Catherine was absolutely amazing to work with! She was able to help me find the perfect dress based on the very few details I shared of the vision I had for my wedding day. She was able to work within my budget and helped me find all of the accessories as well! I strongly suggest anyone looking for a bridal gown to visit the Westfield store - it is beautiful there and exactly the scene you picture when looking for your wedding dress! Alterations were spectacular as well!!
My bridal experience at Exquisite Bride was wonderful! After having a terrible experience at a different bridal salon earlier in the day, I was not in any mood to continue my search. But the minute I walked into the doors at Exquisite Bride my mood immediately changed. The salon is absolutely breathtaking! Christina was wonderful to work with. She was very personable and turned my entire day around. The first dress she pulled for me to try on was the dress of my dreams. Christina listened to what I liked and found it right away. I found the dress of my dreams at Exquisite Bride all because of Christina!
As Mother of the Bride, I was thrilled with my "chill" daughter who had a vision for herself, but was very easy about everything else. EB managed to stress her to the max at the eleventh hour and make her lead up to the wedding very unpleasant. Daughter ordered the dress (midline pricepoint , just under $5000) 13 months in advance with the understanding that they would be able to create the alencon lace top she wanted attached. They showed her a top that was done in house and it looked good. When the dress came in, they were not able to have her come for a fitting for a full month. A top was "designed" and I use that term loosely by the seamstress, Luciana. We returned another two times with the last "fitting" just days before the destination wedding. This because Lucy's schedule was so full that we had to wait for 2 weeks between fittings and was also due to the fact that my daughter had to come out from Manhattan for fittings and was not available for weeknight fittings. Now we are days before the wedding, come in for the last try on with the piece attached to the dress and the top piece is dreadful--puckers all along the back, sleeves inserted into the armholes so badly that my daughter cannot lift her arms past her shoulders, awful neckline, attached to the dress lopsided, sleeves are now shorter than the bride wants! We left the place with my daughter in tears--her words to me the next day were "it looks like a home ec project gone horribly wrong" and I had to agree with her. After pointing out all the problems, we were told to return on Tuesday and it would be fixed--this was literally the night before we were leaving for the destination wedding! It was slightly adjusted but still awful. They had to do additional adjustments while we waited, stressing over the fact that we had packing to do before take off in the morning. Honestly, the unpleasantness and unnecessary upset was terrible. I'm not sure if the alterations people are unskilled or if they are overburdened and can't do the job due to lack of time but whatever the case, this is not the situation you want for your bride. Very disappointed.
I had an amazing experience at Exquisite Bride! From the time of my first appointment with Christina, Christina put me at ease and was extremely patient and helpful as I searched for a dress that would be a bit different than the 'norm.' The appointment that I had at this salon was a bit last minute and I never intended to find my dress on this day, but Christina helped to point me in the direction of the designed Victor Harper and I fell in love with the dress that I ultimately ended up purchasing.
From the time I ordered my dress, until my wedding day, I had a very positive experience. My dress came in about 3.5 months before my wedding and the salon was very efficient about contacting me and scheduling fitting appointments. The alterations we done beautifully as well- my dress was very fitted and the size that was ordered was nearly double my street-clothes size, therefore the dress was a bit large when it came in but after all of the alterations, it fit like a glove!!
All of the staff were so kind and extremely helpful, I would definitely recommend this salon to other brides!
I went to Exquisite Bridal in December 2013 with my Mom in hopes of finding my gown. We had spent Christmas week going to appointments, sometimes a few a day, looking for my perfect dress! Having been born and raised in New Jersey, and recently moving to Virginia Beach to start my life with my now husband, I had gone home for the holidays and wanted to use my time off to my advantage and go to as many stores as I could in NJ! I had an amazing time dress shopping with my Mom! Trying on gowns was SO much fun and we kept it stress free and "we'll find it when we find it!"
Christina was absolutely amazing at Exquisite. We told her our budget and she was respectful and professional the whole time. They have a beautiful selection for any budget and we went the Sample gown route. I ended up purchasing a beautiful Peter Langer Sample gown. Christina felt comfortable in selling it to me as it was in perfect shape (no marks or rips) and she was honest in saying she hadn't thought anyone had tried it on! The material and quality of the Italian designer is hands down perfect. I put it on, cried, and we popped champagne!
I ended up taking my gown back to VA Beach, because of convenience, but if I have ONE REGRET it's that. I'm not going to get into it... The woman that does alterations for Exquisite's sample gowns, Sylvia, is AMAZING. She altered my Mom's MOB gown, a David Meister stunner, and is a seamstress queen.
On my wedding day I couldn't imagine wearing anything but my gown and am so happy with Exquisite's customer service, professionalism, and beautiful, clean store!
The Knot cut my review short. My FULL review can be found here: http://bit.ly/1vypp0H
In search of a Lazaro gown from 2012, I called every retailer in NJ who carried the brand hoping against hope I'd be able to track this dress down, but to no avail. A woman named Sophia at Exquisite Bridal (in Millburn at the time) was particularly helpful in giving me advice for finding the dress, and suggested I visit their shop if I decided not to go with that particular gown.
