There are no words to express how thankful I am to have been referred to Jen & Jonah for our wedding photography. When I initially started to plan my wedding I knew that I wanted pictures that could tell a story, be different yet timeless. Wi...th this in mind, I set out to find “the” photographer and ended up visiting countless wedding photographer websites, talking to a few photographers over the phone and everything and really didn’t see or hear what I was looking for. I was then referred to Jen & Jonah by a photographer in Dayton. I visited their website and saw samples of their work and seriously got butterflies in my stomach. I nearly wanted to do a cartwheel when Jen told me that they were available to shoot our wedding. We booked right away and never regretted it at all. It just so happened that Jen was out in San Francisco where we live about 9 months before our wedding and was able to shoot our engagement pictures which turned out great. She’s so kind and very patient. On our wedding day, both Jen & Jonah were ON TIME. I loved how they were both so organized and helped to keep things on schedule of when and where we needed to be next (in absence of our wedding planner). During the first look I remember it was just a very emotional moment for my husband and I, we cried, laughed and hugged, during all of this I Jen & Jonah captured those little touches, the warm embraces, and the raw emotions of that moment. This is true for the rest of the day, I don’t know what it is, but they both just have “it” that raw talent and “gift” as one of my bridesmaids described it. I loved how they provided direction during our pictures and also really managed the chaos very well of the family pictures after the ceremony. They both remained so calm and professional during the day and never once did they lose their cool. I enjoyed the fact that they are a two person team, which means that you have full coverage to capture the details of your big day. Also, a piece of advice for brides on a budget like I was, it is definitely worth spending the little extra money to get a quality photographer as your pictures are one of the only things from the wedding day that will last a lifetime. The cake is eaten the day of, the flowers wilt in a few days, but your pics last forever. Not trying to sound cheesy, but it’s true. Even if you have to cut back in certain areas, it will be worth it. Well, thank you again Jen and Jonah, you guys are seriously the best!
