Planning an event can be stressful but Alan immediately made me feel relaxed. Alan helped me with every detail of my daughter's shower! His staff was amazing. They were friendly and wonderful during the entire event. And the food....WOW!!! Not only did the displays looks beautiful, everything was delicious! Thank you Alan for a wonderful experience!!!

Went to a wedding over the weekend and was very disappointed at the food for the sit down dinner. No one came around to see what we wanted for out choices. When the food finally came out super late it was cold and inedible. I couldn't eat the steak and some of the vegetables were hard. We finally got dessert and it was passed around dessert but they tasted like it was a couple day old food. I would not hire them for my wedding. I felt bad for the bride and groom.

Ultimate Caterer handled our wedding in Jan 2023. The team was EXCELLENT! Preparation and planning was made simple by Alan and his team. We had some "customization" to do, required some Kosher meals, no cake, but wanted more of tis or that, etc... They were extremely accommodating to all of the needs and worked with us very well. Also, they were transparent and gave recommendations based on their vast experience... As it turns out, the "watch outs" they recommended changes on were clear as day and they were right to inform us! As far as the "day of" was concerned, everything was easy and turnkey. We were well taken care of by the team as Bride & Groom. All of the guests raved about the food many saying it was the best they had eaten at a wedding. Would 1,000% recommend these folks! Neven ending cocktail hour for the win!

Alan was so incredible to work with!! His food was wonderful and he felt like a wedding guest by the end of the night! Our venue, White Eagle Hall, doesn't even have a kitchen and Alan and his amazing team were able to bring in their own and work with such a unique space to make sure we had constant amazing food! Alan was able to accommodate and mix match different menu options that really made the night feel special!! We had so many questions and asks for Alan and he was super patient and made sure we were happy with everything! Alan and his staff made sure we had drinks and food the entire night so we never had to worry about it!! Thank you Alan his awesome staff for the best night!!!

We hired Ultimate Caterer for our wedding and could not be more pleased with the service. Alan and his team were incredibly wonderful. The food was amazing, especially our CREPE STATION which was a huge hit. Alan was also very caring and checked in on us through our our event and made sure my partner and I were well-fed. Highly recommend!

Let me start by saying how amazing Alan and his team were. They made my day easy and stress-free. The food was so delicious and everyone loved it!

Ultimate Caterer did an amazing job with our cocktail hour. Everything was presented beautifully and our guests were incredibly happy with the food. We have a reception of about 150 people and chose to have a sit down dinner. Unfortunately, the dinner service was not as anticipated and really let us down compared to the experience we had during our tasting. The presentation was nowhere near what we were shown previously, there was a mismatch of side dishes, and the vegan options we had discussed for several guests were never served. Certain items for our contract were not served and the bar service was also a let down. In hindsight, I think Ultimate Caterer may have been a better choice for stations or endless cocktail hour as opposed to a sit down dinner. It seemed as though this was not the staff’s speciality.

Alan and his team truly amazing. From the moment we signed on with Ultimate Caterer to execution of my 50th glam Masquerade all white birthday bash they were amazing. The food and presentation was beautiful . All my guests (111) commented on how the food was top notch and the service to match. They are well worth it and I highly recommend! They were able to execute on my vision. I did the never ending apps and three stations and wow!

Overall I was very happy with Alan and Ultimate Caterer. I booked Alan almost a year in advance and very glad that I did. This gave me ample enough time to plan my outdoor elegant garden reception. Alan came to my outdoor venue months in advance to estimate where the tent, tables, dance floor etc would be. So easy to imagine with Alan describing and even drawing a floor plan. The day of the wedding, being the nervous bride that I was , I barely ate, but! not because maître d’ Lee didn’t put full plates in-front of my husband and I but because I wanted to engage my guest, dance and party! So, because I stupidly barely ate I can only say what my guest told me and they loved the Mac and cheese and dinner was great. Plenty of food and great reviews. As far as the staff they did congratulate me and my husband always filled water glasses and did hand the appetizers around which was great , I was not too happy when I saw them eating my food and desserts while my guest where still waiting to be fed but Lee did keep everyone in check was very organized and very attentive to everything especially my husband and I, I could not have asked for a more beautiful day!!!

We had our wedding at the Art Factory. Amazing experience from booking to the day of with Ultimate. Alan was always available and made planning so stress-free and wonderful. He was very accommodating with changes that had to be made last minute. Food was great! I highly recommend the pecan encrusted salmon, our guests loved it! Bar service was excellent as well. They made our party perfect!

We were extremely satisfied with the service of Ultimate Caterers for our wedding at the Art Factory in Paterson, NJ. Alan was easy to work and communicate with. He custom-tailored our menu to fit our vision of Asian cuisine, served in stations. Our guests raved about the food for both cocktail hour and reception. Lee, our maitre’d, was wonderful on the day of the wedding and always kept us fed. We would highly recommend Ultimate Caterers, especially for those getting married at Art Factory.

