On the quality front of things, Jennifer van Wyk delivered so well! The bouquets were STUNNING, the tables looked great, etc. However, I told Jennifer I had an arch for the ceremony, but she brought garland pieces for a cross instead. There was... some kind of miscommunication there. Also, I asked for all of my garland pieces (including the one on the arch) to have incorporated flowers. My wedding coordinator came to me while getting ready asking if the garland on the arch was supposed to have flowers because with the way it was set up, it was just a piece of garland hanging on the arch. My wedding coordinator had to call the florist because her and her team already left after setup to tell her she needed to come back & finish the job. Again, another miscommunication. My wedding turned out beautifully with the florals; it really did! However, working with Jennifer was super difficult at times. I would send emails, and sometimes, I would get a quick response. At other times, I wouldn’t hear back for a week + and would have to send follow-up emails, call the store, etc. This happened on multiple occasions. It was very frustrating. Unfortunately, out of my entire team of vendors, she was the most difficult one to work with. So when picking her as a florist, you really have to figure out what’s important to you. Yes, she will make your day beautiful. However, if it weren’t for my wedding coordinator, I probably would have had such a basic arch with one piece or garland hanging and that’s it. Also, she is not very good at communicating with her customers until it’s convenient for her. I wish I could give her a better review, but with the hiccups/misunderstandings on the day of the wedding after we reviewed my order more than a few times before the wedding, the customer service was a huge letdown.
