The phrase “best band ever heard at a wedding” will be thrown around very often by your friends and family. It was an absolute joy working with Ilana, Julia, Josh, Darren, and the rest of the team at On The Move. Their videos almost undersell how incredible they sound and I truly don’t think my wife or I left the dance floor for the entire night. Everything was absolutely perfect and I could not rate them any higher. I highly highly recommend working with them if you’re able. Thank you to everyone there who gave us a wedding night beyond our dreams.

Synergy from On the Move- DJ/Band combo for my son's wedding was amazing!! We were thrilled, they did such an awesome job and the bride and groom were so happy. Everyone was on the dance floor the entire night. Totally exceeded our already high expectations! We used Synergy for my son's bar mitzvah and so it was very special to have them back for his wedding and they did such a great job at his bar mitzvah that it was an easy choice to use them again. They are truly the best of everything - the feel of a band without the size of a band setup and the variety and benefits of a DJ!

OtM was wonderful from start to finish. True professionals that were hands on from the early planning phases to the execution of the event. DJ Loyal was an incredible performer that felt out our vibe perfectly throughout the entire event. He set the tone right away based on our preferred song list and sprinkled in his own style and sets that fit our event’s vibe. I give OtM and DJ Loyal a lot of credit for helping make our wedding night the best night of my life. Highly recommend!

worked with on the move to handle the music for my wedding reception. The team was amazing! They listened to my goals for the evening and helped me curate the musical entertainment for the evening. They asked a ton of questions about flow of the event, specific songs or acts to play, and anything to stay away from to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. We settled on a jazz trio for cocktail hour, followed by DJ Martin to turn up the party along with live saxophone and percussion. Can’t say enough good things about DJ Martin who knows electronic music well and seamlessly blended in some Bollywood hits. The entire team was organized, communicative and executed my vision flawlessly. Highly recommend working with them!

We hired OTM's band, The Collective, for our June 2022 wedding. The OTM crew was FANTASTIC! Truly can't say enough good things. It was admittedly a bit nerve wracking choosing a band during the pandemic, when I wasn't able to listen to any live, but I could not be more glad I went with OTM. Darren was incredibly professional and helpful during the planning process which gave me great comfort. The group sang beautifully, looked beautiful, just amazing. I literally didn't leave the room to change into my after party dress because I didn't want to miss a moment of their set. While everyone in the band and crew was amazing, I have to give a special shoutout to Josh and MJ. Josh made me feel incredibly taken care of and MJ won my heart with her charm and insanely talented voice.

Working with On The Move Entertainment (OTM) and choosing The New Millennials (TNM) for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. Darren, Lisa, Sam and the wider OTM team is incredibly professional and walked us through all the things we had to consider and plan in advance, even humoring our quite extensive must play list. The vibe of the music during cocktail hour, dinner and the dance sets was exactly what we hoped for and beyond. Josh was also an amazing presence as day-of producer. We've received more than one request for info on TNM and – honestly, to a person – everyone raved about the music all night, saying TNM was one of the best bands they've ever seen at a wedding. Our guests were on the dance floor all night, which is why we knew in advance to extend an extra hour. Thanks again to OTM/TNM for making one of – if not the most – important things of the night run so seamlessly!

The New Millennials hit the high note at my son’s destination wedding in DC on 11/06/21. Extremely professional, beautifully dressed with a chic party edge going on.. Our mostly NYC crowd were on their feet the entire night. We had 12 pieces and the sound was simply amazing. The singers were great, MC engaged the guests with his happy to be there vibe. On The Move’s The Collective ROCKED OUR WORLD!! When planning our big day, we reviewed so many vendors but deciding on the entertainment was pretty easy once we heard The Collective in OTM’s Cabaret Room. Not only were we in awe from the moment we saw them, but we knew they’d be the perfect addition to our wedding day. The talent they offered was entirely unmatched from the musicians to the vocalists (WE LOVE YOU MJ <3), everyone was absolutely spectacular. We were very excited to hear them perform all our favorite songs and dance along with us and all our guests. We knew they’d put on a show, but didn’t expect the performance of a lifetime… we’re still on cloud 9 weeks later. We couldn’t have asked for a better group, even our guests are still calling/texting us to rave about The Collective especially the trumpet player :) We hope we get to see them again soon and will certainly consider them for future events. We highly recommend The Collective for your wedding or any event if you’re looking for a night and performance to remember.