Ultimate Caterer catered my daughter's September 2021 wedding in Glen Ridge NJ for 118 people. Except for one obviously experienced waitress, the rest of the staff appeared to have never staffed an event before. They were completely disorganized. We had 2 signature drinks for the cocktail hour and that is all they had to serve- nothing else. They were supposed to prepare the 2 drinks prior to the cocktail hour – but nothing was prepared and although they were 2 common drinks and I had also given them the recipe – just in case – they prepared them incorrectly as our guests waited on a long line for a drink. The bartender provided did not know how to make drinks and he left immediately after the cocktail hour & for the reception there was a young woman bartending and she did not even look old enough to drink and was overwhelmed. The maitre’ d ran around but accomplished nothing and obviously had no experience managing a staff. He kept telling me we were running out of wine & spirits - which was completely untrue as everything was stocked and there were boxes of backup bottles in the kitchen on the counter- which we told them prior to. We had to go into the kitchen and bring the extra bottles out ourselves. Our guests could not even get a glass of wine with their meals and when it was over we had 4 cases of wine left over. The staff was a disaster and had no idea of what was going on. The food came out late and was mediocre at best – some of the salmon was practically raw. It broke my heart.

A fantastic wedding caterer! Ultimate Caterer contributed to our beautiful day at the Art Factory with delicious dishes, professional service, and an incredibly straightforward planning process. Alan and his team were a delight to work with, and really helped elevate our cocktail hour and reception. Pros...Amazing food! Our guest raved about every dish…especially the mushroom risotto, carving station, and dim sum bar.....Alan was our point-of-contact during the planning process AND oversaw the Ultimate Caterer team during our reception. That level of continuity truly made a huge difference.....Attention to my wife and I, we were never without our drink of choice....Flexibility around rescheduling. We had to push our wedding due to COVID, and Ultimate Caterer made that process incredibly smooth.

Alan and Ultimate Caterer SAVED OUR WEDDING at Art Factory! If you are getting married at the Art Factory, use Alan. If you aren't getting married at Art Factory, but can bring in your own food to your venue, use Alan. His staff are incredible, especially the maitre d', Heather. The food was incredible; we've had multiple guests after the wedding share with us that is was the best wedding food they've had. Alan also prepared two meals for guests with severe Celiac disease- both meals were amazing and avoided cross-contamination (a tricky thing if you're familiar with Celiac). Thank you Alan!

As I sit down to write this review about the Ultimate Caterer I'm already smiling. That's exactly what they are -- The Ultimate Caterer. I'll start at the end of our story, when my friends and family were recapping the wedding and absolutely raving about Alan and the team, saying they've never felt more "taken care of" at a wedding, treated as the most esteemed guests, with the BEST food and service. Some of my friends from LA were asking for his card so they could personally vouch for him when people in the New York area asked for recommendations. What more could a bride want? Allow me to set the stage: my fiancé and I had just recovered from the stress and pain of having to reschedule our 2020 wedding and went back to the drawing board for our new date in 2021. We're testing out various restaurants in New York City because we erroneously thought that the food would be better than a traditional catering company (maybe that's true, but not with the Ultimate Caterer). We select a restaurant, get a menu and contract put together -- but I have this pit in my stomach. Something just wasn't right. The restaurant owner seemed in over his head, a little dramatic -- and as the bride, there's only room for one drama queen and it's GONNA BE ME.  I expressed my concerns to my wedding planner, WEEKS before the big day. She emailed Alan immediately, BECAUSE HE IS THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS. He answered her within minutes, at 10pm, and had a proposal for me the next morning. Lucky for us, someone had rescheduled on him five hours prior so he had one opening on our day. Bringing him onboard felt like I had exhaled for the first time in 100 years. Alan KNOWS what he's doing, so incredibly well, that it was like getting a BONUS WEDDING PLANNER -- that's not even a part of the contract!   We decided to get married at the Greenpoint Loft, a beautiful space -- but a raw space. You're on your own for every last detail and for people who are not in the industry -- it's a logistics nightmare. I'm unsure if Alan had ever done a wedding at this venue but it didn't matter -- he is a PRO. You could put him and his team anywhere, in a blank field in the middle of no where, and they would make it BEAUTIFUL, exceed your expectations. He instantly took about 80 percent of the details we were fretting over off our plate and just HANDLED IT ALL so we could RELAX. Who gets to relax when planning a wedding? PEOPLE WHO HIRE ALAN.  Alan took care of the tables, the lighting, the glassware, flatware, the bartenders who weren't even part of his staff, the father of the bride and ALL my wishes -- it was like he became part of our family for the day. He continued to check on my husband and me throughout the night to make sure we were happy and let me assure you -- WE WERE HAPPY EVERY TIME HE ASKED. Not a single detail fell by the wayside, which is saying a lot considering it's your wedding!! Beyond his air tight, seamless, AGILE wedding day navigation -- he also did everything he could to help us with the budget. And the food ended up tasting better than all the original restaurants we tried! My dream was to actually HAVE FUN at my wedding and to be present, and that would NOT have been possible if it weren't for Alan. I would bet all my money on him. My husband and I are already trying to come up with parties/vow renewal ideas just so we have an excuse to work with him again!! We love that the Ultimate Caterer will forever be a part of our story -- it was truly a blast!!!

