Chez allows your favorite vendors to come into the space, ensuring that your wedding preferences are catered to. Whether it is a rustic wedding or a winter celebration, the team at Chez is happy to work with you to transform the space into a beautiful area for your happy occasion. At Chez, a private wedding suite is available for you to prepare for your celebrations. It is fully equipped with a powder room, a make-up counter, and a large mirror. For your ceremony and reception, clear ghost chairs are provided for all guests and an assortment of table options and additional furniture is available. The venue is pet-friendly, ensuring that your beloved pets can be present with you on your wedding day. At the end of the night, the Chez team will also be happy to take care of cleaning up the area. The Chez venue is wheelchair accessible, with elevators fully serviced by a facilities liaison. Discounted parking at Erie Ontario Garage and valet service from Five Start Valet is available.

Hosting our wedding at Chez was such a pleasure! It's a blank canvas waiting for you to design your dream wedding! Our vision was to have a sleek, chic, classy, minimal wedding in the city and Chez was the perfect venue for that! We partnered also with Deborah and her team at Art of Imagination - and this was one of the key components to our whole day. The relationship between Maricar (Chez venue coordinator) and Deborah (Creative Director AOI) is top-notch and it makes the planning process pretty seamless 🙌 (I would also like to note that having the tables and chairs is such a bonus at a venue in Chicago. Not all venues offer this, and most of the time you are required to rent tables/chairs at an additional cost, but having it built-in to the package at Chez was such a selling point for us!) Wedding rehearsal/ Wedding day: The days leading up to our wedding & our actual wedding day couldn't have been more perfect Since there was no wedding at Chez the day before our wedding, Maricar allowed us host our rehearsal practice at the venue which was such a treat - because to our surprise, the team at Art of Imagination had already started setting up and decorating our venue so we got a small taste of our wedding vision coming to life! We had an excellent rehearsal and we were able to give our family and friends a tour and sneak-peek of the venue which made everything flow so nicely on the wedding day. Our wedding day was a dream come true and we're very happy to have hosted our wedding at Chez! The building has such a cool history and our guests really enjoyed the space! The bridal suite upstairs was a perfect space for what we needed. My dress had some fitting issues and we were able to escape to this room and fix it privately without any of our guests knowing. My husband and I visited 3 other venues before we walked into Chez. As soon as we walked in, we knew this venue was perfect for our wedding. The space is elegant and it truly lends itself to any style or theme. The venue manager, Maricar, was a pleasure to work with. She was helpful and was always available through text or phone.

My husband and I are so happy that we had our wedding ceremony and reception at Chez. The space is a blank canvas and really allowed us to create the wedding of our dreams. Lauren was lovely to work with and was there for us every step of the way. Our guests raved about our venue and its location. Just for reference: we arranged for our guests to stay at the Sheraton Grand Hotel which is just a couple of blocks away.

My husband and I got married there this past April and it was phenomenal. It is a big beautiful blank canvas to create YOUR special day. Lauren and McKenna assisted us throughout the entire process and honestly that’s one of the many reasons we went with Chez. Both of them are so nice and extremely helpful! They were organized and made the day incredibly smooth. With them, it IS possible to have a perfect day! People are still asking how did we find such a gem!!

We chose Chez to be our wedding reception location in June 2018 and booked it during summer of 2017. The online scheduler to view the place was super convenient! The place is breathtaking, and ceilings are very high. Additionally, it is located close to Michigan avenue. With majority of our guests being out of town, this was a huge plus! Chez is a like a white canvas, you can make whatever you want of it. Due to the recommendations from our designers, we decided to use lights as our main form of décor, and it worked like a charm. Chez accommodated all of our needs and was one of the few places that was willing to be open till 2am if we needed it (we used it till 1am). The rental also included beautiful ghost chairs and large rectangular tables. The staircase provides a different touch from the rest of the places we saw, and we got to make a grand entrance walking down. The views from up there are also amazing as you can get a bird’s eye view of the place. Lauren was of great help. She was very open to our ideas and always open to accommodate anything we needed. She also made herself and the place available whenever we needed to come by and see the place or show the place to our family and friends (which was a few times throughout the year). Her communications were prompt. She helped make our reception go smoothly.

