Lauren is a freelance contributor for The Knot Worldwide, where she writes content for The Knot on everything ranging from her experience planning (and postponing) a wedding during COVID-19 to the latest trends. She has written about all things weddings since before graduating from college and moving to New York City. Lauren is passionate about wedding photography and the unique details couples incorporate to make a common event distinctly their own.
A Maryland native, Lauren currently splits her time between New York City and the suburbs of Washington, DC with her fiance. When not scrolling through Zillow obsessing over the latest house listings and interior design trends, Lauren is training for her next marathon, binging true crime documentaries, or planning her latest travel adventure.
Experience
From the time she was a small child, Lauren was passionate about all things weddings and aspired to work for a wedding magazine after hours spent flipping through pages at the grocery store. Lauren went on to major in Magazine Journalism with a focus in graphic design and spent two years interning for The Knot's art and photography departments.
Upon graduation, Lauren returned to The Knot as a Real Weddings editorial assistant working on local print magazines, The Knot national magazine, and TheKnot.com. From there she went to PopSugar covering trending news, parenting, travel, and weddings. Two years later, Lauren became a deputy editor for CafeMom and Mom.com where she oversees viral parenting and lifestyle news. Lauren also contributes to various outlets including NBC News, WeddingWire Brides, and Bridal Guide.
Education
Lauren graduated from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University with a B.S. in Magazine Journalism and minors in Psychology and Spanish.
