The Knot Contributor
  • Danielle writes articles for The Knot Worldwide, with a focus on modern wedding trends, fete aesthetics and personalization (via fashion, accessories and stationery).
  • As a freelance writer and publicist, Danielle regularly contributes to outlets like Brides, Style Me Pretty, Wedding Chicks and Betches and proudly represents a number of clients (bridal and jewelry designers, venues and wedding planning pros) in the ‘I do’ industry.
  • Danielle holds a dual B.A. in Psychology and Media & Communication from Muhlenberg College.

Danielle is a contributing writer for The Knot Worldwide, where she pens e-commerce content focused on stationery, gifts, fashion and nuptials keepsakes. She has been immersed in the world of weddings for nearly 10 years, providing planning and trend expertise for top wedding blogs including Style Me Pretty and Wedding Chicks, writing for leading women’s interest websites like Betches, PureWow and SheKnows and garnering millions of press impressions for brands in the wedding space: fashion, beauty, event curators and wedding talent and tastemakers, alike.

Danielle lives in Northern New Jersey with her husband and two children. When she’s not hunting for the next new wedding trend (falling down wedding hashtag black holes and emerging hours later...) or rounding up the best products for parents to keep their littles healthy, happy and having fun, Danielle loves power walking at local parks, sipping craft cocktails and DJ-ing Pandora dance parties for her family. As long as Disney keeps turning out break-danceable bangers from movies like Moana and Frozen, The Halibeys are good.

Experience

Danielle went to prom with her high school sweetheart (turned eventual husband) in an ivory Jessica McClintock ball gown — who knew that that June 2006 night would foretell a future full of pretty white dresses and lots of love?

Truth be told, Danielle started out on a pre-med and musical theater track at Muhlenberg College, but after taking intro to psych and communications 101 classes in spring semester freshman year, she confidently switched gears from biochem to media psych, developing a whole new love for writing and wordsmithing in the process.

Following her graduation, Danielle worked for a number of award-winning PR agencies and took the reputation as “Most Likely to Have Her Pitch Opened/Read By the Media” everywhere she went. While planning her own wedding, she ran point on the David’s Bridal account at its then Agency of Record, and loved every minute of it. And when an opportunity came along to head up PR and community at the millennial-focused wedding planning site, Loverly, she left agency life for good.

Since becoming a mom, she’s embraced the full-time freelance life and become a true expert in all things weddings and parenting.

Education

Danielle graduated Magna Cum Laude, with honors in the field of Media & Communication, from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. While there, she wrote a paper about the pop culture phenomenon of modern weddings. It was that singular assignment that motivated her professor to say ‘’you might want to pursue this professionally, Danielle.’’ And the rest, as they say, is history.