We booked The New Millennials from On the Move Entertainment after hearing them at a showcase in New York. They were absolutely amazing, looked gorgeous and made sure our guests all had the absolute best night of their lives! The singers were on the dance floor and interacting with our guests which we loved and they made sure to keep the flow of the night going smoothly. Every member of the band is beyond talented, we were told this band was “the best” that’s ever performed at our venue. Could agree more, highly recommend!!

There are not enough words or thank you's to be said to Darren + the OTM team. From day 1 when they welcomed us into their offices we felt right at home and knew we had made the perfect entertainment selection for our wedding. We had some interesting requests but the team did not even flinch. From incorporating Greek Music, where the band learned not only the music but the lyrics also (!!!), to the perfect Gypsy King cover bad to working seamlessly with secondary entertainment... THEY. NAILED. IT. Souled Out really worked with us to customize our playlist to what we wanted in order to achieve the vibe and energy we wanted on the dance floor. If ever the dance floor looked bare Souled Out knew exactly what to do to bring it and pull guests back in. Our night would not have been the same without them, without the entire OTM team. They played a huge part in making a dream come true and giving us the perfect wedding night.They were so amazing that the only time I left the dance floor was to head home. If I could give them 10 starts out of 5, I would. Not only for their talent, but for their professionalism, their fearlessness to go outside the box and their energy. They are the best!

I can promise you that during cocktail hour, as we started greeting guests, the FIRST thing we heard was how incredible the jazz band was. I think, to quote, a guest said, "Holy crap, guys, I've never heard a jazz band play Kurt Cobain!!". From the incredible band, to DJ Loyal.... When we were getting ready for our entrance into the dining room, one of the service staff outside with us said, "Wow, I haven't heard a hype entrance this good in a long time".... and then to dancing the night away with a DJ who just KNEW this crowd would thrive with musical and boy band sing alongs... we (let's be honest... I...) can't thank you all enough. It was a party we will never forget. We know it takes a village, and of course, we would be remiss if we didn't acknowledge how LONG the team worked with us through two covid reschedules and replanning. It seriously means the world to us to have partners who made our day one that we will never forget.

I knew that a quality wedding band absolutely makes the wedding a party to remember, and The New Millennials, of On the Move, totally exceeded our expectations – they are the ultimate wedding band. On the Move Entertainment was absolutely amazing. Not only did they roll with ups and downs of rescheduling, but prioritized making us feel comfortable and confident in their company. We booked them over a year in advance and they did not disappoint. Due to current circumstances we were not able to attend any live showcases but watched their videos and spoke to Darren and Scott who were great. Our wedding day couldn't have been more perfect they took our playlist into account but also read the vibe of the crowd to get the party going. EVERYONE commented on how amazing the band was- guests of ours were taking videos throughout the night. We were in awe of the voices of the singers and musical talent of everyone in the band. We cannot recommend them enough. We were overjoyed and grateful that they brought some sort of normal back during a time that's been so uncertain.

Book. These. Guys. Now. On the Move more than exceeded our expectations at our wedding and were pretty much the highlight of the event! They created so many unforgettable moments throughout the night; from their accompaniment as I walked down the aisle to the last song the DJ spun during the afterparty, the music and energy was perfect. They got absolutely everyone onto the dance floor at the start of the reception and the vibe just stayed that way the whole night, along with some more poignant quieter moments when needed. From their excellent renditions of our personalized song choices (we had a very specific setlist) to their energized interactions with the guests, they made the party what it was. By far the most consistent compliment we got from everyone throughout the night and long, long after was some variation of 'WOW, that band' or 'where on earth did you guys find that band' and 'that was by far and away the best band I've ever heard at a wedding' and so on. We heard that from a LOT of people, and we completely agree. On the Move were wonderful. We had so much fun and so did all of our guests. A million thank yous to their amazing artists.

