Morada

I cannot say enough positive things about the Morada. To give a bit of info, my fiancé and I have been “planning” our wedding for quite some time. Between Covid, college, deployments, and changes of duty situation, our wedding has been pushed back and changed multiple times. A suddenly change of plans left my fiancé and I only 3 months to put a wedding together. Having previously toured the Morada last year, we made the decision to have our wedding here. I reached out to Devon, asked if she had April 18th available and once we received the go ahead, the wedding took off. I had a ton of questions, concerns, and last minute clarifications. Not only was she super understanding and responsive, she made everything so much easier. Now let’s talk about the venue. Beautiful! This was a destination wedding for my family. Coming from the east coast, the Joshua Tree rocks combined with the modern/relaxing desert theme was perfect. We received a ton of compliments on truly beautiful the venue was. We even had a guest ask for her Quinceañera to be held at the Morada. The day of: Perfect! I cannot say it enough. Exactly what we wanted and a phenomenal venue for a small intimate wedding. I also want to state that the Morada coordinators who assisted on the day of were amazing and even assisted when we found out we were missing some items. I highly recommend that if you are looking for a venue then this is the place for you.

Hunter and Devon are incredible hosts. We held our wedding ceremony and reception at the Morada and it was everything we had imagined. Our stay on the property was equally as incredible. I could not recommend this venue/airbnb enough. Best weekend of our lives 🤍

Just recently married at this venue! We enjoyed every minute and our guests were blown away by the site! The location is perfect for small and large wedding parties. Devon and her staff will help you throughout the process and are absolutely wonderful to work with. The backdrop in every photo is beautiful and we could not have asked for a better place to be married.

My wife and I had an idea of a wedding location as we went into looking for venues, looking for a place we didn't have to do much to in-terms of decor. We wanted somewhere with a natural beauty that was breath taking. When we went to go see the Morada in person we were speechless at the beauty and character the property had. We instantly saw this as our venue, the price point was surprisingly right in our budget and we had no trouble locking in our date. A year and months later we were saying our vows and dancing with one and another under the beautiful Joshua Tree sky surrounded by our loved ones and the beautiful rocks and cactuses the Morada has to offer. Our check in was seamless, our set up and wedding was as easy as easy can be. Not just my wife but our family who was able to stay with us for the weekend had a dream come true all possible to the Morada and the capabilities it offered. Not to mention they have an amazing network of vendors who are familiar with the property and location witch is a major plus. All and all we highly recommend the Morada to any couple looking for an intimate wedding or event under the desert sky.

PICK THIS VENUE! The folks that own and operate it are so kind, organized, communicative and the some. This venue offers a beautiful background with a wide array of options for layout of your event etc. They worked with us as we planned our event, had questions, and needed tips/guidance on certain things for our event. They also know the best vendors to work with in town, and the vendors rave about this venue as well :) The house/property itself is stunning. Truly, jaw dropping beautiful. I will also add that staying there is very easy and comfortable, so if you can spring for that in your budget it is worth it. We stayed there all weekend with our friends (leading up to the weekend) and loved lounging by the pool during the day and sitting by the fire pit at night. It is the perfect distance from the main strip in town (so close, 10 mins) and also secluded enough to feel like you are out IN nature. ALL of our wedding guests and family were raving about how beautiful it is and how peaceful the property vibes are too! It was also an added lovely touch that the casita and house can separate our the wedding parties when getting ready. The nature surrounding the property is unbeatable. Stunning sunrises and sunsets. The star gazing is also super clear at night. There are a million little places you can take pictures and some literally PERFECT backdrops for the ceremony, family pics, and portraits. Honestly if you are planning a wedding out in Joshua Tree, pick this venue. It is easy to create the vibe you want for your event, and you will be so relaxed and feel the peace and beauty of Joshua Tree the whole time!

A beautiful setting, super friendly and helpful staff, the guests were all blown away by the location and views. The entire weekend went perfectly, exceeded all expectations. We would highly recommend the Morada for any wedding, event, party or just a weekend getaway. A+

The Morada is a beautifully situated, well-appointed venue with its own unique charm. Thoughtful interior and exterior design provides a fantastic backdrop for incredible photos. The place itself has such a comfortable, warm vibe that is so inviting, with the extra artist out-building being ideal for guests / a small family to have their own space. To top it off, we loved the small touches such as Aesop amenities, Sonos-wired throughout, and plenty of storage space. Such an appealing space!

