A Vermont native, Rylee currently resides New York City taking in all that Manhattan has to offer. When she’s not scouring the internet and social media for gift-worthy finds, you can find her exploring independent bookstores, traveling to new destinations, and watching the latest talked about movies and TV shows.
Experience
Rylee has always had a love for writing, but it wasn’t until a teacher suggested she try journalism that she considered becoming a full-time writer. Her time in college allowed her to delve into the world of TV, magazine, and digital media, but it wasn’t until she interned at the TODAY Show that she realized service journalism was where she wanted to be. After graduating from college, she went on to freelance for Shop TODAY pitching and writing shopping stories on beauty, fashion, home and parenting. For a little while, she pivoted out of the commerce realm and worked as a digital news writer at Future PLC covering trends and breaking news content. Rylee couldn’t stay away from writing about shopping for long; she eventually found her way to BuzzFeed where she wrote SEO shopping content and focused on her passion topics: gift guides, home decor, skincare, trend posts and more.

Rylee is a proud alumna of Hofstra University. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from the Lawrence Herbert School of Communication and a double minor in international affairs and European studies.