Richie, Synergy and the entire On the Move Entertainment team were a dream from start to finish. From our first meeting at the office, we knew we made the right decision. Choosing the Troy Curtis band for our wedding was by far the best wedding decision we made. Before we signed, we met with Troy and he followed it up with a video of a band member singing our 1st dance song, which helped to seal the deal. The planning process was seamless- as Gabe did a great job of walking us through the day of several times. We really appreciated that he and the band kept our choreographed 1st dance a secret from our wedding planner (aka my mom) and ensured the performance would be seamless. The number one compliment we got after our wedding was about the band and how amazing they were. Troy and his band did it all- sang, dance and got the crowded pumped up at all the right times. Troy exceeded all expectations and ensured every guest had a song they could dance to! All of our favorite songs were playing all night long and we never wanted the party to end!

My wife and I had an incredible experience with this company and their band The Collective. They brought a ton of energy, amazing vocals, and insane instrumentals. Our MC/ Band leader had our guests on their feet on the dance floor and delivered one of the best wedding sets. Everyone blended vocally and the mixture of songs was spot on perfect. Working with this company from start to finish was professional. We went to the studio to meet with the company and heard vocals acapella, which made the experience special and very welcoming. We had great phone conversations, and used an online portal to communicate with the music coordinator to select songs and give requests. I have to repeat that the vocals and instrumentals were top notch, along with everyone on stage looked great and it it makes sense why they are called the collective, because the energy was very organic and felt collective. Our guests could not stop raving about how much fun they had and that the band was the best they have heard/witnessed. We met with Troy and his management team once at his office in NYC for 45 minutes. Never heard them play nor seen them play and placed a deposit to secure our NYE wedding 18 months out. There was just something about Troy and his team that I knew in my gut, this was our entertainment for our wedding. We had the Troy Curtis Band at our wedding in September and I cannot stress enough how out of this world they were!!!! Picking a band can be so stressful since people often don’t know what they’re paying for- but from the time that we saw TCB perform in their cabaret space, we had our hearts set and they did not disappoint!! Gabe was a pleasure to work with and always made sure to periodically check in with us before the wedding day to go over logistics. Troy and the band were not only talented but fun and lively, keeping the dance floor completely packed the entire night! They were able to perform such a wide range of music including Sinatra, oldies, disco, rock, rap, and top 40. We gave them some song suggestions but for the most part put our trust in them to judge the crowd and base their song choices off of the energy- and they did not disappoint. Guests were approaching Troy for business cards all night and people are still telling us that this was the best band they have ever experienced at a wedding. We absolutely loved this band for our wedding - guests were coming up to us weeks after raving that this was the best band they had ever heard at a wedding! They had tons of energy, totally made the party, the singers were awesome. As the old adage goes, a wedding is not a success unless there’s great music and great food. On the Move Entertainment was the first vendor we booked for our destination wedding in Hilton Head, South Carolina and they absolutely delivered on setting the tone for a great party. After seeing OTM perform at The Knot Gala wedding industry event my husband and I knew they were the band for us. From our first meeting with Darren and Hiromi we knew we were in good hands. The band’s music selections were spot on, the group as a whole was professional and easy to work with and all performers were extremely talented. Our guests could not stop commenting on how great the music was, even days after the wedding weekend. I would recommend OTM one thousand times over for any wedding or special event!

We worked with The New Millennials for our wedding and I can state confidently that it was the best vendor choice we made. People were coming up to me during my wedding and even after telling me that this is the best band they've ever heard. The band was constantly interacting with the crowd and they kept everyone dancing the entire night. We had some odd song choices and they were able to work with everything we threw at them. You need to book them early because people are discovering how awesome they are, but if you manage to book them you will not be disappointed!! These guys are the absolute best.