We had bad luck wedding planning with two previous wedding venues falling through. In hindsight, I am so glad they did, because those circumstances led me to Devon and the Morada. Devon was kind enough to accommodate us and our 50+guests and various vendors with less than 6 weeks to our wedding date. She was very reliable and responsive throughout the process, which was very much appreciated after so much stress dealing with other venues. The Morada has gorgeous natural desert landscape giving us the perfect backdrop for both our ceremony and reception; the decor we had was barely needed and simply served as accents to the existing aesthetic. The interior of the home is also beautiful and perfectly desert-chic. The other structure on the property was the ideal place for me, (the bride), to get ready, and accommodated my three girlfriends comfortably for the weekend. We received SO many compliments from our guests on having such a special venue. If you are looking for a truly unique and unforgettable venue for your event, look no further.

Morada is magical! My husband and I met in Joshua Tree so we were determined to return to our beloved desert to tie the knot. This is a classy and modern property surrounded by the most beautiful Joshua Tree setting. I stumbled upon it and booked immediately because it was reasonably priced, we were able to stay on property and host a “backyard” style wedding in their spacious lot, along with enjoy the pool and hot tub all weekend! We also loved the studio space which we used as a bridal suite and honeymoon suite. The environment is already so lovely that minimal decor is needed. We had a fully outdoor wedding and reception, with plenty of space (3 bedrooms + the studio) to host friends and family who helped us set up. The reception in the backyard was complete with lights and disco ball on the patio, fire pits to sit around, and plenty of space to set up dessert and drinks, and party all night long! Devon was lovely to work with, very responsive and helpful, and flexible in accommodating my requests. We had the most beautiful wedding and hold this place very close to our hearts. Thank you!

Choosing where to have your wedding is a HUGE decision, so when we decided we wanted to get married in Joshua Tree, we looked at several spots in the area. As soon as we visited the Morada we KNEW this was it. The grounds and house are simply stunning - something you would see in the pages of Architectural Digest. The layout was perfect for the wedding and had a seamless flow- with a gorgeous outdoor scenic spot where we had our ceremony, leading to the yard and beautiful patio where we had a cocktail hour, dinner and reception. Having a separate, beautiful studio with a bedroom, bathroom and kitchen fully detached from the main house was so ideal for the bride and groom to be able to get ready separately on the morning of the wedding. Devon was especially helpful, giving us a full tour, being in constant communication when we had any questions and providing a list of suggested vendors to help us with planning. So many of our guests have raved to us about how magical and unique our venue was and we couldn’t be happier we chose the Morada.

This venue is beautiful and perfect for hosting a wedding. From our first tour through our wedding and after the staff was extremely helpful and attentive. They really wanted to make our wedding weekend special and The Morada was a huge part of why it was.

I wanted to take a moment to express my sincerest gratitude for the incredible experience my new wife and I had at this stunning venue for our wedding. We chose to have a Mexican-inspired wedding, and the setting at Morada was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the beauty of the desert landscape and the privacy that the property offered. The property backs up to hundreds of acres of pristine desert landscape. The attention to detail and impeccable design of the space created a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly complemented our vision for the day. The staff was incredibly accommodating and made sure that every aspect of our special day was executed flawlessly. From the delicious food to the outstanding service, everything was simply perfect. We received so many compliments from our guests about the beauty of the venue. What truly made our experience at Morada unforgettable, however, was the incredible staff. Everyone we encountered was so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely invested in making sure that our wedding was everything we hoped it would be. They truly went above and beyond to make sure that every detail was perfect, and we felt so taken care of throughout the entire day. Our wedding day was everything we dreamed of and more, and we will cherish the memories forever. We are already looking forward to returning to Morada for future special occasions.

We couldn't have asked for more! From the relaxing night before the big day (much needed!) to a perfect ceremony, to the blow out reception, Devon and her husband anticipated all of our needs and went above and beyond them! My wife and I plan on returning to the Morada for our anniversaries so we can always remember the best day of our lives!

Morada was a DREAM wedding venue. The hosts were responsive, kind and the pricing was incredibly fair. The space is absolutely stunning and had all of our guests totally blown away. I wouldn't change a thing.
