Bates Barn Wedding Venue

The Bates Barn is located on 15 acres in Southern New Brunswick with a magnificent view of the Belleisle Bay. With seating for 200+ & added space in the Mezzanine overlooking the main floor this 42' X 82' wood structure with its majestic beams provide a rustic yet modern elegant feel for your special day. The main floor offers climate control for comfort as well as a Custom built bar & wheelchair accessible washrooms. On the lower level you will find washrooms, a bridal room & clean-up kitchen. The outdoor ceremony location offers picturesque views of the Bay cable ferry while the outdoor patio provides the perfect outdoor ambiance for guests. Nearby beaches, country roads & old buildings provide the perfect setting for photographs. Camp sites with water & power available for guests.

I attended my nephews wedding there. What a view from the outside on the Belleisle Bay!! The Barn itself, from magnificant. Very spacious and beautiful. The charm of a barn, but with a modern twist.

I attended a wedding at the new Bates Barn the end of September and it was an amazing venue. The atmosphere was perfect. The view is amazing. The outside wedding had the most stunning background of the Water! I would recommend anyone to go here...

The new venue is pretty well perfect, it still has all of the rustic country barn charm, except it is truly a modern venue with everything you could hope for to host a bunch of people: lots of nice tables and chairs, an integrated sound system,...

a drop down projector, tons of refrigerators, a kitchen, lots of bathrooms, a ton of room and a bar. Theres even showers now, which were nice for me and my party because we did some setting up the morning of the wedding and got ready there after we had a quick swim across the road. And the view of the belleisle bay doesnt leave much more to desire.

is outfitted with many of the big ticket items that you could want (fully equipped bar, full kitchen downstairs minus a dishwasher, a projector and large drop down screen for videos or slideshows, a sound system for any music/speeches/announcements) but you will need to supply your own dishes, silverware, etc. What's a wedding without a ton of preparation though? It is an expensive place to rent but the venue itself is gorgeous, especially once it is all done up and decorated. We rented some extra chandeliers from Natasha's Wedding and Events in Saint John that really made our head table shine. Lovely place to have a wedding!

ontacted Janice who responded immediately to our emails. One of the challenges we had was the fact that none of us were local. The groom's family were all on the West Coast and the Bride's family was all on the East Coast. Janice was on spot with all of her recommendations from the wonderful cake, plates & glass rentals to the DJ(who was fantastic by the way). The Barn was everything and more for that night. All of Janice's staff were so helpful and the two mom's who were both stressed from all the work they both had put in for the last year saw it all being paid off with the staff and Janice's help. It was a wonderful night and the Barn was and is a memory that will bring smiles to the faces of all who attended. We all could not recommended this venue enough.

so intimate (and climate controlled), beautiful and elegant. Our guests said nothing but positive things and we couldn't be happier to have been married there.
