I was really hesitant to get a wedding planner. I'm a very organized person so I wasn't really sure if I wanted to spend the extra money but now that it's all said and done, hiring Amanda was easily the best decision I made throughout the whole wedding planning process. Amanda is so organized and easy to work with; she was able to come up with affordable alternatives and help make my visions come to life. The day of our wedding was so perfect, literally not a single thing went wrong the whole day. Worth every penny!!

At the beginning of my engagement I was so excited to plan and wanted to do everything myself. My wise fiance (now husband) convinced me to look into hiring a wedding planner and it was the best decision we ever made. We found White Ivy online and read some outstanding reviews of Amanda’s work. We were fortunate to hire her early in the process of planning our wedding. Amanda and her team are AMAZING. I cannot praise them highly enough. Amanda is organized, efficient, creative, calm, and extremely good at what she does. Throughout the planning she helped us come up with creative ideas to help blend our Indian/American wedding into one seamless, beautiful event, while staying budget conscious and organized. She was open minded to our slightly less than conventional ideas and embraced our unique vision. She recommended all the vendors for our ceremony and reception and they were all absolutely fantastic. The day of the event I didn't worry about anything- I just followed her detailed timeline and she handled the rest. I didn't even bring my phone. The family joke was that the wedding hashtag should be #AskAmanda because she literally attended to every detail. During a moment of panic when the clasp of my wedding dress broke right before I walked down the aisle, she calmly troubleshooted options and ended up somehow fixing it with a ziptie from her emergency kit. I'm sure there were probably ten other panic moments that happened, but I honestly didn't hear about them. Amanda handled it. We were so lucky to have her on our team. The day would not have been the perfect, wonderful, dreamlike wedding day that we got to experience if she hadn't been there. Amanda, you are amazing- thank you so, so, so much for all of your hard work.

Amanda is absolutely lovely. She is kind, prompt, professional, and supportive. Her poise is what makes her such a gracious help on your wedding day. She always had a clear answer for any question we had. She took care of EVERYTHING. I recommend her services to anyone. Her team on wedding day were so helpful, kind, and fantastic. They kept reminding me, "Today is your day! Just have fun!" Amanda picked up all of our decor and supplies the day before the wedding. She then set everything up on the day of our wedding with her team. One of her interns drove us and the photographer around for photos so none of our family had to. During our wedding, she was such a lovely, kind, calm face making sure everything ran smoothly behind the scenes. That night, her and her team packed everything up and brought it to our home. She encouraged my husband and I to just enjoy the rest of the night and do whatever we wanted. I can't say it enough. She is amazing. She is so good at her job! Her price is fair. Her abilities to keep records, maintain budgets, contact vendors, do the work that I didn't want to do, was so, so worth it. I loved having her as my wedding planner and I will always suggest her services.

It only took one meeting for me to know that hiring Amanda was the best decision I would make in the wedding planning process! We moved out of state and still wanted to have our wedding in Iowa, but we had no idea how to start planning a wedding. Amanda has been so helpful in the past 6 months. She has taken all of the stress away and made the planning process so much fun. She even found us a dream venue that we wouldn't have known about without her! She has given me suggestions and options for each decision I have to make with no pressure! She has connections in the wedding industry and knows the best vendors to recommend. I trust her recommendations 100%. My wedding isn't for another 11 months, but I know Amanda is going to make it so stress-free, beautiful, and fun! Amanda is a crazy talented wedding vendor. When I found out her age, I was blown away by her expertise and knowledge of the wedding industry. I am a wedding invitation designer who has participated in many styled shoots with her, so I know how great she is at planning a big event. Her events are absolutely stunning - I always want to design the invitations!

