We wish we could give more than the five stars because Barbara well deserves it. It was a wonderful experience working with her. She not only understood our vision for our wedding cake but also provided suggestions that made it even more beautiful than we could ever imagine. We had the reception folks tell us that for the years they've worked there, our cake was one of the two they've found most beautiful. Now that's the look, the taste was outstanding! Our vendors and our guests kept telling us how delicious the cake was. It didn't take long for 3 of the 4 layers to disappear all together (and we thought we had enough for our guest number). We found out people took more than two plates and also stayed at the end of the wedding just to eat more. I was very pleased because this beautiful and delicious cake was part of my wedding. I would highly recommend Barbara! My family has already booked her again for another wedding and I had several guests take down her contact info. As a person and as a cake artist, Barbara is outstanding and we are very pleased to have booked her for our wedding. Thanks a lot!

My husband and I got married in Kansas City this past June and used Barbara for our wedding cakes. We had several hundred guests and were nervous about spending a fortune on wedding cake. We were shocked at how reasonable the prices were and how delicious it tasted!! We ordered a 3 tier wedding cake, a golf-themed groom's cake and several sheet cakes and were very happy with all of them!! Barbara was quick to respond to communication and just a joy to work with! She is so sweet and really cares about providing quality wedding cakes to her customers. I brought her pictures of the cakes that I liked and she nailed them exactly! On wedding day, the deliver was on time and the cake was set exactly how we has asked. We were very happy with Classic Cakes and More and would highly recommend them!!!

Our recent wedding was so exciting & beautiful. Classic Cakes & More baked & designed our cake exactly like we wanted. The taste of the cake and that buttercream icing was wonderful, our guests really enjoyed it. We will be using this bakery for other special events in our lives.

Out of every vendor that we used for our wedding, Barbara was by far my favorite person to work with. She was helpful, caring, and considerate, and it was a joy to speak to her on a casual level as well. She went out of her way to make the top tier of our cake gluten-free, because of my celiac issues, and she had dutifully recommended a "naked" cake, since my husband is not too fond of frosting (too overly sweet in most cases). Barbara delivered a wonderful, BEAUTIFUL cake to our reception. It was a simple pound cake, and even a week after the wedding the leftover cake was still moist and delicious! And because her frosting is delectable, fluffy, and mild, we will be ordering a fully-frosted cake from her in October. Her prices were beyond reasonable. And the complimentary cake-testing: WOW! My husband has a rather large family, so we requested two dozen cupcakes or so to try amongst us all. We offered to pay, and she waived the payment and cake us all the cupcakes for free! What a pleasant and nice surprise! A wonderful woman, a delicious and gorgeous cake, and a great business.

While I only had a few bites of our cake it was beautiful and our trial was delicious. Each of our layers was a different flavor and the grooms cake was great. And so affordable! Easily one of the best values out there and one of the most delicious.

Our wedding cake was so good from this bakery. Barbara, the owner, was awesome to plan our cake with; was never pushy like other bakeries we visited while tasting their cakes. The flavor of our cake was strawberry with chocolate fudge filling.....oooooh so good ! They will be baking a special anniversary cake for our parents real soon, know it will be yummy too !

This bakery was out of this world. Everything about our cake & mints she made for us was great. Oh, I don't want to forget the awesome filling. The cake was lemon with raspberry filling. We will be ordering a birthday cake from her soon, of course our favorite now, the lemon & raspberry !

Barbara was so wonderful to work with. She just made our cake for our wedding about a month ago, and unfortunately I didn't actually get to sit down & eat any of our cake, but I received SO MANY compliments on how delicious it was! And I believe them all, considering I devoured the cupcakes she brought to our tasting! Barbara is just the sweetest woman, and she loves what she does. We were so happy the way our wedding cake turned out. The bakery told us to bring a cake picture we liked to our first meeting. So we did, & it was the design we wanted, she said she had no problem designing it. WOW, it looked exactly like the pic we gave to her. Barbara created the most beautiful wedding cake for my groom and I! I wanted a very simple and elegant design and she understood my vision completely! I had fresh dahlias waiting for her to add and she placed them perfectly. I also ordered a funny grooms cake that was awesome! I have been working with Barbara the last several months on my wedding cake. I should first tell you I live in Texas, but will be getting married in Kansas City. She has made my cake planning a breeze! I can't even begin to tell you how wonderful she has been to work with - always very happy on the phone and has been able to do everything I've asked for. I met her at the bridal show last July, and knew that she was the person who had to do my cake…I mean, if someone has been doing cakes for 30+ years, you know they have to be amazing! Because of her great customer service and pricing, I would recommend Barbara to everyone! Plus, even when I changed my cake design a month before the wedding, she was happy to oblige! Can't wait to see the finished product! :)

On August 23, 2013, I hosted a surprise birthday party for Phil Beets at the Grand Loft in Osawatomie, Kansas. What a fantastic evening! Brandi Light of the Grand Loft recommended Barbara Baird of Classic Cakes and More for the cake. I wasn't able to meet Barbara personally so we corresponded by email. When I asked for a John Deere cake she asked me a couple of questions and she sent me a picture of a beautiful cake that she replicated and delivered to the Grand Loft. Gorgeous--and delicious! She was even able to add a smaller cake in the same motif when I increased the number of guests during the week before the event. Barbara was a delight to work with. She took myself and my husband through the process of concept to creation in making one fabulous wedding cake! Everything was well thought out and organized. I don't use the word 'perfect' very often, but have no problem using it to describe my experience in working with this wonderful cake lady!!! And the price was unbeatable! On another note, our daughter is about to have her first birthday, which means having a very special 'smash cake' made in her honor. Barbara created a delicious and beautiful cake for our wedding. The cake was just what I had always dreamed of and tasted fantastic!