The Ultimate Caterer stands true to their name! We had a very DIY venue, and I was freaking out about how to manage all the different vendors I would have to organize. Alan made me feel extremely confident, and he also delivered! The food was amazing, the staff was amazing, the whole event was amazing!! Bottom line, I will be using The Ultimate Caterer again, and highly recommend them to anyone!!

I cannot say enough AMAZING things about Heather and the staff @ Ultimate Caterer! My wife and I just got married 5/8/21 and the weather was terrible. It rained, it hailed, there was thunder and lightning and we were getting married outdoors. The staff set up, reset, reset and reset again to accommodate the guests and the weather. They transformed our yard into a picturesque farmhouse wedding! They held umbrellas for the bridal party and ensured they saved my wife's wedding dress as much as possible from the mud on the ground. IT WAS MORE THAN WE COULD HAVE DREAMED OF. The food was amazing, the guests raved about the cocktail hour, the dinner and the dessert! The attention to detail was exquisite! Definitely would recommend to ANYONE looking for a magical event!

We recently got married at The Art Factory. We used Ultimate Caterers for the food, WOW, highly recommended they crushed the food scene. Our guests can not stop raving about their experience. When they text you the next day on how good your food was you know you did something right. We did an endless cocktail hour all night. As the bride I made sure to sit an eat which I am so glad I did because it was everything I wanted and more! Every food choice we chose was better than the next, I can't even decide what was my favorite. Gallos Wine Cellar provided alcohol with custom bar set up, cocktails, ice, and selection with consignment was without a doubt the only way to go. All I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you for making this “covid bride” feel so special and turning our dream into a reality that again, exceeded all expectations beyond PERFECTION.

When we had to come up with a plan B for our daughter's wedding on 9/19 due to Covid Alan Perl was a God send especially since we only had a month and a half to plan a backyard wedding for 70! He was recommended by our wedding planner. I did not have time to interview other caterers or even taste his food. The food and service were excellent. We loved the baby lamb chop appetizer which he served in a vintage briefcase! Alan coordinated all of the tent, table, chair, porto potty rentals. His insight in how to layout the tents/tables to maximize the small space was priceless. Everyone raved about the food and service!

We were so lucky to have found Ultimate Caterers! Because of COVID-19, we made the decision to cancel with our original wedding venue and hold a more intimate ceremony/reception in our backyard, leaving us to have to search for a caterer a little less than two months out from our date. We came across Ultimate Caterers and after looking at their menu and services, we opted to hire them for our special day. Not only do they offer an extensive menu and bar package, but they also provided tent/table rentals complete with staffing for the day of. The whole team was very professional and so helpful throughout the whole process. And the food was DELICIOUS! From the appetizers to the buffet dinner and multitude of desserts, our guests are still talking about how good everything was! Alan and the team made sure my husband and I did not miss out on any of the food during cocktail hour while we were taking pictures, and later were there on the dance floor passing around an array of desserts to all of our guests. And when everything was over, the catering and rental teams cleaned up our yard so well that we couldn’t even tell there was a wedding! We would definitely recommend Ultimate Caterers for anyone planning an event!

We can’t say enough about Ultimate Caterers, they catered our wedding at the Art Factory March 15 , 2020 ! From the first call to Alan to the day of the wedding was a pleasure to work with them ! They helped us plan our menu and were always there for questions and suggestions!! All of our guests were raving about how amazing the food was and how nice everything was displayed!! We had UC cater our wedding at the Art Factory. They were very easy to work with, reasonably priced, provided great service and delicious food. We were extremely pleased and would hire them again! Our guests were very complimentary of the service and food.

Ultimate Caterer catered my wedding and they were simply phenomenal. The attention to detail and attentiveness to the guests was top-notch. A lot of mishaps happen at weddings, but with Ultimate Caterer you at least have the food COMPLETELY COVERED. My husband and I worked closely with Alan leading up to the wedding day to plan our menu. From the minute we had our first phone call with Alan to the end of our wedding, we had the best experience with Ultimate Caterers. They were extremely accommodating and creative and helped us plan a menu that would truly be memorable for our guests. To this day I still get rave reviews about the variety of stations at the cocktail hour, the quality of the steak at our dinner, and the fun after party foods like pretzels and chicken fingers! Alan was also able to create the cake of our dreams. Throughout the night he would come over to us and ask whether we needed a cocktail or whether we needed more food or anything else! He truly made the night seamless and he was an absolute pleasure to work with. Wish we could do it all over again!

