joy), they were the two BEST components to my wedding day. Everyone loved the music and it was incredibly fun and entertaining. I highly recommend doing the "kissing game" that Elizabeth offers. It was hilarious and everyone loved it. I would hire BTSS again in a heartbeat.

I can't say enough about this amazing group of DJ's. I had two son's getting married three weeks apart and we used Behind the Scene Sounds for both events...a little background about me. I've been involved in wedding reception decor and catering events for many years and have seen my share of DJ's. Elizabeth, Mike & Troy are FAR above every other DJ company I've come across! I met Elizabeth at a bridal show and instantly had a really good feeling about her. She took the time to talk to me about the two event dates I needed and was very grateful that I asked how she would run a reception. Because a DJ can make or break your event! She gave me all of the right answers so I booked them right on the spot. We started off by meeting with Elizabeth to go over our reception timeline. She went over everything in detail which was a relief that we now had one less thing to worry about. Elizabeth & Troy DJ'd the first reception, Mike & Troy DJ'd the second. Both receptions were a blast! They ran both of them above and beyond my expectations! Elizabeth and Troy were fantastic during our backyard reception.Playing the music at the perfect volume during cocktail hour & dinner, getting all of our guests through the buffet in a fun way that everyone enjoyed. They played games with the bride, groom and our guests, then pumped it up to get everyone out on the dance floor to have a great rest of the evening. Our second reception was a formal reception. Mike & Troy were our DJ's for this event. I just want to start out by saying, I've never had so many compliments to what an amazing reception we hosted. (and again, I've done wedding receptions for years) I have to thank Behind The Scene Sounds for that compliment! Mike & Troy were fabulous! We had a snag with the food, the restaurant didn't have our food delivered by the time we were supposed to be eating but Mike did his magic and not one person at the reception knew. He played a few games and kept everyone so entertained that no one even saw the food going into the chafers. Whew! Now that's entertaining a group of 200 guests!!! I could go on forever about this amazing team of DJ's but more than anything, they have your back, hold down the show, and keep everyone so entertained that your guests will all walk away with a smile. We couldn't have chosen a better service for our daughter's wedding reception. Everyone at Behind the Scenes (BTS) was so friendly and professional, from the moment we met with Elizabeth to choose songs, to the reception where Troy masterfully and seamlessly ran the perfect music, and MC Mike, with his great voice and sense of humor, had everyone laughing and dancing all night. The music, games, and jokes were family friendly and spanned the decades of guests, who keep telling us 'that was the best wedding party ever!'. We started with Rat Pack music, which happens to be a favorite of Troy's (who is older than he looks), mixed in our unusual musical show tune that they went out and got just for us, and rounded out the evening with fun dance music from the 80s to the present. Their dress and equipment were all top notch, and their price was excellent. My only suggestion would be to check available dates with them early, as they're very popular and book up far in advance. They ran the timeline and coordinated the evening with us so well, we were able to finally sit back and enjoy the evening. Many thanks to BTS for a lovely, unforgettable night.

Beyond the Scenes Sound provided me with dj services, decor, entertainment, and so much more! On a really strict budget, BSS created a package that made my wedding one to remember! Even though I was a customer BSS, treated me as if I was family. Got married in June 13, 2015, and we ran in to some financial difficulty, but Elizabeth was very helpful and understanding, and I was able to complete my payment. So thankful to have this company and would deffinetly refer my friends and family to them. Anything you want or need, they probably have; and if they don't, they'll point you in the right direction! Words cannot explain how amazing Behind the scene sound made my wedding day! Not only is Elizabeth a great person, she is a hard worker that knows her stuff and knows just how to entertain a crowd. My guests told me this was the best wedding they had ever been too, not sure if that was the alcohol talking, but I'm ok with that! :) My favorite part of the night was the key drop where all the ladies that once had a key to my heart had to return it to me back in a jar, was not expecting that one. And of course my first dance was stellar! The dancing on a cloud effect was perfect! If I could give Elizabeth more stars I would! Our special day was on 10/3 and all I can do is think about how amazing it was thanks to Elizabeth. When I first walked in the reception my eyes just lit up, from the gorgeous lighting around the room, monogram, dancing on the cloud, the sweetheart table, backdrop, the games, music and lots of surprises. This business is very professional, dependable and knows how to keep the guest very well entertained with lots of interaction. You will hear lots of ooooohs and aaaaaaahs! Their work is flawless. I am the MOB and couldn't be more pleased with Elizabeth and BTSS! Immediately the problems disappeared and the fun began! Everyone of all ages said this was the best run, most beautiful, organized and worry-free wedding ever attended. I truly cannot thank or recommend these guys enough. The Dancing on a Cloud was amazing, special bubbles heralded the new Mr. & Mrs., songs that brought tears, and others rocked the house! MC work was perfect and took the worry out of the day for me. Elizabeth even found my lost keys before the ceremony that aborted a potential breakdown on my part-lol. Both bride and groom left happy and grateful. Reasonable rates, too.