Wow, where do I begin? White Ivy Events was a joy to work with! Amanda at White Ivy Events helped me plan my beautiful wedding in 84 days. (84 days!!) First, Amanda has strong industry connections. She aligned us with excellent, award-winning vendors. Second, Amanda helped us stay on budget. She created a detailed spreadsheet that allowed us to track every purchase. With her strong industry connections, she even saved us money! Finally, Amanda worked at all hours of the day to ensure our wedding vision came to life. She was responsive to all texts and emails, and she frequently checked in with me. Most importantly, Amanda became a friend throughout my wedding planning process. My goal in planning my wedding was to enjoy the process. I can honestly say, that with Amanda's help, I enjoyed every second of the planning process. I am truly sad that it is over! White Ivy Events, Amanda Burrell, was awesome. We came late to the Wedding Planner decision. My son and daughter-in-law live in the Cedar Rapids area and my husband and I live in the Minneapolis area, so I was a little out of the loop on all the preparations. When my daughter-in-law broached the idea, I was all in, and Amanda was a terrific addition. For me specifically, she filled in all the gaps. Amanda talked to all the vendors to make sure everything ran smoothly and everyone was ready to go. One vendor ended up not meeting our expectations, she contacted them and helped us get reimbursed. She worked tirelessly the day of the wedding, and I would recommend her and White Ivy Events to everyone.

Our daughter's wedding ceremony and reception was simply magical!! We were so impressed with Amanda from the get-go. We admired her skill and ability to coordinate every detail with us and all of our vendors. HIGHLY recommend White Ivy Events!Amanda and her team were wonderful to work with and allowed us to enjoy every minute of our big day. I typically am a very organized person with every detail pinned down, but there were definitely items I hadn't thought of yet that were drawn out in the interview processes. It was amazing to know that setup and tear down was taken care of and that my family, friends, and me could enjoy the day without scrambling over these details. I can't say enough great things about Amanda and the White Ivy team! Everything for our wedding day came together seamlessly from the time she took over 6 weeks before our wedding day. In the week leading up to our wedding, she made sure to check in with us and with all our vendors to make sure everyone was on the same page. She always assisted with every last minute crisis and everything I was stressing about, whether that meant calling vendors, taking emergency phone calls from us, or running-last minute errands. For example, our wedding day was very hot, and her and her team put together 400 fans for our guests two days before the wedding to make sure we could still have the outdoor ceremony we had been dreaming of and planning for. She made fantastic suggestions for finishing touches on decor and setup. On my wedding day, I was able to relax and enjoy my day with my bridal party and guests because she took care of everything from set up to tear down. Even our families and bridal party praised her work and professionalism. We both agree that hiring Amanda was the best decision we made for our wedding day!

Amanda and her team were absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. When my wife said we were getting a wedding planner I questioned if we needed one or not; we did! And we chose the perfect planner. If I were ever to get married again, I’d chose Amanda and her team 10/10 times. Great job.

Where do I even begin...?! My husband & I are so thankful we decided to use Amanda with White Ivy to coordinate our wedding. From our first Skype conversation I knew she was going to make our big day and the many months leading up to it stress free! She was prompt when responding to my (many) emails and was always willing to meet up to discuss details and brainstorm ideas. The day of she was a rock star!! From checking in with me in the morning at the salon, to helping get the venue set up and making sure all our vendors knew when and where they needed to be, she was in control and I had peace of mind. She made sure we stuck to our schedule and helped keep me relaxed knowing everything would go smoothly :) We had people coming up to us all night saying how wonderful she was. Amanda, without a doubt, made it possible for our day to go exactly as we'd envisioned it. I can't recommend her, and her team of awesome interns, enough! My husband and I LOVE Amanda! We decided to hire her as a full-service coordinator for our wedding on 4/28, and this was an amazing decision. We worked together for about a year planning our wedding day. Amanda perfectly captured the vision we were working towards for our wedding and executed the day amazingly. She and her team brought amazing ideas to the table and helped sort out my crazy bride brain frequently. She was always excited to hear new plans or ideas and brainstorm with me. I had only lived in Iowa for a few months before starting to plan my wedding here, so I relied heavily on Amanda helping me find and pick vendors. Everyone we partnered with was great. However, if there ever were any minor issues with a vendor- she had no problem stepping up and standing firm for what we wanted. Her team worked very hard on our wedding day and my family didn't have to lift a finger. Amanda truly has a servant's heart and is definitely dedicated to making your wedding day be the best day possible!

Hiring Amanda 3 months into trying to plan my own wedding was one of the best decisions I made. When we had our first scheduled call she was like a saving grace. She was so calm, organized, and sweet. After I hired her anytime I had a panic moment or needed to chat, I just set up a time to chat and she was so helpful through it all. When it got closer, she handled everything so perfectly. I had so many family members, bridesmaids, and other vendors comment to me about how awesome and organized she was.