Chez was one of the first locations we checked out when we went venue hunting. The photos online looked beautiful, but the moment we walked in and saw it with our own eyes, we knew it was the one. We loved how white and clean it looked, and how versatile the space was. That gorgeous staircase is also what sold us. We worked closely with Lauren throughout the planning process. During the final walk through, she made sure every small detail was taken care of, including providing parking validations for our guests. We also met McKenna that day, who had just recently joined the team, and she was extremely helpful as well, especially on the day of the wedding, making sure things were running smoothly. As the bride, I felt at ease knowing that things were in good hands. All in all, they were great to work with and took care of everything for us. We had so many guests tell us how beautiful the wedding was! Couldn't recommend Chez more!

We couldn’t be more pleased with our wedding venue “Chez”! From day one, we knew that Chez was the venue to make our dream wedding become our reality. McKenna and Lauren worked with my wedding planner to make sure my guest count was accommodated. They were flexible the complete journey and with every idea we had. They did everything they can do to make it possible in Chez. The venue is beyond beautiful, but having a beautiful customer friendly staff makes the venue AMAZING!!!

We loved every moment of our wedding reception at Chez! Lauren was wonderful to work with - from the moment we met with her she answered all of our questions, met with us initially at the venue, and continued to be prompt via email leading up to the day of the event. She had recommendations for many vendors as well. We were put in contact with another coordinator, McKenna, who helped with details closer to the wedding. The event was beautiful, we had no issues, and we are very happy with everything!

The most amazing event space ever! Lauren Smith and the Chez team were extremely professional and dedicated to making our wedding seamless and extraordinary. They went above and beyond and helped make the planning process a breeze! The space itself is gorgeous and lends itself to mesh well with any type of decor or theme you'd want to have. The tall windows, dramatic glass staircase, impeccable bathrooms, and large space for ceremony/reception/dancing all lend themselves to create a chic and awe-inspiring event. We were so lucky to stumble upon Chez, we absolutely loved having our wedding there!

We had our wedding reception at Chez and it was absolutely perfect! The space is beautiful, with really cool stairs which were lots of fun for pictures! Chez is such a great space for creating your vision; it can really morph into whatever you want it to be with some decorations and the appropriate lighting. Plus, because Chez is a BYOB venue, we were able to work with Prestige Liquors to save a TON on alcohol, compared to all-in-one venues. There was some issue apparently with one of the sinks in the bathrooms during the evening, but we were warned about it and there were additional bathrooms available within the venue for those who could do stairs. We worked extensively with Lauren Smith at Chez, and she was an absolute delight to work with. She was responsive via email and text, and sensitive to our unique needs in terms of loading in and out decorations, given that we were having a wedding in Chicago while living out of state. She even Skyped with us so we could see the venue since we were unable to come in in person initially. In general, the staff at Chez was great and we would highly recommend Chez as your wedding reception venue!

My husband and I had our wedding at Chez last October, and we couldn't have asked for a better venue! The space is beautiful and allowed us to have the elegant, intimate wedding we were looking for. The staff was so incredibly friendly and helpful; they are a big part of the reason we chose Chez over other venues. Lauren answered all of our questions and was super helpful throughout the planning process. We had so many compliments from guests; we know we picked the right place!

We recently got married at Chez, and all I have to say is WOW. It is an incredible venue! Our vision came to life here and we really were able to celebrate our dream wedding. We found that most of the loft venues in Chicago had a rustic/vintage vibe to it. It was pretty, but not our style. We really wanted a modern wedding that was also somewhat minimalist. Chez fit the bill perfectly. The lights, the windows, the tall ceilings - just so beautiful! Our guests also loved the venue and really enjoyed that it was so unique. We worked with both Laura and Kristie, and both were super helpful throughout the planning process. The venue also includes tables, chairs, and highboy/cabaret tables. It was also really important for my hubby and I to have our little dog as part of the ceremony (he was our ring boy). Chez was more than willing to accommodate for him, and even allowed him to come in the day before for the rehearsal (so he could practice also!). I seriously could not recommend this venue more.

