he tasting at Michael’s restaurant in Waterville, NY. The food was incredible and the other options we’d been considering no longer mattered. The quality of the food was not the only reason we went with Michael’s. The logistical tasks of renting everything needed to serve our guests dinner, bringing it to the venue, and cleaning it up afterwards was handled for us. All we had to do was pick the colors for the linens! On the day of our wedding, we had Bridget as our coordinator and she ensured everything was running smoothly, checking in with us and she even brought us a plate of our hors d'oeuvres we hadn’t gotten to taste yet. The only issue we had with Michael's was overall communication leading up to the wedding day. There were times when we wouldn’t hear from the coordinator, Stephanie, for weeks after sending email communications. We recognize that their business is very busy during wedding season, but didn’t feel like we were made a priority until the last few weeks leading up to our wedding and it left us feeling rushed and stressed when we made every effort to be proactive. Luckily, everything turned out great despite these hiccups and the sometimes-confusing communication.

The menu was delicious and versatile, the staff went above and beyond to make the day perfect and make sure we had hot food on our table when we did finally decide to sit down and eat, and our guests continue to report back that the food was some of the best they have ever had at a wedding! Also they are a business that truly cares, and immediately reached out after the wedding to ensure that they followed through on all they promised. I HIGHLY recommend them for any and all of your catering needs!

We chose to do a plated meal service for 140 guests, and all the food came out hot and was SO good. The staff was friendly, efficient, and accommodated those who needed some extra love :) The bar service was superb, too. HIGHLY recommend choosing Michael’s for your catering service!

They did a great job helping us set up the cultural foods we brought in outside of them, and we got so many compliments that our dinner was some of the best wedding food our guests have ever had. We also used their bar services and there was never a line. They truly made our day so special and we couldn't be more thankful.

They are the official catering partner of Hayloft on the Arch and I highly recommend hiring them for that reason. as expected and provided for us on our day. She was so organized and professional throughout all of our interactions with her. On our day the for was AMAZING we had asked for a southern style menu opting for a buffet style with chicken, ribeye, catfish, mac and cheese, greens, etc. We received compliments for all of our guests all night about how amazing the food was. We also had several passed appetizers during our cocktail hour which sadly we missed because we were taking photos however as soon as we sat down after our first dance someone brough over plate filled with all the appetizers we had missed. This was such a small thing but on such a busy day it was so thoughtful of them to save us a bunch and we were SO excited to have some food coming our way. Micheals also supplied our bar services for our wedding and again everyone was so professional and wonderful to work with. I would hire Micheals again.

The staff was so friendly at our wedding and really made us feel so supported and cared for. Michael is so talented and he truly is an incredible chef and event caterer. We would use him again in a heart beat. We strongly recommend Michael’s, you will not regret it!!! The BEST!!!

urn to Michaels each year for our anniversary dinner. We felt like they were worth the investment. Unfortunately, things did not really pan out the way we were hoping on our wedding day. Our food was nothing like it was at our tasting, menu items were incorrect. It was really quite frustrating. Some of our guests commented on our food choices, food was cold at the tables (we only had 100 guests for a plate service), which was really just embarrassing. They were very receptive to our feedback. That was really the only redeeming part of this experience. I would still recommend them, especially for a wedding at Hayloft. We definitely will not be returning for our anniversary dinners. However, I think our experience was an outlier based on previous reviews, but we were pretty disappointed.

tunate enough to have Michael's perform our catering for our reception, the beverage/bar and the brunch the following day! They also helped to facilitate drinks and supplies for our after party! The catering staff and bartenders were also so incredible - our guests were in awe of their kindness and hospitality! We feel so fortunate to have had this fabulous group as such a big part of our wedding celebration. We truly could not recommend Michael's enough! Thank you so much!

However, Michael came through on all fronts. Communication was a bit slow at times in the months leading up to the wedding, but this improved the closer to the day we got. Our in-person meetings and tasting made us feel extremely at ease. Not only was the food and execution extremely well done, but Michael and his staff took care of so many other things for us. Since we had a backyard wedding, it was so helpful to have Michael's team take over coordinating all of the rentals, the set-up, and the general layout of the event. The day-of, they also set up all of the decor, centerpieces, etc. This was key without a coordinator/planner. Michael was very accommodating to requests and changes and worked with us to make sure that we stayed within a budget that we were comfortable with. We received many rave reviews from our guests about the food, drinks, and service. Highly recommend!
