It is with great pleasure that I write this review for Mark of House of Genesis Studios. We were introduced to Mark by a friend, after going back and forth for months on whether or not to hire a videographer for our wedding. My wife and I had... hired a photographer and opted out of using his videographer, so naturally we were concerned about brining on somone that did not know how to work with our photographer. We have been to plenty of weddings where the photographers / videographers were constantly obstructing each other and caused disruptions during the ceremony, which is exactly what we wanted to avoid.
From our first meeting with Mark, we knew we had found the right videographer! Mark was very attentive to my wife's vision, asked great questions, took down notes on every detail and made us (my wife especially) feel confident that he was on the same page with us. He walked us through what he would do and what we could expect.
On the day of our wedding, Mark had arrived prior to any guests and was able to capture the beauty of the church, the set up, the guests as they arrived and most importantly, the ceremony in it's entirety, hidden in plain site. Although I am very camera shy, I never felt that I had a camera in my face. Mark has an innate ability to make people feel comfortable. He seamlessly maneuvered around the church unnoticed by our guests and skillfully captured the essence and serenity of our moment. His interactions with the photographer were orchestrated to perfection and neither missed a single moment.
We were so impressed with Mark's attention to detail and love our video. The music and the editing were spot on! Mark set the expectation that we would have the video in a few weeks, so getting the video in the mail a few days after we came back from our honeymoon was another big surprise! Kudos for that!!!
Thank you for making our day extra special.