I am a Wedding Planner with Storybook Weddings and Events here in Chicago, and I had the pleasure of having a wedding at Chez last month. First of all, the space itself is a wonderful place to have a private event or wedding. It is clean and set up nicely. And the best feature is that is all white, which makes it an easy space to work with when it comes to decor. We had Kehoe work it's magic and they totally transformed the space to the couple's vision. And not only is the actual space great, but their team is equally amazing. I worked with Lauren and Kristie during the planning process, and everything was executed wonderfully on the couple's wedding day. Lauren and Kristie are very quick to respond to your questions and have very calm energies... they are pros and they know what works best in the space. Thank you for all of your help, ladies! I highly recommend checking out Chez to host your next private event, whether it is social or corporate :)

If you're looking for an elegant, one of a kind wedding venue in Chicago, Chez may just be the perfect place for you. Upon our first tour I was blown away by the high ceilings, stunning drapes and awe inspiring staircase. Without a doubt, Chez is one of the most beautiful venues in Chicago. I also loved the history of the space, and how they made a point to share it - having housed performances of top singers like Frank Sinatra! Also, compared to other places I had seen, it was obvious whoever designed it had the renter in mind. The bridal suite was elegant and comfortable. The bathrooms were finished with excellent style. The place screams sophistication, which is exactly what I wanted for my wedding. Over all I had a great experience working with Chez - even given my contact changed half way through my engagement. Christine was such a delight, but Louise picked up where she left off and made a point to be well informed of everything we had initially discussed. Louise was so accommodating - we were having a piano delivered and it was going to cost extra to have it moved the same night as the wedding, so Louise let us have it be picked up first thing the next morning. Also, my husband insisted on a rehearsal in the space, and although it wasn't initially promised, Louise let us use the space the night before. Truly - Chez made my wedding dreams come true!

After our original wedding venue cancelled on us 5 weeks from our wedding, we found Chez and it turned out to be our perfect venue. During our first walk through, they were finishing up construction, but even then I knew it was exactly what I was looking for – modern, light, and just a beautiful space. We had both our ceremony and reception at Chez and it was a perfect size for our wedding of 115 guest. Chez can be transformed in an infinite number of ways in terms of how the space is divided (ceremony, reception, dance floor, cocktail area, etc) and also in terms of the atmosphere (lighting, draping, etc). In addition to the aesthetic appeal, functionally it is an amazing venue. The restrooms are beautiful and there are plenty of them. There is a gorgeous, private bridal suite for the bridal party to get ready in, relax, or secure personal belongings. It is in a fantastically convenient location – easily accessibly to public transportation, hotels, and cabs. On top of that, the Chez team is wonderful. We worked with Christine Breakey and she could not have been nicer or more accommodating. It was such a dream to find Chez after the nightmare of our original venue. I have nothing but beautiful memories and positive things to say about Chez!

I found Chez online when I was searching for a wedding venue. We were initially drawn to the space because of it's history and clean sleek lines. I scheduled a trip to see the space with my fiance and Christine showed us through on a "hard hat" tour. I absolutely fell in love at first site - before they added all the beautiful finishes! Our wedding was on the small side (60 guests) and non-traditional/modern. We didn't have anyone sit for the ceremony (as it lasted about 5 minutes) but transformed the staircase into a lovely backdrop with flowers. Chez truly is a blank canvas - Christine and the vendors she put me in touch with (Dilly Lily, Food for Thought and Art of Imagination) helped me accomplish every detail of my modern vision (and Christine helped persuade my traditional mom as well). I had a wonderful experience there and the best day of my life so far! Thank you so much to Chez!
