don’t always taste as amazing as they look. Every one of our fears went out the window the second we did our tasting. Beyond her cakes being the most delicious I have ever tasted Karen was so attentive and made us feel like we had her complete attention and focus. My husband’s favorite part of the process was getting to sit down with her and not only taste but have a conversation so she could get to know us, our style, and our vision and watching her bring that to life in her design. Karen listened to our vision and the end result was even better than we could have dreamed. We’ve been married not for 9 months and still talk constantly about how much we loved our cake in both design and flavor! I truly believe you will not meet another person who pours as much heart and soul into not just the cake, but truly understanding you as a couple and your dream for your wedding! I believe Karen doesn’t want to make just a good cake, but a masterpiece you will remember and cherish forever. As an added bonus we got to take the top tier of our cake for our one year anniversary. We cheated and ate it about 6 months early, and I can say with complete honest it tasted the exact same as it did 6 months earlier. As a bride this was really special to me because I had heard so many stories about the anniversary cake being gross after being frozen, and I didn’t want to have any negative memories of our cake or that day. Thankfully we had the opposite experience to the point where it brought tears to my eyes remembering so vividly cutting it and tasting it for the first time on our wedding day. Hiring Karen will be the best thing you do for your wedding, she will help add such a beautiful personal touch to your day that you will cherish forever, just as we have this first year of marriage. She even had us use these cute little tasting forks for the samples. Karen is extremely knowledgeable and a blast to work with. The only hard part was choosing the flavor because literally ALL of her cakes tasted delicious. We actually ended up choosing two. Not only was the selection process a breeze, she coordinated everything with the venue which made my life and stress as a bride much easier. Couldn't recommend her more highly. How beautiful and delicious my cake was is still being talked about by my guests.

dding cake! Her designs are so beautiful and very intricate. You can see from her online portfolio that she loves what she does! My husband, daughter, and I met with her for a tasting and, let me tell you, we were are amazed. Our appointment with Karen was professional but relaxing. She listened to us, answered all of our questions, and planned our design right then and there. After the tastings it was so difficult to choose because all the flavors were so delicious. We chose a three-tier cake with two flavors. My husband loved the chocolate as well and a few weeks later I decided to surprise him at the reception with an "all chocolate" Groom's Cake. Karen listened to my suggestions and we emailed and texts sample photos over a few days until we agreed on the perfect design. She even picked up my two cake toppers a week before my date so she could easily incorporate them in the designs. Karen coordinated with our florist and, between them, a beautiful design was created at our venue on reception day. We had approximately 90 guests but my cakes had 130 servings between them, minus the cake toppers (which we took home) and ALL the cake went. Our guests gladly went back for seconds and raved about how delicious they were. We would most definitely hire her in the future! Extremely pleased to say the least!!!

nomenal! The lemon and respberry flavor was light and refreshing for a hot June wedding. I still look back at pictures of how beautiful it was. Karen took care of everything so I didn’t have to worry the day of. I can’t recommend Cakes in Art enough for your special day!

o our first meeting with a folder of designs and papers for Karen. He had a vision and that vision came to life! We could not have asked for a more detailed and stunning cake. Not only were we blown away, but so were our guests. We are so grateful to Karen and all her hard work and dedication she put into this cake. For someone who was not familiar with Game of Thrones, her talent shined through in this cake and she delivered! She was professional, on time, explained everything in detail, had printed instructions on how to properly care for our “anniversary” cake. She also had a to-go goodie bag prepared for our caterer to ensure we had two pieces of cake at the end of the night. This was amazing as we did not eat any cake that night! I’m not ashamed to say that once we got home on Sunday and found the bag with our cake, we dug in!!! My only regret is I wish I had more. We cannot thank Karen enough!

ut very well priced. We were able to get a 4 tier cake with delicate sugar flowers for less then what most other places were charging for a basic 3 tier cake.

ke was four-tiered with mint green icing and white beads along the edges. Branches with white blossoms twined their way to the top where a mother blue bird sat with her nest of eggs. Truly a work of art. But what really put this cake over the top was how delectable it was. Two tiers were pink champagne mousse, and two were white chocolate apricot mousse tort, with the lightest white cake. I usually do not care for icing, but the icing on this cake was out-of-this-world: Smooth, creamy, melt-in-your mouth buttercream. The cake was so delicious, I ordered another, smaller, one, undecorated, several weeks later as a Mother's Day present to myself!

s we were having was in between two tier sizes so she made it larger than we ordered just to make sure we had enough. Even with an oversized cake, every single piece got eaten and multiple people came up to say they had two slices. Karen did an exceptional job with our cake!
