for our wedding. Communication in the beginning was lacking, but I chalked that up to brides needing to change dates due to the pandemic. When we finally were able to book a tasting, the food was great and it seemed like the menu we decided on was set and every detail was marked down and everything would be great. The week leading up to our wedding, Stacey was in contact with me, we went over the menu again and a timeline for how the reception and food would play out. I was feeling very confident at that point that things were going to go smoothly the day of. Our total for appetizers and main course was close to $8000. We payed each installment leading up to the wedding on time. For our appetizers we agreed on: braised short rib perogies (passed), grilled cheese and tomato soup shooter station, lobster bisque with cheddar biscuit shooter station, bloody mary shrimp cocktail station, and a fruit display with cream. There were no perogies, only the lobster bisque soup with grilled cheese, a few shrimp with no sauce, and cut up fruit in a bowl. The appetizers alone were over $1000. The main course was good, there were complaints that the prime rib was raw, it was a carving station so people who got theirs first got the outer most cooked part, and the people who got some later got the inner part which was raw. The appetizers and main course were running late, but things happen so that didn't bother me.They were short a server which I paid extra to have, but I really wasn't concerned about that cost either. I was more concerned about the missing food. I would have figured if they were down a person, they would have came a little earlier so that they had what they needed when they needed it, but that didn't happen. Stacey spoke to my father in law at the reception and told him she would be refunding us money. After a few days of not hearing from her, I reached out and asked about a refund. She said she would refund me the cost of the server, but didn't address the other issues with the lack of food paid for and expected. I mentioned the lack of food and she said she would refund me $75 because food cost had increased since we booked and were quoted a price, so she was keeping the money she would have refunded us to cover the increase in cost. I read back through the contract and it stated that any service booked 6 months+ would be discussed closer to the event to address any increases in food prices. This was never discussed with me, and I would've rather paid any extra needed to have the food that was agreed upon. Never was I given a reason for why I only got half of the appetizers paid for. We discussed this further and her best offer for a refund was $232, which I have not received. Not only did I know that food was not provided that was agreed upon, but all of my guests also knew because we had made a huge menu for everyone to see. I was disappointed with Just Ask Catering and with how they handled their mistake, which was to pretend it didn't happen until called out about it. I will not be using them for any other event.

he on-site grill was not brought though despite paying for it and in my opinion way too much for what the food was. On the plus side the owner especially was very appropriate and talked to me afterwards clearing a lot of things up and what was communicated unclearly.

work with and went above and beyond what they were hired to do by helping set-up & decorate our cookie tables, frequently checking in with my husband and I to make sure we didn’t need anything, as well as, always being ready to lend a hand with anything else that needed done as the day/evening went on! We can’t thank them enough for being a part of our day!!

We took advantage of all of the decor items that they have to borrow and it just made our reception site to a whole nother level.The food, there are no words for how fantastic the food is, I was so happy to have left overs because now I can enjoy their amazing food for days to come. Stacey was also my day of coordinator. My day went off without a hitch, and if there was a hitch Stacey made sure I didn't know about it. She was truely amazing from the first day I met her to the day of my wedding. Anyone reading this must go with them, you will not be sorry!

Stacey and the chef were great in planning and preparing the menu. we had amazing pumpkin soup shooters (which everyone raved about), bruschetta, baked brie, risotto, two different meat entrees, roasted vegetables, and more! Everything was delicious and dinner service was smooth. I wanted rustic, family style meal, and Just Ask Catering really came through. In addition to very reasonable prices (the 4500 figure is an estimate and included everything- like dishes, flatware, barware, bar tenders, servers, taxes, etc.) and great food, I was really struck by how professional and accommodating Stacey was. As someone who worked in the restaurant business for years, I was really impressed! Stacey was really patient with me and all of my questions. She was especially great in managing last minute details and changes. For instance, just before the wedding, we decided that we wanted a hot cider/hot chocolate bar out by the ceremony (for guests to sip during our outdoors fall ceremony). She was so great about handling the last minute request and everything looked gorgeous! She also was able to provide bar tenders who did an amazing job, and they had an incredible, friendly staff of servers. I could go on and on about all of the ways that she went above and beyond (including setting out all of my cake centerpieces before the wedding!). Before talking with Just Ask, I was so annoyed by how impersonal and disinterested other caterers were! I was really pleasantly surprised by the difference with Just Ask! I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a friendly, warm caterer that they can rely on for their wedding or event!

r which was amazing, and worked for our vegan/vegetarian/gluten free guests and the meat eaters loved it too. The servers they sent were sitting around most of the time, never released tables for the buffet, forgot salt and pepper shakers for tables. The bartenders had no idea what they were doing.

I barely noticed them putting things up and tearing them down. * Most of the food was DELICIOUS - we are still getting wonderful comments about the pumpkin soup shooters we had during cocktail hour. Some things they could improve: * I received a call the Monday before our Saturday wedding to confirm the menu. Thank goodness they called because they had two of the entrees wrong. * We had on our menu chicken stuffed with cheese. I'm not sure they remembered exactly what we tasted back at our first tasting, but what we got on our wedding day was most definitely not it. * We had on our invoice a line for "Bar Service." We believed this would cover everything but the alcohol for the bar. At our final tasting, we came to find out that it did not include mixers. * We also had on our invoice a line for Soda. When we found out about the bar service, we were told that they also no longer offered pop/soda and it was mistakenly listed on our invoice. Overall, the food was really good. However, make sure that you ask a lot of questions about exactly what is included and what is not and confirm everything on the menu in writing with them.

as a bit disappointed. The flow of traffic around the cocktail hour food was a bit restricted, and in the space, I know there were better locations for the appetizers. Dinner went too slowly. However, the salad was delicious. And people went crazy over the mashed potatoes. The roast beef au jus looked and tasted different than it had at the tasting, but my guests thought it was good. Bart's catering also provided the bartenders. Overall, I am happy that I went with Barts. However, if I were to do it again, I would provide very clear instructions, timing, and direction to them to make things go more smoothly.

op raving over the sushi appetizers, mini primanti sandwiches, and delicious salmon entree. bart was very detail oriented and continuously checked in to make sure that the bride and groom and families were satisfied. he was absolutely wonderful.

s. It was a sumptuous and perfectly healthy meal. I was able to feel really good about what my guests were eating as well as my weddings impact, or lack thereof, on the planet. A pleasure to work with in every way. Thanks so much Bart!

eception and they had served the salads. 40 minutes before they were told to! We hadn't even been announced, grace hadn't been said, speeches hadn't been made. I was appalled. I almost didn't recover. Then the napkins I had ordered weren't on the tables- instead it was some cheap paper thing. The food at the head table was cold. I payed so much money and everything I tasted was cold. The food wasn't even what were promised at the tasting and my vegetarians never received their entrees! Lastly we paid $150 for glasses at the bar and they never actually made it to the bar!It was so unbelievable I started doing shots just to calm down. We were so disappointed because everything had seemed so good up until the big day. The icing on the cake... a random $254 charge on my debit card from them without my permission! I hate to write a bad review but so many things went wrong. The staff was friendly as ever but just too inexperienced. If it wasn't my wedding day maybe it wouldn't have mattered but my recommendation save yourself the stress and go with someone else
