The Big Room is conveniently located in a vibrant area of downtown Des Moines, close to many hotels, restaurants and attractions. The space is 4650 square feet featuring 12 foot high ceilings and an expansive, light-filled industrial environment with additional atrium and meeting room options. Depending on your seating style, the room accommodates 250-300 guests. The beauty of this space is that it can be transformed to reflect your unique style. Included in the rental for your wedding is a private room for the use of the bridal party and all tables and chairs. The space is yours from 9:00 am on the day of your wedding until midnight. The room is available for both ceremony and reception. Arrangements can be made for rehearsal and post-wedding events. The Tangerine Food Company is the exclusive provider of food and beverage. We are a part of Mainframe Studios, a nonprofit organization providing permanent, affordable workspaces for artists of all disciplines, working to make Central Iowa’s art scene on the best in the nation. Many of the artists in the building offer photographic services, invitation and printing services, DJ services and jewelry fabrication.
