My husband and I hired Midwest Lifeshots three weeks after becoming engaged. We searched online for local photographers and when we came to the website for Midwest Lifeshots I immediately fell in love with their photos and their wedding slidesh...ow. I was sold and my husband agreed that they had the best pictures and their prices were competitive. We set up our first meeting with Scott and he sealed the deal with us. He was professional, but fun at the same time making the meeting very comfortable and reassuring that we were hiring the right company. Throughout the rest of our engagement we received multiple thank you gifts for hiring the company, my favorite being the "date night" package about three weeks prior to our wedding. It is a stressful time as most brides know, and the gift was a thoughtful reminder to take time to enjoy each other before the big day. Around this time I also had the final meeting before the big day with Scott. He helped me plan out our timeline for the day and suggested places that would be nice for pictures. He answered a lot of our questions about what the day would be like and then also gave me suggestions on how to keep the wedding party on the timeline we set. I laughed when he told me how long my hair and make-up would take by just looking at the length of my hair and yes, he was right. I left the meeting relieved knowing that I had hired the best company to meet our needs. When it came to the big day Scott and Kadi showed up on time and ready to go. They were professional and very flexible to work with while we were getting ready. It was nice to have two photographers because Scott was able to photograph the guys and Kadi photographed the girls. Also, we were able to set up a first look at a different location with the two photographers which I thought was unique. After our first look we took some photos with our wedding party on the way to the Church. We were able to walk due to it being so close to the hotel where we had gotten ready. This was a lot of fun picking out places to get pictures along the way. When we got to the Church for formals pictures, everyone was impressed on how organized both Scott and Kadi were. At the last meeting I was asked to fill out a form about what formal pictures I would like to have done. It was easy to fill out being that I just had to check boxes next to the list of every formal picture that you could ever possibly want was listed. I didn't think the form was necessary, but the way we were able to transition so smoothly during formals from bridesmaids to groomsmen to his family to my family was amazing. My entire bridal party and family members complimented how nice they went. After the wedding we headed to a second outdoor location for more photos, suggested by Scott. We had a lot of fun with our wedding party and our photographers during this time. All of us were more relaxed and I am really happy we were able to do this. When it came to the reception, Scott and Kadi caught every moment we could have ever wanted even when it meant staying a little late to catch the mother/son dance. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for the best. I am still getting compliments a month after our wedding from our family and friends on how great Scott and Kadi were. I had recommended Midwest Lifeshots to a friend prior to my wedding and she shares the same story. They were professional, flexible, and fun. I will continue to work with this company in the years to come.