This is a story about the best time of two peoples lives and the DJ & MC that made it all possible. From the moment we arrived at our reception we where under the wings of Elizabeth (DJ) and Derwin (MC) for the remainder of our night. They held us all evening to our scheduled itinerary and did it flawlessly. Everything flowed smoothly all evening long. As we entered the reception to greet our guests for the first time as a married couple it was more than we expected as far as service goes throughout the entire night. But before I get to this story, it really starts way before the wedding. It starts with how we met Derwin and Elizabeth. We met Elizabeth at a open house where we listened to her brilliant ideas and took in her confidence that she could provide the level of entertainment and energy we wanted at our reception. After only speaking a short while with Elizabeth we knew we had found our DJ for our wedding. We called just a few short days after meeting Elizabeth to discover our event day was available with them. There was several scheduled meetings with Elizabeth and Derwin at their house and we went over all the details from beginning to end of our event. From music to lighting, fun games and crowd participation, MC commentary and help choosing songs for entrance walk to the last dance song. We listened to music probably for longer than we should have, but every time we left Elizabeth's and Derwin's house we left smiling and talking the whole way home and into the night. They offered many different lighting packages with hundreds of colors of up-lighting to match exactly the color of our wedding party and table colors. The lighting package that we chose by Behind The Scenes Sounds was perfect for our event. Really, Honestly, Truth be told Behind The Scenes Sounds was the most solid decision we made so far in the starting of our lives together. They made the our evening a 1000 times better than we ever thought it was going to be. Their professionalism and courtesy was 110% all the time. Through out the past 5 years I have either catered or attended over 30 plus weddings. I can say without a doubt that D and Liz are the absolute best at what they do. Their calm professional demeanor helped us through the entire planning process, the listened to all of our specific music requests and knew just how to make all guests feel comfortable with volume and song choice! From the very beginning, when we met to the very last dance, was the most pleasurable experience! At every point in the ceremony, every song was right on point. Everything that was written in our notes that they helped us to prepare, came alive and unfolded right before our very eyes! What a joyous and amazing feeling that no words can explain. The excitement did not stop there. The energy and fun moved with them right into the reception where they so happily and skillfully kept the attention of all of our guests for more than 5 hours with music, dancing, line dancing, games and much more! Because of this company, our wedding exceeded normal. It was an exceptional production! Thanks to this company, our wedding was not just the wedding of the year, but was the wedding of the decade. My daughter and son-in-law's wedding took place at the Masonic Temple in Sacramento less than 2 weeks ago. I was so very impressed by the professionalism shown by Derwin and Elizabeth throughout the afternoon and evening. They captured the right type of music for both the mature and young audience. The uplighting for the reception was awesome highlighting the architecture of the room while providing a romantic backdrop for this special magical evening. They totally took charge, kept to a schedule, and constantly checked in with the various participants to see if they wanted to add or do something different. The evening was enchanting and went on without a glitch! Thank you "Behind the Scenes" you are wonderful. I highly recommend your group to all.