I wish we could give 6 stars, honestly. Alan & team were an absolute dream to work with from beginning to end. If you are getting married at the Art Factory in Paterson, NJ - there's really no one else who can do it like Ultimate Caterers. Their station set-up, food design, and service all match PERFECTLY with the vibe of venue. To give an example, our cheese, cracker & crudite station were draped with giant wooden picture frames and beautiful flowers & greenery. The team worked with us to put together an endless list of hor d'oeuvres/tapas style bites that went around the entire night. Highlights were the Romanian Meatballs, Chicken Satay, Sesame Noodles, Peter Luger Sliders, & the sushi were all really great (didn't eat a ton, as we were too busy dancing)! Most important thing to note, is that we had to switch caterers less than 3 weeks before the event, due to some unforeseen circumstances. Alan & team picked things right up, improved on everything we already had planned, and executed it to perfection! What more could we possibly ask for? Nothing. Alan, this is Rich Anderson. Ten years ago tonight we had our wedding reception in Asbury Park at the Berkeley Hotel. Who knew Asbury would become what it is today. But to this day, we are constantly reminded of perhaps the best wedding any of our guests attended. Credit goes to you and your team at the time and you will always be an important person in our lives. Ten years later Peggy and I couldn't be happier, and you kicked it all off with a bang (complete with warm cookies and cold milk to close out the reception, and an after party that remains the gold standard of after parties!). Alan and his team surpassed our expectations for our wedding 11/1. Our venue dropped a bomb on us 2 weeks before our wedding saying that the in house caterer was no longer with them and gave the names of 3 different caterers they claimed would keep our price point. We called all of them, desperate for help. Alan & Ed put all of our worries at ease. The menu choices alone were enough to make us go with them but their accommodating attitudes sold us. Having them cater our wedding instead of the in house chef we did our original tasting with was a complete blessing in disguise and we couldn't thank them enough. Our guests are still raving about the food and we're half a world away on our honeymoon. Thank you to Alan and his team!

Six words for the Ultimate Caterer. DELICIOUS FOOD, BEAUTIFUL PRESENTATIONS, EXCELLENT SERVICE!!!! I had my daughter’s Bridal Shower at the James Ward Mansion and Alan catered it. He talked me into the Never Ending Cocktail Hour. I was very questionable about it, but I am so glad he did. It was a very different kind of a shower-one that was extremely welcomed. So many people came up to me and said it was the best shower that they had ever been to. Alan had walked me through the whole thing. He as well as his staff gave me pep talks when I needed them. The service was above and beyond. The staff were the nicest people ever! Alan, I can’t thank you enough for making my daughter’s shower one she won’t forget! If you have a chance to use Alan’s services as well as the James Ward Mansion, don’t hesitate in doing so.

We got married last weekend (8/3/19), and one of the best decisions we made was to work with Alan Perl and his team at Ultimate Caterer. From the moment we initially emailed him to inquire about his availability, he responded to us with lightning speed and uncommon enthusiasm. Alan invited us to a tasting at our wedding venue, which gave us a preview of eating his inventive food on our big day. We made last minute guest list changes, and Alan was exceedingly accommodating. At our wedding, I was amazed that every time I turned around, Alan was right there offering me something to eat or drink. He was attentive, omnipresent, and so excited for us. A true expert. Alan provided a variety of unique and delicious food (be sure to request his poke bowl station and beautiful, rich cupcake cake) to our friends and families who had been anticipating our wedding for over ten years. We felt completely taken care of from the minute we met him and can't wait for the occasion to work together again.

Ultimate Caterers and it’s staff were beyond all of our expectations. They really pushed our party to the next level! The amount of creativeness and thought put into every dish and plate was amazing. We did the endless cocktail party for my 40th Birthday and people couldn’t stop talking about how delicious the food was. The amount of food was perfect and no one left hungry! People are still talking about how good the food was! I highly recommend Alan Pearl and his staff. You will not be disappointed!

Alan Perl and the Ultimate Caterer staff did a phenomenal job for my son’s bar mitzvah. Working with Alan was so easy. He answered all of my phone calls and emails promptly- no request was too big or too small. He was extremely accommodating for guests with food allergies/sensitivities. The food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this company!

Alan must be a magician! He catered to the bride and groom with many plant based appetizers and 2 entrees to choose from as well! He made us delicious vegan desserts like the cupcake tower as well as his hand rolled cannolis!! He overheard that the bride needed glue for her false eyelashes and bobbipins for her hair so he sent one of his staff members out. He made the day so much more amazing!!

