Unfortunately, our experience with Sarah as our wedding photographer was not a positive one.
It took five months for us to receive our photos from our wedding. When we finally did get them back, we realized there were many moments missing. ...The vast majority of our guests were not in any of the pictures, including overseas guests. There are no guest photos from the time the ceremony ended until after dinner (about a 2.5-hour span). Additionally, the whole venue itself was not photographed, and the entire cocktail hour was not photographed. Specifically requested photos (which Sarah asked for) were not taken, and many other typical wedding pictures were not taken at all.
I tried talking with Sarah about the gross negligence of her work and I was met with a long list of excuses. She also quoted her contract stating that SWP does not guarantee ANY image be taken at all! Eventually an offer of $100 was made to settle the situation. However, before she would send any “refund or retribution”, she required we sign a non-disclosure agreement. The agreement stated that neither we, nor our friends or family, could ever talk publicly or privately of our experience with Sarah Woolf Photography. Breech of this contract would result in a $100,000 fine for each occurrence- all for $100 for her mistakes and oversights!
I hired Sarah because of the positive reviews I read online. Perhaps there would be more negative reviews if not for non-disclosure agreements? We chose not to sign such a ridiculous agreement in order to be able write an honest review of our experience- as you only get one shot of having these photos to last a lifetime. Sadly, we will never have those pictures.
If you want professional photos to document your special day, including details and guests, choose a different photographer. Your wedding day is such a blur, and it would be nice to look back and remember all that happened through pictures. I would ABSOLUTELY NOT recommend Sarah Woolf Photography for any reason, but especially not for a day as important as your wedding day.