We recently contracted the Troy Curtis Band at On the Move Entertainment to perform at our wedding at Gotham Hall in NYC. As far as customers go, we are among the most discerning given one of us is a musician and both of us are passionate music lovers and patrons with a broad range of musical interests. While there are many talented bands in the NY tri-state area, we selected Troy and his band for not only their INCREDIBLE MUSICAL TALENT but for their personal touch and focus on CLIENT SERVICE. They spent several hours with us getting to know us as a couple and our musical likes and dislikes. They welcomed us into their studio and spent two hours walking us through how the night would unfold, showing us videos of their band members performing, and sampling different types of music with us. As far as our wedding, their performances during our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL from start to finish! We had chosen several obscure songs for our ceremony, first dance, and reception that were very difficult to learn. We were particularly nervous about our first dance as a married couple, as we gave Troy’s band only 6 days to learn our song. Their sound quality, both instrumental and vocal, was outstanding!!! Their energy and enthusiasm was infectious and transcended the room, with everyone on the dance floor the entire night! It’s been a month since our wedding and people are still raving about Troy and the band. One of our guests said, “I’m not sure what you paid for the band, but you should triple it because they are amazing!” In a word, this band is truly MIND-BLOWING. We can’t thank them enough for making our wedding truly spectacular and wish we could follow them around like groupies to all of their gigs!

Well...are you free next weekend to do it all over again?! The reviews are in and everyone is OBSESSED with The New Millennials! My only regret is that we didn't get to dance for eight hours straight! They were so amazing! From the opening song at the ceremony to the closing Van Halen medley, we were in HEAVEN and everyone came up to us and said it was the best wedding band they had ever heard. Period. We all felt like we were at the best concert of our lives! Thank you for making our wedding the best party ever!!! I cannot say enough about On The Move Entertainment and the New Millennials. As a musician, I did hours and hours of research on the best bands in the area and I can save you that time to say THIS IS THE ONE. They are absolutely phenomenal musicians and play all of the top hits / old school songs with perfection (and I am very picky!!). They also responded very well to feedback (eg do not play songs and requests for the sax to come out into the crowd to get people revved with Jubel). Our friends and family are still raving about the band! They are hands down best band / team in NYC.

Words can’t express how happy we are with The New Millenials. BEST NIGHT EVER!! They rocked our party all night long. On The Move as a whole went above and beyond for us and truly made the night spectacular! Not only did everyone all night keep telling us how amazing the band was, almost every guest texted us the day after asking us for their information. The New Millennial's set the tone (quite literally) for a magical evening, start to finish. Finding a show-stopping band was the #1 priority for us when we started planning for our wedding, and trust me, we saw just about every band in the NY Metro area. As soon as we saw TNM we knew we had to go with them— their energy is amazing, and there just aren't many, if any, bands who can play the full range of older wedding classics just as well as the newest dance hits and vice versa. Most importantly, they were a pleasure to work with and really got to know you so that the music for the evening had your stamp as a couple and didn't feel in the slightest bit like your average wedding run through. From moving ceremony music, cocktails to "hotline bling" on the sax and tracks, incredible vocals for dinner, to a literal nonstop dance party reception that felt like you were at a concert, our guests (some of whom are touring musicians) couldn't stop talking about how impressive they were. Go with them and they will blow your expectations away!

My husband and I found On The Move through the Knot. We never saw them in person and didn’t know anyone who had hired them, but we took a shot, albeit a nervous one. WE LUCKED OUT. Two months post wedding we are still receiving calls, texts, and other messages reminiscing on a great wedding, due in large part to an incredible band. We wanted our wedding to be more like a party and less like a wedding and On The Move made our wishes come true. Overall I highly recommend. They worked seamlessly with our other vendors and venue. Can we do it all over again?? A+!

Troy Curtis and On The Move Events & Entertainment were incredible! First, we stopped by the studio and heard them practice, which was so helpful in making a decision about a wedding band. We heard their talent and saw the energy they brought to their performances. After we signed them, Troy and Gabriel really took the time to talk to my wife and me to create the perfect mix of songs to play at the wedding. They also took the time to learn and rehearse a few of our favorite songs. They were so easy to work with throughout the whole process. As far as the music goes, the band was absolutely amazing! They were not only naturally talented, but they also brought so much energy to the reception. Troy at several points in the night got on the dance floor while singing and energized the crowd. Our dance floor was packed until 1 a.m. We were only planning to stay at the reception ballroom until midnight and move on to a bar we had reserved for the afterparty, but no one (ourselves included) wanted to leave the dance floor. So we cancelled the afterparty and extended our reception. So many of our guests said the band was the best band they had ever seen at a wedding. A few guests were disappointed that they had already signed other bands for their upcoming weddings. One of our guests said she would have flown the band overseas for her wedding if she hadn't already gotten a local band for her wedding. In addition to their talent and energy, the band can play a wide range of genres, from 80's, 90's rock, top 40's, hip-hop, country, indie, and the wedding classics. They can also judge the flow of the dance floor and can play just the right song at just the right time seamlessly. I cannot recommend this band enough!