Mike and Troy did our daughter's wedding reception and we could not have been happier. They definitely knew how to get the party started and keep it going until they kicked us out. All the guests wanted to stay and dance! Everyone thought Mike was amazing -- great personality! Troy chose the best songs to keep the party hopping the entire night. Elizabeth and Darren were the best DJs selected for our wedding reception music. We met with them a few times to get to know one another with our last meeting involving our music selection. This was the second time we were exposed to Elizabeth and Darren. The first gig we were exposed to Elizabeth and Darren was for my in-laws 25th wedding anniversary party three years ago. After that party my husband and I knew that they were going to be our DJ for our wedding. Our music selection was amazing and everything we wanted! Elizabeth and Darren are professionals at tailoring your wedding day music to your personal taste-which is awesome! Our guest were on their feet the entire time music was playing! I was married on April 12, 2014 in Sacramento, CA. I scoured ‘The Knot’ for DJ recommendations and came across Behind the Scene Sounds. Because I live out of state, I spoke to Elizabeth over the phone and had a sit down with her and her husband Derwin when we were in town for the holidays. We knew right away that they were the DJ service for us. We didnt have to call around to compare. WE LOVED THEM. They knew exactly what we wanted, gave us sample songs to listen to help us decide what songs we would like played during our ceremony, and even taught my mom how to shake her booty. They were so personable and down to earth. They were the only ones who gave me a real vision of what my big day was going to look like. The day of my wedding was by far the best day of my life - cliché, I know. But I can honestly say that Derwin and Elizabeth were a big part of that. I still have family members telling me that Behind the Scene Sound was phenomenal. They played the best music all night long. There was never a boring second. I can’t thank them enough for making my day so special. They were so great in so many ways. The cost for their service was well worth the price (and they weren’t even on the high end) - trust me, the music was spot on and the lights were great. I'd recommend them any day.

I knew when I hired Liz for my sisters wedding this May that I was in good hands. This woman made you feel like family from the get-go. She was always very warm, professional and determined to give you absolutely what you want. I came to her with event lighting needs and before you know it, she was providing av equipment for a slide show and creating a backdrop for the main stage too. I simply could not have asked for more. She gave more than any vendor normally would and made me feel taken care of every step of the way until it was finally time to go home. And because of that she will get my business in the future and will recommend her to anyone needing event lighting. Kudos to her and her team. Amazing job:)

Elizabeth and Derwin were amazing! they made our day one of the best! We couldn't have asked for much more. They helped us every step of the way and completely understood both of our styles. Behind the Scene Sounds is phenomenal. Elizabeth is so easy and fun to work with, she takes part of the stress of getting married away. She also has great ideas/suggestions of ways to make your wedding even more wonderful. If you're contemplating getting the "Dancing on the Cloud" trust me, GET IT. I think it was the highlight of my wedding and my guests are still talking about how amazing the effect was. I loved the uplighting, the monograms, and the DJ-ing that Elizabeth and her company provided for us. Dee and Elizabeth are AMAZING! Their experience, professionalism and passion for the work they do is exceptional. They LOVE what they do and it shows in the quality of their work. BTS did our lighting, music for ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, MC'ing, entertaining, and anything else we needed to make the night as smooth as possible. They went above and beyond to make our wedding one truly unforgettable night! We received so many compliments on how well they entertained our guests and kept the party rockin'! Dee and Elizabeth helped us plan out our wedding day from start to finish. I loved that no matter how ragged tired we were from work and life stresses, we always left our planning meetings feeling pumped and excited for our wedding day. (Our cheeks and sides would be sore from smiling and laughing with them like they do after a good night out with friends. ) I am a very visual person and I also really suck at recognizing song titles or artist names, so they would happily act out the part or play the music for us to help me visualize how everything would coming together. There were some parts of the ceremony that we had no idea about or couldn't decide on how we wanted it to play out, so they would act out different scenarios and ideas that have been very successful in their experience. Even better, when we shared the details we had in mind, they were able to embellish upon them to make them even better. They were always so full of ideas and creativity - it was fun throwing ideas back and forth. Whenever we had questions or changed our minds about stuff they were quick to respond and very flexible. Elizabeth would often respond to my emails within moments of sending it. As individuals they are very genuine, warm and fun-loving people. We felt very comfortable with them and confident that we were in good hands. My husband and I even had a few bumps along the way in our lives. Dee and Elizabeth were patient and very accommodating. I am so glad my friend recommended them to me and I would happily recommend them to all my friends and family in a heartbeat!

