We hired Daniel Michael Photography for our September wedding in Cincinnati. I picked them after reading the many great reviews of the studio on The Knot and WeddingWire. I'm so glad I listened!
Don Schvart was our photographer. I give him 100... out of 10. We cannot say enough about him. He is incredible. Don is so talented—a true artist. Apart from his skill, Don was also super easy and great to work with. He has a great personality, and we had a lot of fun with him. We first met him for our engagement photo shoot, which turned out beautiful.
On our big day, Don led the show. He arrived with a second photographer, who was also great, and an assistant. Don was so organized and professional. He knows exactly what he is doing. We had some slight hiccups in our original timeline because I am always late with everything. Don knew exactly how to handle everything, and didn’t even blink an eye. Our wedding photos turned out PERFECT. I could not have asked for better photos, and we received many compliments on them. We will cherish them forever. Don even stayed up late after our wedding (which ended after midnight) to edit and send us an amazing photo that we could post the next day. He probably stayed up well into the early morning hours doing that, just for us. We also got the rest of our photos back pretty quickly, which was really nice because we are pretty impatient people :)
I truly believe the photographer is the most important vendor on your wedding day. Don exceeded every expectation we had. My only other advice is to hire him.
I also want to give a special shout out to Don’s assistant- Logan. She was amazing and also so necessary! Don mentioned he would have a photographer’s assistant with him on our big day, but I had no idea how much we would need her until the day of. She was literally a life-saver so many times. My mom, bridesmaids, and I all LOVED HER. Logan knew how to do anything wedding-wise, such as help hold my train, put my veil in, fix my hair, do my bustle, etc. She was such a calming, awesome person to have there. At one point, I had a huge headache and my back hurt from my dress—in comes Logan with a huge box of medicine and supplies to save the day! I popped some medicine and was good as new! She even carried a fan with her so that we wouldn’t sweat during our wedding photos in the scorching heat that day! Thank you Logan!
Our entire experience with Daniel Michael Photography was impeccable. If you're reading this review still spending countless hours looking for a wedding photographer--give yourself a nice pat on the back and a glass of champagne because you can stop looking now!