I hired these guys for our Corporate Event just a few days ago, and they were absolutely FANTASTIC. Their service was great, the food was amazingly delicious! Alan is just a great guy to deal with in every aspect! Five stars from me for sure!!!!

From the time we stared working with Alan he was great. Very accommodating extremely helpful right down to helping with the menu do to the fact I have a shell fish allergy. He didn’t want anyone coming up kissing the bride and then she has an allergic reaction. Something I did not even think about. His pricing is extremely fair and he will work with any way he can. Most importantly we went to a food tasting not only is his food amazing. The presentation is amazing. The staff is amazing. I would highly recommend them. Can’t wait for the wedding!

I booked The Ultimate Caterer for my wedding which took place July 1st, 2018. I only had 2 months to plan this wedding so when i tell you that Alan and his team from the Ultimate Caterer was a Godsend, I am not exaggerating at all! Planning a wedding is super stressful, especially when you have a tight budget AND very limited time! However, with Alan I felt super comfortable leaving a lot of things in his hands. He was prompt to reply to my emails and phone calls and really took the time to listen to everything the groom and I had to say. Anyway, get ready for an epic review! The food was DELICIOUS! The selections provided by the Ultimate Caterer were incredibly vast and overwhelming, but Alan walked us through everything on the menu and we got to try a good portion of the food being served. Everything was served to perfection, especially the appetizers. I was a little miffed when I missed some of them because I was taking pictures! However, my guests thoroughly enjoyed the food! Now while the food is incredibly important, the service is also a huge factor in making or breaking a wedding. Alan and his team not only provided us excellent food, but also excellent service! Even during the wedding planning, Alan made sure I had the right linens (dusty rose) for my wedding. I believe he went out of his way to buy the right color which I was so floored by given I had such a small and humble wedding party. He also added his own touches when it came to decorating. When Alan found out we were having a Star Wars themed wedding he brought in one of his personal collections (a giant bust of C3PO to decorate the food display)! He also made sure our cake came out beautifully and definitely pulled out the stops to make sure our Star Wars cake was going to be the wedding cake of our dreams! Lastly, I never once stressed about the food or the service. The team at the Ultimate Caterer made sure my guests were well attended to. No one left hungry by the end of the evening. The only thing negative I would say (and this is nitpicking) is that no one got the delicious cannolis! We had been looking forward to that along with the other desserts, but I only saw the server with the tray go around 1 or 2 tables and then I never saw the tray again. No one really knew we had cannolis at the reception so no harm no foul. Anyway, aside from that I highly highly HIGHLY recommend The Ultimate Caterer! The food and service was worth every damn penny! Alan and Ultimate Caterer made my bridal shower a huge hit! I cannot thank them enough! Everyone was literally raving about the food, including my future mother-in-laws friends and some of my friends who have a particular palate! Everyone was asking for his contact info! Antonio was the one to set up our buffet and it looked spectacular. I used to run weddings for a living so am very particular about presentation and I was truly blown away. It looked better than I even could have imagined (people were taking videos of it for their social media stories lol!) He was also super kind and accommodating. Working with Alan and Ultimate Caterer for our wedding was an absolute JOY! From start to finish they were amazing. Their attention to detail and experience are just fantastic. Alan was on top of the rentals for our outdoor wedding and everything was beautiful. Their service is one thing, but the food takes them to the next level. Alan did a great job with our wedding. The food was great and he really went out of his way during or special moment to make sure that everything went smoothly. He also accommodated us with a special menu request that everyone loved. From the cocktail hour to the end of the night, everything was amazing. We would highly recommend Ultimate Caterers and their services. The food was amazing and the staff did a wonderful job.

I wish I had a great review for Ultimate Caterer. Prior to my wedding, everything seemed effortless and Alan reassured me that everything will be taken care of and that my wedding will be beautiful and the guests will enjoy themselves. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case. Some of the set up was incorrect (tables were missing chairs and the sweetheart table was initially facing the wall where our backs would be turned to guests). Some guests were forced to share food as they never got their food and apparently Ultimate "ran out" even though the final count was more than the number of people that actually attended. Alan was also rude to my mom, certain guests and even the groom. And when it came time to cut the cake and we didn't have a plate or utensils, Alan and his team were nowhere to be found so my husband and I stood there in front of everyone just waiting. We bought liquor for the wedding on consignment through a vendor Alan recommended. The agreement was that unused bottles would be returned and we wouldn’t be charged. Opened/partially used bottles would be ours to take home. We found it odd that not a single bottle was returned to us partially used. The bottles were either not opened or completely finished. Something didn’t seem right about that. The only reason why I'm not giving them the lowest score is because Alan was responsive prior to the wedding. I just wouldn't recommend them.

