Walked in hoping to get great service. I had a dress that had to be reshipped, and had only 4 days to get altered.
Didn’t even think about, just simply said no, no time for that.
Not impressed. Sadie’s alterations on 4th st. Is sooo much better...
. Sadie’s is the best.💞🌺💜

I took my wedding dress here after a friend recommended them. My dress was ready on time and done correctly the first time. I know friends who have taken dresses elsewhere and gotten their alterations cheaper but there always seem to be complic...
ations- not done right or not done on time. Final Stitch was great, more expensive but no complications.

One of my sorority sisters had recommended Masood at A Final Stitch for my wedding dress alteration after having a bridesmaid dress done by him a few months earlier. She said he did a very good job, but to give it plenty of time because it too...
k awhile for her to get her dress back. My mom and I dropped our dresses off the first part of July even though my wedding was not until the end of September, but when I dropped my dress off I was thinking of having bridal photos taken at the end of August. I asked Masood if my wedding dress could be done by the end of August for the bridal photos and he said it should be no problem. I only needed to dress taken in a little, hemmed slightly, and a couple of eyehooks added. The dress needed minimal alterations since I had just ordered it a few months earlier. He assured me the dress would be ready by the end of August because two months would be plenty of time. My mom's dress on the other hand was going to need fairly extensive alterations because she bought a dress that was much too big for her, so it basically needed to be completely ripped apart and rebuilt. We knew this dress would take a little longer, but he told us it would be ready the first part of September at the latest. Towards the end of August I went to pick up my dress for the bridal photos and Masood said the dress was not complete. I told him the dress was supposed to be ready for my bridal photos and that was what we agreed on. He said that he remembered my dress needing to be done in September. I reminded him that was my mom's dress, but mine was supposed to be ready at the end of August. The dress was not ready though, and there was nothing I could do about that, but that was not the end of the ordeal. For the next several weeks my mom and I would make at least two trips a week to see Masood for fittings and to pick up our dresses that were supposed to be done. Every weekend for about a month he would tell us our dresses would be ready on a certain date by a certain time, but each time we arrived to pick them up they were still not complete and he said he needed more time. It almost became an ongoing joke between my mom and me about whether or not our dresses would actually be done when we went to pick them up. The other thing that bothered me was as time went on Masood became increasingly difficult and unpleasant to work with, and acted as if we were bothering him every time we came to pick our dresses up even though he said they would be ready and they were already a month past due. I believe the dresses were finally ready the week of my wedding; a month later than my estimated date and a couple of weeks later than my mom's estimated date. I could not believe it took almost three months to alter two dresses. When they were ready to be picked up the work was done very well, they fit well and I was happy with the final product, but I was irritated at the amount of time it took, the fact that I was not able to have my bridal photos done and the fact that we were making weekly trips to pick up our "finished" dresses that were not ready to be picked up. So, I would have to give the same advice as my friend did. The work is done very well, but it takes a very long time to get done, so be prepared!
