And just like that, we have a new Bachelorette. Hot off the emotional finale of the 28th season of The Bachelor, where Joey Graziadei got engaged to Kelsey Anderson, Bach Nation didn't have to wait long to find out who will follow as the next lead of The Bachelorette. During the live After the Final Rose special, host Jesse Palmer confirmed that Jenn Tran will be The Bachelorette in 2024.

The 26-year-old PA school student was a contestant on Graziadei's season of The Bachelor. The new Bachelorette is Jenn Tran. The 26-year-old will make history as the first Asian-American woman to lead the ABC dating franchise later this year. While many members of Bach Nation predicted the next Bachelorette would be runner-up Daisy Kent or Maria Georgas, Charity Lawson announced the news during the live After the Final Rose special on March 25.

"I can say that our next bachelorette is someone who is intelligent. She's witty, she's fun, and she's super kind. And personally, I want to see a lot more of her and I can only hope that out of this experience that she's getting ready to embark on that she really does find true love," Lawson said before welcome Tran onto the stage.

While the new lead admitted that she was feeling "overwhelmed," she confirmed that she's ready to leave the show with "a ring on my finger."

"I hope I find my person, someone that I truly feel like is 100%—my perfect match and someone who I'm compatible with," she said to Jesse Palmer.

So, who is the new Bachelorette? Here are five fast facts to know about Jenn Tran.

She Lives in Miami

According to her ABC bio, Jenn Tran is currently based in Miami, Florida, but her studies have taken her all over the country. Per her LinkedIn page, Tran obtained a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2020. Before that, she studied at the University of Pittsburgh for two years.

She's Studying to be a Physician Assistant

Jenn Tran is currently studying to be a Physician Assistant. In an Instagram Reel shared in February, Tran opened up about why she put her career on pause to go on The Bachelor, citing Joey as her reason for pursuing love. After emailing her academic advisor about the opportunity, Tran said she got "so lucky" that they were supportive of her decision. They determined that Tran could put her rotations on hold during filming, and that she'll still get to walk at her graduation ceremony with the rest of her classmates.

She's Vietnamese

Jenn Tran is bilingual, and in her ABC bio for The Bachelor, she said that she was "excited to talk to Joey about her family's Vietnamese background." Tran opened up about her heritage on the show, but since she was eliminated right before Hometowns, Graziadei never got to meet her family and learn about their culture in real life.

She Loves to Travel

Tran also loves to travel…when she has time, that is! In between her studies, the student often shares Instagram posts documenting her adventures around the world.

She Made a Strong First Impression on The Bachelor

Jenn Tran had one of the most memorable entrances on Joey's season of The Bachelor. Instead of stepping out of a limo (as is tradition for most contestants), she opted to ride in on a go-kart. "I'd race to the end of Rainbow Road for you," she wrote on Instagram.

When Does Jenn Tran's Bachelorette Season Air?

Jenn Tran's season of The Bachelorette will premiere on July 8, 2024, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. Episodes will be available to stream on Hulu the next day.
