She asks good questions (not only about music) that help her draw on her deep and varied musical knowledge to make recommendations that fit perfectly. And, when we said we wanted a cocktail hour with Bossa nova, smooth jazz, and a little Jawaiian reggae that feels like you're at an upscale restaurant, she took it in stride, shared in our vision and ran with it. And, when we were indecisive, Jodi knew just how to help us come to decisions and pick which ones were worth the extra attention. The results were perfect - all our guests and catering staff were dancing all night long, as Jodi took us from pre-ceremony, through cocktail to dinner, dancing and the party. When we decided to get married the following year, and decided to celebrate at the same venue as that 2023 wedding, it was a no-brainer that we'd try to book Hennah as our DJ. Fortunately she was available, and even more fortunate for us, her boss DJ Jodi turned out to be an incredible help planning the wedding - and not just the music; Jodi's questions about the sequencing of the evening forced us to get our plans in order down to specific details - because the musical cues depend on those details! Jodi and Hennah's flexibility and communication during the planning phase was very appreciated as we took a pretty non-traditional approach to our wedding. They helped us hit those notes we were looking for outside the typical mold. We appreciated being able to dump a long list of our favorite artists and trusting Hennah to sculpt it into a reasonable playlist for the night. And as a bonus, Hennah loved a lot of the same music as us and said she had a blast playing some of her music for us! We requested to start the night with family wedding favorites and transition to fun dance/club and top 40 vibes. She provided exactly what we wanted and more. We made specific requests about the flow of the evening and she delivered. She MC’ed only when needed and it was perfect. We wish DJ XO was the DJ at every wedding we go to! She also DJ’d our welcome dinner Friday night which added the perfect ambiance. She sent us recorded copies of all of our speeches and our vows. bsolutely incredible. Though she wasn't the DJ at our event, Jodi worked with us for an entire year leading up to the date itself, helping us plan and prepare for our reception. Jodi's attention to detail and organizational skills are superb. She appreciated our vision for a non-traditional reception and had great ideas that helped make our night seamless and stress-free. She worked with all of our other vendors and was responsible for a really cohesive vision for the night. My husband and I felt zero stress going into the night knowing that Jodi had taken care to map out the night so that we could sit back and enjoy it. The reception itself was DJ'd by Hennah and Lauren, who I cannot recommend enough. Lauren was the MC for the night and kept everything flowing, from the speeches and toasts to the quick change between our cocktail hour and main reception. She also kept my husband and I in the loop between segments so we knew when to speak and what sort of things to say. She has a great calm demeanor that put us at ease, and though she made periodic announcements when needed, she and Hennah did a great job of withdrawing to the background so the music could be the focus and the guests could enjoy the night. Hennah was our incredible DJ. Each part of our night had the perfect music to accompany it, with lowkey indie/alternative music during our cocktail hour, softer R&B and pop music during the dinner portion, and then the perfect dance songs later in the night. Hennah is really great at reading a crowd and knowing what sort of music to play to draw them out and keep them enjoying themselves while still taking into account the couple's preferences. There was not a single song choice that fell flat. Hennah had no trouble getting guests to dance, and almost all of our guests ended up on the dance floor for most of the night, something I'd never seen at a wedding before. We had so much fun dancing that guests were chanting for an encore after the final song, which Hennah generously gave us. All of our vendors were amazing, but I have no doubt that working with DJE was what made our night the blast it was. Without Jodi, Lauren, and Hennah, the experience would've been altogether different. Afterward, multiple guests reached out to say that Hennah and Lauren were the best DJs at any wedding they'd ever been to, and among my friends and family we still, 5 months later, regularly talk about how great they were. I'm so grateful to DJs Jodi, Hennah, and Lauren for helping to create the most fun and amazing experience. Booking DJE for our event was the single best decision we made. I'd give them more than 5 stars if I could. Thanks for everything Jodi, Hennah, and Lauren. You guys are incredible!

Our guests still talk about what a great time they had even now months later and how it was one of the best weddings they've ever been to.