The band was a huge part of making our wedding so memorable! They kept people on the dance floor the whole time, sounded brilliant, and added a great flow to the reception. Our legs were sore for a few days afterward from dancing so much. In the planning process, they were very responsive, personable, and easy to work with. Highly recommend!

We hired the Troy Curtis Band for our wedding this past weekend. I am in the events industry and On The Move was my first choice to go to. If you want to have a wedding, where every guest comes up to you and says "This is the BEST wedding band we have ever heard!" then hire this band! Troy and Gabe were so amazing to work with. They understood who we were and what kind of party we wanted. They KILLED it!!! We even gave them a task to change words and cut some parts of our first dance song and it was perfection. You can't go wrong, this will be the best decision you make for your wedding. My family and my husbands family were so impressed on how Troy would go up to them and check on them during the event. I got married at the Four Seasons Downtown and the hotel recommended the Troy Curtis Band through On The Move Entertainment. Troy Curtis band were the greatest wedding band I have ever seen! Troy is the ultimate MC. He got everyone out on the dance floor and just set the best vibe. His band and all singers are amazing and can perform all genres of music seamlessly. Troy continually checked in with me throughout the night which was greatly appreciated. I cannot say enough good things about Troy and his band! Love love love them.

From our introductory conversation through the wedding day, On the Move, The New Millennials, Gabe and Darren were beyond a pleasure to work with. Gabe and I had so much fun planning and walking through every part of the wedding day. He listened to what we wanted and made great recommendations when needed. At the wedding itself - there are no words to describe how amazing they were. The music was perfect from start to finish and the reception was SO MUCH FUN! I've lost track of how many people told us how amazing the band was and how they've never danced so much at a wedding. They had everyone on the dance floor. I can't recommend or thank them enough!!!

Chapel ceremony; a jazz combo for cocktail hour; and the nine-piece, knock-your-socks off The New Millennials band for the reception. What a blast! Dani and Gabe are consummate professionals, who made planning the music for the wedding easy and fun. They helped us put together a play list that spanned 8 decades, which kept everyone of every age on the dance floor. The band was excellent at “reading the crowd”, knowing when to play what, and keep everyone engaged. Best of all, the dancing went on much later than we thought it would—and the band played on, loving it as much as we did! We put a great deal of faith and trust in their ability to do this, and we were very glad we did! All the On the Move business cards that were placed near the bandstand were taken by our guests by the end of the evening. Two of them have already asked for contact information. Troy and his amazing band performed at my black tie wedding at Tribeca Rooftop in June 2018. Actually a good friend (and frequent fancy wedding attendee) recommended him after seeing them at a wedding in 2017 and I booked him right away without hesitation. I'm so glad I did, it was a MAJOR highlight of the evening and so many of our guests raved about how incredible their energy was. They have a large repertoire of current and throwback hits which will please friends and parents. Also, they do a great job of managing the crowd's energy levels (and a couple rowdy guests haha). They were communicative in the days leading to, and took charge which I appreciated. Let them do their thing, they're pros. Highly highly recommend!

The number one compliment I received during my wedding was, "THE BAND!" Words won't do justice to just how incredible they were - easy to work with, helpful during planning and the day of and they can play *anything* you request: from Prince to Nirvana to Spice Girls to Blind Melon, they just nail it. On the Move ROCKS (pun intented). If you are considering them for you event, *BOOK THEM.*

Synergy was the BEST music option we could have asked for. Guests are still talking about the performance, almost two months later. We had friends tell us they rushed in from food to catch Bobbi Storm's "set". It felt like a real concert! Plus the DJ (Mike) seemed to always play the perfect song at the perfect time. They also hooked us up with some special talent that gave us a delightfully weird, completely unique ending to the wedding that no one will ever forget. BIG shout out to Danielle DeSantis, who was there with us, helping out at every step of the way -- great communicator!

