My husband bought my engagement ring, wedding ring, and his wedding band all at Richter & Phillips in downtown Cincinnati, and we could not be happier. My husband worked with one person throughout the whole process of making my custom engagement ring, and they put so much care and attention into making it perfect for him. When he and I went to look at wedding bands, they made it fun for us - offered champagne and we never once felt pressured. I am indecisive and came back 3 different times to decide on my wedding band (once with my husband, once with my mom, and once with my best friend, haha) and they were so sweet and patient with me. They even gave us a substantial discount on our wedding bands since my husband bought my engagement ring there. We can take our bands in at any time and get them cleaned, checked, resized, etc. for free. If a diamond were to fall out on my wedding band, they will replace it, also for free. I've gone in several times to get my bands cleaned, and they are always welcoming and friendly. Richter & Phillips is a wonderful company, and will give you the quality and care that you deserve when buying such important pieces of jewelry!

Our family has been shopping at Richter & Phillips for years, and now we understand why! My engagement ring and both of our wedding bands came from R&P and they've been such a pleasure to work with. They've been very accommodating to sizing requests, timelines and helping to make our rings look perfect. They shined and polished my engagement ring and my mom's antique ring the week of the wedding. Handing over all of your wedding jewelry normally be nerve-wracking! But they were timely and wonderful as usual.

My husband and I worked with Bill at Richter and Phillips to design a custom engagement ring. We first picked out a pear-shaped diamond from several that they had mailed in from around the country. Then, I showed Bill a picture of a pear-shaped opal and gold ring I loved on Pinterest, and he had their custom shop make a wax mold of the exact design, with white gold and diamonds, for our approval. My then-fiance picked up the finished ring and surprised me with a proposal! If you're picky about how you want your ring to look but still want to be surprised, I highly recommend going this route. We also purchased our wedding bands from R&P, which was easy and painless. Also, tip to brides, if you bought your ring at R&P, you can get a complimentary replating/rhodium finishing every year! I went a few days before our wedding and my ring was shiny, sparkly perfection for all the detail shots.

We worked with Mary Jo, who was excellent. Very patient and never made us feel rushed. The quality and selection was great, and we ended up finding our wedding bands here as well. We had some minor issues like the manufacturer sending the wrong size of one of the wedding bands, but Mary Jo was fantastic about calling for us and making sure everything came in on time.

My fiance got my beautiful engagement ring at Richter and Phillips and had a nice experience with them. However, within the first eight months of having the ring I had lost three pave diamonds. I am not rough on the ring so was very frustrated by this. They finally had the send the ring back because it was a design flaw. I know this is more of a manufacturer issue than Richter and Phillip's issue but still was very disappointed by the quality - especially considering this was the biggest purchase my fiance had made in his life! Not sure I would go back again.

The selection is great, and the people are great to work with. I love mine and my husbands bands- mine match each other perfectly! Cannot say enough great things about this locally owned business in the heart of Downtown Cincinnati. Highly recommend!

Everyone who works at this location is awesome. Every time I went in, we were welcomed and NEVER pressured. My husband felt so comfortable going in to ask about rings, that after shopping around, he went BACK to Richter because this was the only place that did not put pressure on him to "buy today". He was well educated and was even able to look at the diamonds under a microscope. They are expensive, but they offer the best. Don't go there if you want to get an average ring. We got the engagement rings and wedding bands here and I could not be happier. I get complimented ALL the time on my rings and they SPARKLE. Love love love!

We purchased my engagement ring setting and both wedding bands from Richter and Phillips. I like the fact that they have been around for a long time the city. I think that is important for major purchases like these. You know they will be around to stand behind their product. Parking is convenient and the staff is friendly. Like most jewelers, they prefer you to work with YOUR sales person, which isn't always convenient. The hours through the week are not very convenient, but they do offer limited Saturday hours. Overall, I am very satisfied with my experience and the rings... happy that we chose R&P.

I first encountered Richter & Phillips when I needed my engagement ring to be repaired and resized. It is an old ring and the band had broken, and the band was too big to begin with, so we had them essentially make a new one. I chose Richter & Phillips because they are a local business and, though more expensive, seemed reputable. When they repaired my engagement ring, they forgot to resize it, which meant I had to make another trip downtown days later, which was annoying because they don't have great hours and I had to go antoher week without my engagement ring (which happened to be the week I was visiting family out of state for the first time since our engagement, so I was sad that I couldn't show them my ring). When I did get my engagement ring back, it looked great, so we decided to have my wedding band custom made by them as well, even though it was going to cost twice what it would at other mall-variety jewelers. This began a long and difficult process that ended with a wrong wedding band. Our salesperson was difficult to track down and never called when he said he would, and then when I went to pick up my ring finally, it was made wrong. I don't know where the miscommuncation came in or whether it was the fault of the salesman or the jeweler, but somehow they messed up what was supposed to be a plain, round yellow-gold band to match that of my engagement ring (they added a flat side instead of making it round all the way around). They are going to fix it, I assume free of charge, but I haven't had time to take it in yet so I can't comment on the final product. All I know is that it seemed to me like it should have been fairly simple, but it was messed up and now I have to take time to go back to them so they can fix it.

Got both wedding bands for our wedding. They were able to order a sample of a ring I found online so I could see it in person before purchasing. They also had several different kinds of bridal bands in house. They offer free engraving and go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied. My groom's ring was too big and they worked with him to get it just right. It is a great jeweler that has earned my business for future purchases! When I bought my band they had a 10% discount going on and I'm sure they'll work with you on the price!

The staff at Richter & Phillip's truly made our experience amazing. They were all very helpful and knowledgable of anything and everything we were interested in for our wedding rings. It was really memorable to meet with and have the designers of our rings assist us in picking them out. I continue to get comments about how beautiful my ring is. I would recommend Richter & Phillips to anyone and everyone.

I really enjoyed working with Bill at the store. I went in with a description of what I would like my wedding band to looks like, and he brought me over about 5 options. I loved them all. Finally decided on one, and it was perfect!

When we first went to Richter and Phillips we were a little nervous about pricing and how much it would cost to get me the ring of my dreams. We worked with Rick though and he was awesome. We found a setting we loved and told him our budget. He worked with us to find the perfect diamond, in our budget, that looked beautiful in the setting we had chosen. When it came time for the wedding bands, they were just as great. We were able to pick wedding bands we love at an amazing price as well.

We got the groom's wedding band here. They were professional and easy to work with. They showed us options in many price ranges and didn't pressure us to buy anything, worked within our budget. Though I didn't get my engagement ring here (we already got it somewhere else), I definitely would have considered it--they had a decent selection of antique settings and estate pieces, which is what I wanted. Also like that they are a local business and not a chain.

I was truley impressed with the amount of time and knowledge regarding diamonds that was shared with me. I honestly felt like family each and everytime that I visited the store.

I gave my husband the task of using a family ring to base my engagement ring on. He worked with Richter & Phillips to design the perfect combination of Art Deco and modern. Excellent service, quality and guidance overall!
