Jazmine is a full-time writer, interior stylist, and podcast host of Office Politics. She began writing professionally in 2009. Early in her career, her writing was focused on up-and-coming music artists and sharing commentary on pop-culture. With age, her interests evolved, as did the writing. Today, she mostly pens essays about mental health, professional development, social change, and home decor.
An Atlanta native turned Dallasite, Jazmine currently resides in the Lower Greenville neighborhood with her husband and dog. Outside of work, Jazmine enjoys cycling, true crime podcasts, baking, and beating her husband at Sequence.
Experience
As a child, Jazmine dreamed of writing for GQ, Rolling Stone, or being an E! News correspondent. After beginning her career in public relations and social media, Jazmine quickly realized her heart and talents lied with helping and serving others. She spent nearly five years in human resources and people operations before setting out on her own adventure as a full-time freelancer in 2020.
Since becoming a solo entrepreneur, Jazmine has launched several projects, including a career and self-help podcast, Office Politics, offering online professional development courses and copywriting for several marketing clients. Her goal is to continue her career in digital creation and inspire more women to design and live their version of an inspired life.
Education
Jazmine graduated from Ohio University, where she studied journalism and communication with a specialization in public relations.
During college, Jazmine interned at several public relations agencies in the Dallas area and contributed to media outlets geared toward millennial, collegiate women.
Jazmine held post-graduate fellowships at Match.com as their Marketing and PR summer fellow and at Zeno Group, an Edelman company, as their PR fellow in 2014.
