Parker Butler is a public relations professional based in Charleston, South Carolina. Parker’s work history includes editorial, broadcast, and public relations positions. She interned with The Knot during the summer of 2017 through the American Society of Magazine Editors’ Magazine Internship Program. Parker currently works for Lou Hammond Group, a public relations agency offering branding, digital, creative, and strategic services.
Experience
While attending Washington and Lee University, Parker worked as an Intern and Freelance Writer for Mobile Bay Monthly. She was then selected to partake in the summer 2017 ASME Magazine Internship Program. Parker was placed with The Knot and contributed general wedding and bridal beauty content to the brand’s website. Parker was hired as a Producer for Virginia broadcast, The Rockbridge Report, and was later promoted to News Anchor. Parker was then selected as an Editorial Intern for Garden & Gun’s six-month internship program. Following this internship, Parker joined Lou Hammond Group as an Account Coordinator. After a year, she was promoted to her current position of Account Executive.

Parker received her Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia.