Alan and Ultimate are the best!  My wife and I visited several caterers before deciding on Ultimate.  Their tasting blew us away!  Ultimate takes care of everything!  We were able to arrange all of our tables, chairs and linens through them.  Plus, they helped us organize a timeline of the entire night....the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. The day was perfect.  The room looked gorgeous and the food was delicious.  Alan even threw in a few extra hors d'oeuvres for our guests.  Their salmon is unbelievable!  Our family and friends all commented on how great the food was.  The desserts were amazing.  We had a  make your own smore's bar which was a huge highlight.  We can't say enough about Ultimate Caterer.  We will definitely recommend them to all our friends who are planning a wedding!

Ultimate Caterer catered my wedding and did a fantastic job.  We chose the Never Ending cocktail party which is passed hors d'oeuvres for the entire night.  Since all our friends always rave about the appetizers we decided that this would be the perfect style of party for our wedding.  Not only are there unique choices such as pasta served in chinese take out containers, but mini sliders and soupalini in mini cups.  The servers never stopped coming around with new trays of food....and the trays were so cool.  Alan uses clocks and books and crazy cool trays.  Our guests thought it was amazing. Alan helped us with the ceremony, liquor, linens and floor plans.  He took care of everything for us.  The servers and bartenders were great.  We are so thankful for Ultimate making our wedding a dream come true!!!

We hired Ultimate Caterers to cater our wedding and could not be more thrilled that we did.  Alan was great throughout the entire planning process.  He met with us a few months before the wedding and helped us choose our dream menu.  He arranged floor plans for us and walked us through the schedule of the entire night.  Ultimate handled not only the food but linens, gorgeous ballroom chairs and all the china and stemware.   His staff arrived at the wedding and set everything up beautifully.  The cocktail hour was amazing.  He made all the displays look really cool and unique.  The hors d'oeuvres were unbelievable....everyone commented on how delicious they were.  We opted for a station wedding and all of our selections were fantastic.  There were never any lines and my guests had so much food to eat.  One of my favorite things were the strolling desserts.  Waiters walked around with trays of HOT cookies and milk shots....they smelled amazing and everyone LOVED them! Highly recommend!

Alan and team are amazing. Ultimate catered our at home wedding this year, they are truly a one stop shop. They have relationships with vendors for anything you might need. They are a very professional group and execute very well. They are very attentive to all the guests and truly set up a spectacular venue. AND the food is awesome. There have many choices for you to create your menu and it is all very good. I highly recommend Ultimate Caterers.

My husband and I cannot thank Alan Perl and Ultimate Caterers enough for their excellent service, planning and professionalism throughout the entire wedding planning process. From the beginning Alan was there to answer all of my questions and work around any specials needs that we had. He was immensely helpful during the whole planning process for the reception and even worked around my busy work schedule to meet and discuss the event. Ultimate Caterers handled all of the logistics and set-up for the event seamlessly, these are people you want in your corner on your big day! My guests have gone out of their way to mention how delicious the food was and how exceptional the service was during the event, people are still raving about the brisket and salmon! Our Maitre D, Joe, was excellent and handled any requests we had with grace. Ultimate Caterers handled the bar for our reception, and there was hardly ever a line! Their service was efficient even when many of my guests were drinking mixed drinks. In short, I could not be happier with my choice to go with Ultimate Caterers for our wedding, the pricing was right (affordable), the food was EXCELLENT, and the service was above and beyond what we could have expected. Fabulous!!! There are not enough words to describe the wonderful wedding that Ultimate Caterers recently provided for my Granddaughter. From planning the venue, menu, linens, flowers, cake and staff, Alan the owner, was one of the most important people for our event. He not only provided a delicious dinner, the service by his Managers, Captains and Servers was impeccable. The displays and butler style cocktail hour was so unique all my guests remarked about it to my family. I highly recommend Ultimate Caterers for any occasion, as we plan to celebrate their First Anniversary with a party that Alan will help plan and caterer for us. My brother just got married and used this catering company. They were terrible. I witnessed Alan, the owner of this company, argue with my brother and his new bride when they approached him with concerns. Which there were plenty of concerns. Every time my sister-in-law asked Alan a question, he would bring her a drink as if he was trying to get her drunk to forget the horrible service. The valet was a mess. My brother had discussed with Alan weeks before the wedding his concern with only having a couple of valets for the cars and Alan told them not to worry about it. Well, they didn't and all of the guests were waiting in their cars for a half hour just to be parked. Alan was especially rude to the whole bridal party, offering them food and then closing lids on their fingers when the went to reach for the appetizers. The planning for the day was also horrible. They showed up late, which created issues for the florist who was trying to set up the decorations. The intermezzo was never served even though it was paid for, the desserts were served for only a couple of minutes and hardly any of the guests got to have dessert because they were up dancing. When guests were asking for water, which was no where to be found other than at the bar (only once was my water glass filled, which was at the end of the night after the glass was sitting upside down on the table for the whole reception), Alan openly yelled at the guests. The only good things about this company are the serving staff who were doing the best they could do with what they were working with and the cook. The food was excellent. But it doesn't make up for the horrible customer service from the owner. Save yourself the trouble and find another caterer!

