Hillary is a contributing writer for The Knot Worldwide. She has 10 years of experience writing for wedding and bridal publications, covering everything from venues and etiquette to reception and ceremony ideas. Based in New York City, Hillary can often be found in a yoga or pilates class, trying out a new restaurant, or reading in the park.
Experience
Hillary got her start in the wedding industry interning for celebrity wedding and event planner Colin Cowie, writing articles and image captions for his new editorial website. She spent the past decade working as a business journalist by day and moonlighting as a weddings writer by night. She’s written for WeddingWire, Brides and Bridal Guide, often with a focus on wedding decor, style and fashion. She has also e-commerce experience hunting down the best anniversary and wedding gifts, paper goods and bridal dresses on the web.
She’s now freelancing full-time covering weddings (of course), health and wellness, and work and money. Her work has appeared on outlets like Business Insider, Fortune and Fast Company; brands like Peloton; and syndicated on Yahoo Finance, HuffPost, Glamour and Travel + Leisure, to name a few.
Education
Hillary is a graduate of the University of Florida, where she studied public relations, English and psychology. She held several communications and journalism internships in college.
