I have to add, finally, that I began the wedding planning process convinced that we couldn’t afford a planner and had resolved to plan it all myself. After a long engagement made longer by a COVID postponement, I can honestly say I couldn’t have pulled it off in the end without Rachel. Her input and advice, her wisdom and experience were ultimately what made our wedding even better than we could have dreamed! Our wedding guardian angel!

We booked our wedding at a high-touch venue, and as such, they told us their couples really don't need planners, because the venue coordinator is deeply involved in the planning process and all over the logistics. My gut told me that having a planner dedicated to our wedding would help remove stress from what was sure to be an incredibly stressful process, but I wasn't sure whether I wanted to allocate some of my precious budget to it. Especially since I had a fairly clear vision of what I'd like the wedding design to look like, and I have a pretty Type-A, control-freak personality myself. In the end, we decided we wanted the security blanket and found a way to make it work. And let me tell you, it was worth every penny. Rachel was an absolute pro from the start -- and an invaluable resource as we worked to reschedule our wedding during COVID. Any doubts I had about whether a planner was worth the money were put firmly to bed about 4 weeks out from the wedding, when I realized just how much Rachel had been doing behind the scenes and how all the little pieces she had discussed with me over the years were coming together. Our venue and coordinator were amazing, to be sure, but Rachel is the sole reason our wedding was the breathtakingly beautiful, cohesive event that it was. I had no idea just how many elements go into designing a wedding, and I could have never identified all of them myself or selected the right pieces to make it all come together. And neither will your venue coordinator -- they don't really get involved with design. Rachel, however, understood and expanded upon the vision we had shared with her in our very first meeting and worked tirelessly for 1+ years to conceptualize, source and execute on every last detail. She kept me intimately involved in the process when I wanted -- a true partner who brought ideas to the table often for me to weigh in on and select my favorites, as well as a real professional who guided us on areas to invest in for maximum impact vs. areas to go with more budget-friendly options -- but when I got overwhelmed and underwater at work, she just ran with things and only came to us for final review and approval. She worked so unbelievably hard in service of our special day, and the final result was beyond what we could have ever hoped for. Not only did it look unbelievable, it felt magical. Every tradition we wanted incorporated and all the feelings we described to her that we wanted to feel were there in spades, and the flow of the day was positively flawless. Rachel will take your vision -- whether you have a strong one or none at all -- and make it ALL come together through high impact design pieces as well as a million tiny and thoughtful details that make all the difference. I promise you will not regret investing in her incredible talents.

I'll start of by saying that I am a wedding vendor myself and have seen countless amount of weddings, but when it came down to my own wedding planning, I knew that I wanted it to be perfect in MY own way. After having worked with Rachel a few times in the past and seeing the quality of her work and her professionalism, I knew she would be the one I wanted to work with on my wedding day! Rachel and I sat down to talk about what was important to my husband and I on our wedding day and I explained to Rachel that we are both Armenian and come from a culturally rich background. I wanted to keep our heritage and culture fully present throughout our wedding, but wanted to tie in classic and modern flare. We discussed what our dream wedding would look like (if money wasn't a factor) and shared some inspiration photos with her. Soon after, Rachel came up with an incredibly beautiful vision board with all the romantic colors, floral inspiration, and design elements that we had discussed, that all fit within our budget. It really meant the world to me that she listened to exactly what we had discussed and designed a plan perfectly in line with the cultural aspects of our wedding while adding a very romantic and timeless flare. Throughout the process, Rachel always kept me in check with finances, timelines and scheduling. She has a very keen eye for aesthetics and I can be a pretty indecisive person, so I REALLY appreciated Rachel's honesty when I would show her something I thought I liked and she explained that it might not fit well with our aesthetic and design. For example, in the floral arrangements of dozens of different flowers, there was one specific flower type that she thought did not fit with the overall aesthetic of our wedding- something so small that makes such a big difference to the complete vision. That's Rachel. I loved that I could trust her to give me her professional opinion! Rachel also quite literally saved our wedding day! Before I hired Rachel for our wedding day, I was already in the works with a florist who was a previous acquaintance. But 12 days before our wedding, the florist dropped out without an explanation or apology! Rachel and I scrambled to find a florist that would work with us, our vision and our budget and thanks to Rachel's help we had secured our DREAM florist in under 24 hours!! I was ecstatic! On our wedding day, Rachel was extremely organized, happy and calm- EXACTLY what I wanted and needed. During the cocktail hour, we were able to sneak away to get a first look at what the reception looked like. When we walked in , my jaw dropped, tears started to flow and all I could do was turn around and hug Rachel. Everything we had talked about and dreamed about was right before our eyes! She did it- she made our vision come to life! Some people may think that hiring a wedding planner is a luxury, but I will tell you now that my money wouldn't have reached as far as it did if it wasn't for Rachel and her expertise. She kept me calm the entire day of the wedding which is a project on its own (especially given the fact that it poured), she was so attentive to every detail (even creating individual timelines for everybody in the wedding party), and she managed the vendors like a champion ensuring everyone was on time, in place and following the timeline. One of the best examples of her attention to detail was my husbands tuxedo jacket. We wore ivory jackets during dinner and his boutonniere broke and he got a stain on his jacket before we made our way around to the tables to address our guests. Within minutes Rachel snatched his jacket, replaced his boutonnière with one of the extras we had made (for this reason) and was able to get the stain out of his jacket. In addition, I had asked Rachel to manage our time throughout the night so we could make our way around to every table without spending our entire night doing so. She traveled with us from table to table handling our time so we were never stuck for too long and were able to greet every table during dinner. All in all, Rachel is phenomenal. She knows what she’s doing, is extremely organized, is prepared for any and all possible situations, has contacts with EVERY kind of vendor and is just so easy and pleasant to work with. Truth be told, before walking my mom down the aisle, I gave Rachel a hug because of how flawless everything was going. If you have any question about hiring a coordinator, stop. It’s the best use of your wedding budget and will truly let you enjoy your day. If you’re looking into who would be the best fit for your big day — you’ve 100% found your person. Rachel was absolutely amazing and I couldn’t possibly recommend her more. I feel as though I have extremely high expectations and she blew me away. Aside from the obvious benefits of a wedding planner (negotiating vendor contracts, scheduling timelines, etc.), I needed someone with design talent to draw inspiration from my vague semblance of a vision and somehow bring it to life.