TERRIBLE! Just terrible-The reception began with the owner YELLING at my husband and I. We were about to be announced into the barn (where the band was), he thought we were being introduced into the tent (where there was only seating, I don't know why he would assume we'd be introduced into the tent with no music) and he scolded us! He said, "You never told me. When am I supposed to start my food service!?" He then grabbed the wedding party list from the band and yelled at our families and friends to line up and yelled, "Doesn't anyone know their name around here!?" Great way to start my reception! Thanks Alan! The owner persuaded us to have one bar with two bartenders and assured us that this was a better plan than two separate bars. The second bar tender left halfway through the reception so there was a huge line the entire event. One bartender for 140 guests! That one bartender than proceeded to pull ice from the coolers (with beer bottles in them) WITH HIS HANDS! Gross!! He also told the guests that my mother in law did not buy certain alcohol and blamed her for not buying enough beer even though we took home 15 cases of beer and dozens of bottles of alcohol! We also had to ask for our unopened bottles to take home, but suspiciously no opened bottles were returned to us, so someone made off with a lot of free liquor that night. We paid for multiple fans as well as an air cooler totaling over $200 in cooling. The night of there were two fans in the barn with NO cooling system. When we asked why we were missing 4 fans as well as the cooling system the owner replied, "They were there (in regards to the fans)," and, "I didn't think you needed the air cooler." It was ridiculously humid that night, the guests and I were melting! I also don't know why he took it upon himself to assume we didn't need the cooling system. When we informed him that we had pictures of the set up with the missing fans, only then did he agree to refund our money. Our cake and cup cakes were left upside in puddle of water over night, even though it was supposed to be packed up for us to take home. We had a second tent added the day before. The day of the event there was no lighting in the tent where the food was being served. I would assume someone with so much "experience" would offer lighting in the second tent, which we gladly would've paid for. Instead our guests had to pick their food in the dark. We also reviewed the lighting in our main tent two times and yet it was still set up incorrectly. Coffee service began with people getting half cups of coffee, with no cream or sugar out on the tables. Our family members had to constantly cool the beer and put it into coolers, even though we were reassured that Ultimate Caterer had the means to keep it cold, since we had it delivered the day of the event cold. This caterer let us down 100%. I would never recommend them to anyone. When I learned of the terrible service I was sick to my stomach knowing that our guests were witnessing this unsanitary service.

We planned our wedding in a unique way. First we found the caterer then we found the venue. We knew we wanted to get married in a different venue and we wanted a cocktail style reception. People recommended looking at caterers to find venues that didn't come with a pre-planned menu. A few days after emailing Ultimate for more information we were invited to a tasting. We were immediately sold. The food at the tasting was amazing. Once we picked our venue, we booked Ultimate. Alan was awesome. Our venue didn't have a standard kitchen but Alan was familiar with the space and assured us that everything would work perfectly. We sat down with Alan a few weeks before the wedding to go over details. The checklist was overwhelming but worth it! The day of the wedding things went so smoothly. We asked to have a table with wine and beer for our guests to pick up as they entered the reception which everyone loved. People raved about the food! Our maitre d was fantastic and made sure we were taken care of the whole night. Ultimate also made sure to pack up all of our things so that we just needed to pick things up the next day. I would definitely recommend them!

My husband and I booked Ultimate Caterer for a cocktail-style reception at a kitchen-less location, and they did a fabulous job. Alan was very friendly and open throughout the whole planning process and worked with me to create a menu that was exactly what I wanted. The staff the day of were equally as pleasant, all the food came out hot and tasted great. They took care of virtually everything, from bringing the alcohol we purchased from a separate provider to setting up the tables and cleaning up. We barely had to do a thing. Highly recommended.

Alan and his team did an outstanding job at our wedding. Our first contact was with Jen who helped us find an amazing location for our wedding. She was great by phone and email and helped answer even the smallest questions. After attending a tasting we were sold! When it came time to work with Alan, he helped us plan and coordinate every detail for the day. He was flexible with every question and last minute changes. The day of his staff did a wonderful job. They even did a great job of dealing with extra people who showed up to an already large wedding. The food and service was great and Alan made sure we were having fun and eating and drinking well. Many thanks to Alan, Jen, Robin, and the staff for doing such a great job despite all the challenges!