Synergy and On The Move were superb for our wedding day. We would highly recommend them for any event. An hour before our wedding the need for a third setup arose, which was handled with ease and grace. Gabe and Darren handled the planning process smoothly and easily requiring us to do little no oversight. The music was fantastic and had a great mix of songs keeping our parents' friends, our friends, and family on the dance floor throughout the night. This is the second event Synergy and On The Move performed for us, and we would be sure to use them for a third.

Hiring the new millennials was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! Darren and Gabe and the whole team were so professional leading up to our wedding and we felt so confident that everything would be exceptional. The band definitely lived up to all our expectations and more. We heard so many compliments from everyone who attended that the band was absolutely incredible and the best wedding band they've ever heard. This was such a crucial decision to make as the band can definitely make the party and the new millenials went above and beyond. We would highly recommend them to all of our friends! I am an event planner who hired On the Move's Jazz group for a client's surprise marriage proposal. The entire booking process was easy and smooth - a huge thanks to Darren and Scott for their help! The musicians were timely, quick to setup, and very helpful in coordinating timing and requests. They played through the proposal and into the following reception to rave reviews from all guests! I would highly recommend them! They are the perfect additional to any event - especially a wedding cocktail hour! I look forward to working with them again in the future!

Troy Curtis is hands down the BEST in the business!! I was a hard to please bride and Troy went above and beyond from start to finish. He met with us multiple times before the wedding to understand our vision and then executed flawlessly. This guy seriously does it all- sings, dances, and gets the crowd pumped up at just the right times! I could not have asked for anything more on my special day. Major shout out to Troy's sax player, Hailey, she was sensational! She interacted with guests all night long and everyone loved her. DJ Loyal and the rest of the band Troy teams up with will literally make you cry once the party is over as you wish you could repeat the day over and over. That saxophone player! HOOOOLLLYYYY **********!!!!!!! ><!! Make sure she is at your wedding as well!!!! She is ridiculously UNBELIEVABLE and out of almost 150 guests, all of them complimented my wife and me on her performance! Every single detail is meticulously taken care of to get the best out of a great party. They know exactly how to read the people to keep everything running at the highest level! I won’t stress it enough, these guys are the ultimate entertainment company and you won’t be disappointed!!! If you have the opportunity to extend your party with them, do not take a second to hesitate, don’t think twice and just let Troy take care of the rest. On The Move, in particular the group 'Synergy', is beyond incredible. We were lucky enough to have them perform at our wedding and we felt truly blessed to have them for our big day. Every single performance... from the violins at the ceremony, to the saxophone at the cocktail to the full band during the reception and the DJ at the after party.... was so far beyond what we imagined that we are still, and always will be, so happy we found them. When I started researching bands for my sister's wedding, On The Move and The New Millennials led by Troy Curtis, came highly recommended by my most trusted confidant who happens to be a celebrity wedding planner. On The Move not only delivered what was promised, but they went so far above and beyond my highest expectations (and I am a tough critic). I knew based on my personal experience on the night of the wedding that On The Move did an amazing job. My opinion was cemented when no less than 10 separate guests called me in the week following the wedding to tell me it was the best band they've ever witnessed, and of course to ask for contact information. There are plenty of bands who have great voices and are stellar performers. What separates On The Move - and Troy Curtis in particular - from those bands, is Troy's ability to connect with his audience and make adjustments accordingly. Planning a wedding can be extremely stressful. If you have the opportunity to eliminate the anxiety and concern from a key element such as the band, that is a luxury worth any amount of money. On The Move will do exactly that, and so much more.

These guys were great. Super easy to work with and really on top of the details. The band we chose was Winston's Crew Collective and by the end of the night, the term "band envy" was being thrown around. Dannis and the band could not have been better and totally made the night.

We got married this past July. We had 400 guests, and they managed the crowd beautifully. I have been to many large weddings where the sound system isn't set up properly and people further out are unable to hear the ceremony or speeches. They went above and beyond to make sure the sound system was set up properly. They were also able to keep the energy level up the entire night! No one wanted to leave the dance floor. The DJ/ band combination is such a great idea. You are able to do so much more while still getting a band experience.