To say that our expectations were exceeded thru the whole process of our wedding working with BTS would be an understatement. Not only were they more than helpful from the gate, but their professionalism and expertise provided us comfort knowing they would make our day nothing short of amazing. Dee and Elizabeth became like family to us, and on our wedding day they were at our beckoning call even when they were not required to be. With all of the hoopla of the day and keeping up with schedule, we came back in from taking our pictures and the guests were not even close to dying down. There were things they provided that we had no clue would be part of our evening, and the tandem worked extremely well together in the transitioning of music, announcements, and overall vibrancy of the evening. I'd like to think they were our MVP's when it came to our vendors. The lighting and monogram were spot on of what we asked for, and complimented the colors of the wedding to a tee. When everyone that attended the wedding continually tells us that it was the best wedding they have ever been to, and that the music was perfectly put and ambiance appropriate, BTS definitely held a lot of that responsibility. I would have them at a house party, graduations, shoot even a funeral. They hold a special place in our hearts for their services, and we are forever in their gratitude. When I first started planning my wedding 8 months ago I wasn't sure where to even start but I did have a vision in mind. Finally after so much research I came across Dee and Elizabeth. I booked with them before I had ever even met them and it was the best decision! My husband and I met with them for the first time about month and a half before the wedding and sat down with them for almost 3 hours covering every little detail of the wedding. It was fabulous. They have so many wonderful ideas. They are so caring and they totally understood my vision! Come my wedding day they completely transformed my boring hall and it looked SO stunning with all the lighting they did. And the music and entertainment they offered was phenomenal! Let me first say that I couldn't have imagined my wedding any more perfect! From the beginning Dee and Elizabeth were amazing! One of our first meetings with them they broke everything down so that we were able to visualize how the event would be, which was great because then we knew what to expect. We didn't have a wedding coordinator so it was nice to know that during our busy day, we had someone else to count on to tell us what the next thing would be (i.e first dance, cake cutting, etc.) as the day flys by! Elizabeth has an array of music and was open to having my brother bring his music and guest dj. Dee was an amazing MC, and had everyone laughing and kept us on que. Elizabeth and Dee were amazing at our Wedding. Since the first day we called, Elizabeth was very helpful. She even suggested a variety of vendors for other things we needed. They were both so open to our music choices, Spanish, English and Hindi! They even accepted music changes to our first dance and other dances we had, literally as we walked into the reception. They made sure to mix the music so that everyone at the wedding was on their feet the entire night! There is not one person that told us they did not have the time of their lives at our wedding. We enjoyed every second of it, and I would recommend BTSSound in a heart beat. They were the best!

Me and my husband really didn't know what Dj to go with and we got a reference from a friend's friend and decided we would check them out. They were a little more pricey than we had wanted, but I am so happy we spent the extra money. The DJ makes your wedding and if you don't spend the little extra for them you will regret it. They did everything for us. I didn't have a wedding coordinator and actually didn't even need one. They took care of all the details for the day of and made a time line for us. They are very professional and FUN. They keep all the quest very entertained. I am so pleased with how everything went. They did a lot of stuff that kept everyone laughing. I can't even count the amount of complements I got about our DJs and keep getting. I can say that our day would not have been as fun and special if we didn't have Behind the Scene Sounds as our DJs. They are awesome!!!

My husband and I absolutely loved Dee an Liz!! they are so friendly and energetic... the life creator of the party! they did an amazing job with the music, lighting, and entertainment! our guests loved them as well! I want to have another party soon just to have them entertain us again! :)

Words can not even start to describe how much fun our wedding was thanks to Elizabeth and Derwin. They were kind to our guests and sooooooo professional. I really liked working with Elizabeth. She was very professional and had a lot of experience and knowledge about weddings that helped me decide what kind of lighting I wanted. One thing I also really liked about Lite Sacramento is that they were able to show me the lighting and colors when I met with them. It made it so much easier for me to decide what I wanted. The lighting and effects were beautiful on the day of my wedding. I absolutely loved the dancing on the cloud effect also...my guests are still talking about it!

We hired Dee & Elizabeth Terry with BTSsound to Dj our wedding on July 9,2011. We couldnt have made a better choice they did an amazing job the did all our up lighting it looked beautiful. They came to rehursal and played all the music they were even on site and playing music before i arrived (i arrived at 4 wedding was at 6). 5 stars is just not high enough for Behind the Scene Sounds. Derwin & Elizabeth are just amazing and are so easy to work with. From the moment you meet them you fell like you have known them forever. They are truely the reason that our wedding was such a success. They plan out every aspect of the ceremony and reception and made sure that all the guests felt included in avery aspect of the reception. They even had some surprises that turened out to be some of my favorite parts of the day. You can not go wrong with BTSSounds!