First off, when we arrived to cocktail hour I was excited and intrigued by the elegantly designed drink table with a mixture of wines and various martinis. Alan the owner sold it to me during our meeting to speed up the bartending service during the initial rush of cocktail hour. It was brilliant because with in 15 or so minutes the drink table was empty and it seemed all the guests had drinks in hand. The staff were surprisly nice, because most people in the food and bev industry seem a little bitter over time, but this staff was pleasant and smiled everytime an appetizer was offered. The Bartenders were efficient and knew all the common drinks that would be served. We went with the Buffet package because we did not want any guests to complain they did not eat enough. We had delicious Penne Vodka (def recommend it), a Carving station with crab/spinach stuffed pork loin and london broil, a light salad with some vinagrette dressing, an assortment of dinner rolls and pecan encrusted salmon. The food quality alone is worth the price, along with straight forward sales process which Alan and Jennifer helped guide me through. We had an amazing time and I am sure my first daughter to wed had just as memorable an experience. I would definitely recommend them to my son whenever he decides to settle down. My favorite part of this caterer was that they personalized a package for my event and traveled to my remote location of the party. To top off the night, they passed warm cookies with cute little milk shots to wash them down. To my surprise the young lady passing the cookies was still smiling 5 hours into the party. I was shocked and tipped every server after the party for a great job. Thank you Ultimate Caterer and keep up the great work!!!

This wedding caterer is NOT worth the money. As a recent client of Ultimate Caterer, I can tell you first hand that if the company does not have enough people to staff your event (because they have over booked) they will bring in people that the owner has never met before. I had an Iphone and two Ipods stolen by the staff. The owner did not care when I told him this occurred. Additionally, the staff seemed unknowledgeable about what was supposed to happen which we had discussed at length with the owner. The head of the staff ruined our wedding cupcakes which he garnished with an unmarked substance that was in the refrigerator. There were specific instructions left for the care of the cupcakes and in no part of the memo did it mention garnishing them with anything, let alone BAKING SODA. Last but not least, the staff took it upon themselves to steal our favor boxes. My husband and I crafted the boxes ourselves over the span of many months and filled them with gourmet chocolates. I'm glad half of the guests did not even get to taste them but the staff enjoyed them. Please heed this warning and do not book this company for any significant event in your life.

Yet again, Alan and his team hit it out of the park! When we saw that Ultimate Caterer was one of the preferred caterers at our venue, we were excited. Alan has catered events for us before it was not even a question that we would go with him again. He was an ease to work with from the beginning and was constantly putting my mind at ease. He was quick to solve problems, even if the problem was not on his end initially! The food...Oh my word the food was AMAZING! Six weeks later, I am still telling people about the best piece of salmon ever that I ate at my wedding. People just loved our cocktail hour (the last minute added lamp chops were just out of this world) and our cake looked great. I would hands down hire Alan and Ultimate Caterers for any future affairs.

I was searching for an offbeat location for my wedding and was going to need off-premise catering with linens, cake, alcohol, etc all included and affordable. I sent a message of my needs and price point to various caterers and Alan of Ultimate Caterer promptly put together a package that included everything at a reasonable rate. Unfortunately for me, I found Ultimate late in my search and my family had already settled on a traditional venue. I did not end up using their services, but having gotten a run around from many caterers, this one seems the most responsive and helpful. I highly recommend giving them a call or email to see if they are right for you.

Everyone at Ultimate was amazing. The food was fabulous. It was like having a day of coordinator and a caterer combined.

If I could give them zero stars I would! They didn't do a single thing we asked them, in fact it felt like they were catering someone else wedding with how much was done incorrectly! The staff was rude to us, my parents, his parents, and the guests! They didn't have water available at the cocktail hour, didn't have water available at all the tables and didn't refill any of them throughout the night. In fact guests were walking back to the catering area to get it themselves!!! They wouldn't turn the heat off when we asked them to! To top it off, in all the videos of the wedding they are in their sweatpants still getting the cocktail hour prepared right behind us! As we're saying our vows!!! They didn't put chairs out at the cocktail hour when we asked them to so elderly people had no where to sit for an hour! To top it off as the reception they didn't set up a place setting for his grandmother, who's in a wheelchair, even after they were notified! I had sent them a map with an arrow showing EXACTLY where she would be sitting and they couldn't get that right! There is so much more that they did incorrectly that I could write a book! They were too busy smoking cigarettes and making out in front of our guests than paying attention to their job! I'm so grateful to the rest of my vendors for the amazing job they did because without that our day would have been a disaster!

The food was great, however,considering it was a wedding, it was a little disturbing to see a two foot, pink, plastic ice-cream cone and chocolate syrup bottle at the buffet table. It was decoration that wasn't needed or wanted. Tacky!!!
