in her studio was incredibly helpful to narrow down how we wanted each piece to look. The bouquets were stunning and the clusters of flowers at each table were understated in size but very vibrant in color which is what we wanted. The burgundy and wine color of the dahlia's played so nicely off of our very classic all white accessories. Others have mentioned an "organic feel" and I 100% agree - the flowers did not look like the cookie-cutter bouquets you typically see, but you can tell each flower was carefully chosen to create a unique look. Julie was great about working with our budget and the flower delivery on the day-of went off without a hitch. Even almost a month later, I am still dreaming of those flowers and how they completed the design details of the day. Thank you Julie & team for everything, it was wonderful working with you!

On the day of, we were blown away -- I hadn't even walked down the aisle and was getting requests for the florist's contact info. The bouquets were even more beautiful than the inspo (starring a gorgeous pale pink dahlia the size of a plate!) and the balance of flowers, greenery, and herbs throughout our greenhouse wedding was a work of art. We are so happy we had the chance to work with Julie and would do so again in a heartbeat, she is truly kind and talented.

Bittersweet Gardens use of local and season-specific flowers was wonderful and I gasped when I first saw our bouquets. From our ceremony arbor to our centerpieces and the tablescape for farm tables that ran through the center of our reception room, Julie’s attention to detail shined and she and her team created exactly the casually elegant aesthetic we were looking for. Bittersweet gardens was definitely one of our most prized vendors and we would suggest them to anyone!

ng - really, they over-delivered. Amazing! We got so many compliments on the flowers from our family and guests. Truthfully, I am not a "design" bride - I work full time and really had no idea what I was doing. I sent her a few pictures I liked and trusted her to make it gorgeous and she did! Some other stuff - Julie was prompt in both communications before the wedding and wedding day. Some florists I looked at took 2-4 days to respond when Julie took a couple hours. Love that! And price-wise, her much more beautiful estimate with photos was on point, fairly priced, honestly priced, and worth the investment. I hope Bittersweet Gardens is still around when we celebrate our 5 or 10 year anniversary so I can work with them again :-)

She also drove over to where my husband was getting ready with his groomsmen. They weren't dressed just yet, as we they were waiting for the photographer and videographer to get there. So she simply pinned the boutonnieres right onto their jackets. The floral arrangements for the outside ceremony as well as inside the venue were literally perfect, they were exactly what I imagined. It was the best decision. My bouquet was dropped off early the day of the wedding for pictures and I was practically in tears at how beautiful it was. Julie took what little I gave her and did amazing things. Plus, she's a blast to work with and talk to which made the whole process so much easier!

that we decided on for our wedding. Starting with an initial meeting, I had several sessions with her throughout the process as well as many email exchanges. Julie was really great to work with over our months of planning. I changed my mind a lot in the first few months of planning, but she was always patient, supportive and accommodating. Once I decided on an overall look, she had great advice about what would be in season and what flowers would work the best for our outdoor setting. Julie also had great advice about other wedding details and even helped us find our day-of planner. Our vision for our floral presentation had several different elements which Julie pulled together so beautifully. We wanted two different aesthetics - romantic/classic/rustic flowers with shades of white, pale blush and green for the ceremony and then bright/fun colors for the reception. This probably wasn’t the easiest plan to work with since it required a wide variety of flowers, but Julie made it all work. Everything looked so beautiful and exactly how I had imagined! My now husband wanted to incorporate his love of fishing into the wedding by adding actual fishing lures to the boutonnieres. They turned out so well and were a big hit with guests! We really appreciated that she was game to add something non-traditional to the floral design. Julie was a pleasure to work with and made the whole process so much fun! I would absolutely recommend Bittersweet Gardens.

Her flowers, many of which she has carefully chosen seeds/bulbs for before planting season, tenderly planted and grown on her own in the months before the wedding were stunning and healthy. She set up a birch huppa that her husband built and put both my husband and my favorite flowers into the archways so that we could stand together under our favorite flowers as we said our vows. I wanted to incorporate seaglass into my table decorations and she helped me come up with the idea to do tall glass vases filled with seaglass, water and floating candles to accent my floral centerpieces. She is one of the most talented and artistic people I have meant, and if you want to choose someone who knows the inside and outside of flowers and how to make her clients happy, then choose Bittersweet Gardens!

I had an autumn evening vintage wedding vibe, and when I saw my bouquet, table setting, boutonnieres - you name it, it looked better than I could have ever imagined! I had so many guests ask me who my florist was! It looked like it came straight out of a magazine. I kept the left over table bouquets in my house for WEEKS. The quality was impeccable. She curated them perfectly with the vintage books I had laying on each table. When I reminisce back on my wedding day, the flowers always make me smile. Highly HIGHLY recommend Bittersweet Gardens!

to produce and create something pleasing. Well, Julie from Bittersweet Gardens did just that........and her creations were breathtaking. From the first contact with Julie, she was like an old friend, trying to be helpful and available in any way possible. Her proposal was prompt and within our budget and she "tweaked" it so many times throughout the planning process. She traveled quite a distance to meet with us as the date drew nearer and made discrete suggestions based upon our conversations. We knew then she knew her business and would customize a masterpiece of florals to suit our tastes, colors and needs. The wedding was in Boston in the evening and the delivery process was quite challenging for her. She went out of her way to make drop offs to three different locations........braving traffic and congestion and the inability to even stop the car long enough to pass on the flowers. One vendor (a personal friend) declined to do our flowers when she realized the difficulty of navigating Boston on a weekend night. We couldn't have been more pleased with the final product, but just as important, we couldn't have been more comfortable with the process. Julie was available and instilled a sense of confidence in all of us through the whole process. Once we signed on with her, we knew she took pride in her artistry, went out of her way to please us, would provide personalized service, and would deliver an array of florals to make our wedding more than we'd imagined. I might add that my daughter's color scheme was different and challenging, but Julie made it happen and we are one happy bride, groom, and parents.

esign. Since I was little gardening and flowers have always been something my mother and I enjoyed together, and we both loved gushing over floral possibilities with Julie. She was flexible with our ideas as they sprung up, and was able to quickly incorporate new ideas into her plans. The end result was phenomenal. Somehow every idea for how I wanted my florals to look, Julie was able to execute on our wedding day. The colors were perfect and she created the natural, yet lush, look I was going for- lots of fresh greens with pops of color. I loved my bouquet and was blown away by all the floral arrangements for both the ceremony and the reception. All this at a very reasonable price. I only wish the flowers could have all lasted forever! I hope I host another event in the future that needs florals just so I can work with Julie again.