After a LOT of issues in attempting to go to NYC to Kleinfields to get my original pick, I ended up attempting to call EB again, remembering Sophia's kindness when I'd called a few weeks earlier. She remembered me from my initial phone call, and my desire for the Lazaro dress.
Knowing that was the style I wanted, she helped me find similar styled gowns. It was here I found EUGENIE by Lea Ann Belter. The dress was quite similar to the original Lazaro gown I wanted. When Sophia found a veil that matched and put it atop my head, I started crying like a baby. My family isn't emotional, so it was nothing like TV -- in fact, they told me not to get upset (as if I wasn't crying HAPPY tears!) *sigh* Anyway...
Sophia was my Godsend that day, a true sweetheart. My mom liked her so much she wants me to name my first daughter Sophia after her! My seamstress (alterations included in the price of the gown) was EQUALLY wonderful -- she customized an alternate version of a less expensive veil (the original one Sophia put on me was $900!) which looked beautiful on my big day! I have had total strangers comment on friends and family members' Facebook posts of my dress about how gorgeous it was -- and the veil too! I KNEW I'd made the right choice. Even my mom and aunt and sister agreed that the dress was just perfection once it was tailored to fit me. I could not have asked for a better experience!
Thank you Sophia and Exquisite Bridal!
I had a wonderful experience with Exquisite Bride. The staff was always incredibly friendly and helpful (especially Evelyn and Christina) and I never felt pressured in any way throughout the entire shopping and alterations experience. The dress came in on time and I really appreciated their help ordering extra matching lace to make cap sleeves. The seamstress, Laurinda was talented and patient - she transformed the dress from something beautiful to something spectacular and oh so classy.
One thing that made Exquisite Bride stand apart from other bridal salons in my opinion was the way they display their dresses. Instead of having to sift through hundreds of dresses in plastic bags (which frankly, make them all look the same), they had a beautiful back room with each sample dress on hangers. (Not to mention the gowns on special display throughout the store.) I was able to walk around and look at each dress, touch it, etc. I felt like I had such a good clear idea of the selection and that ultimately made me feel much better about my choice.
The day I tried on my dress at Exquisite Bride was magical and one I will always remember. My only issues were that I had 3 fittings before the wedding and the extra sleeves that were made still did not fit the day of the wedding and I could not wear them - a waste of expensive fabric we had to purchase.
I purchased my dress from Exquisite Bride and it was designed by Sareh Nouri. The gown was absolutely beautiful with a hand beaded corset and tool skirt. The color was ivory. The people at Exquisite Bride were so easy to work with and the tailor, Laurinda does incredible work. She knew what I wanted fixed and how to fix it so effortlessly. I would recommend this shop to anyone and everyone!
I had a wonderful experience at Exquisite Bride. They have a gorgeous selection of dresses. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that after I picked my dress, that the consultant I was working with was also the designer (Sareh Nouri)! I ended up making a few changes to the dress (adding straps, putting lace on the hem) so it was very reassuring to have the actual designer there while I discussed those changes. All the alterations were expertly done and the dress fit beautifully on my wedding day.
I tried on about 1000 dresses and finally found the one at exquisite! it is a gorgeous place where you get your own room with a huge mirror. It is expensive, but I was able to find my dress on sale! They have unique styles as well!
Can't say enough about all the girls at exquisite bride!! They were amazing! So helpful and nice - they helped me find the perfect dress and accessories! The service was top notch! And my Sareh Nouri gown was to die for - I wish I could wear it everyday!
I have to start by saying that Exquisite Bride and I were in for quite surprise after ordering my wedding dress. It looked completely different online than it did when we got it in the salon. Regardless one of their seamstresses, Lauri, did an absolutely incredible job. I paid for my alterations which was supposed to include 3 fitting and my final pick up. I ended up going back 6 times and they didn't charge anything extra. Everyone at the salon new my name and was very personable. I would highly recommend purchasing your dress here.
Every single aspect of my experience with Exquisite Bride was fabulous! The woman who helped me select my gown was so nice, and did a great job of helping me choose the right gowns to try on. I was also on a bit of a tighter budget than most brides who go into that store, but they did a great job of making sure I had all the details I needed within my budget.
After I selected my dress, every other aspect of their service was great too! From sending me swatches, making appointments, and all three of my dress fittings were so easy and so pleasant. They have really, really talented seamstresses who do a great job, and really listened to the adjustments that I wanted to make. Choosing this salon really de-stressed my wedding-prep period, and they were worth every dollar I spent here.
This place was recommended to me by a friend & I was blown away the moment I stepped foot inside. Very professional and warm environment. The staff listens to you and found the dress that was in my budget & timeframe. I got married in 5 months & they were able to find my dream dress, have it delivered & altered in time. They don't over crowd like some bigger named places it was truly a very pleasurable experience.
This place was wonderful, as was the experience. You walk in and already feel like a bride. I picked out a few dresses, tried them on and when I picked a dress, we got champagne. Altering the dress was just as seamless. The seamstress was amazing! I was hesitant the first time as it wasn't fitting, but by the final fitting, it was perfect. It is not a cheap place, as a lot of the gowns are designers, but the quality was fantastic.
So, I am not one to gush about things and not usually the type to write reviews. However, I can't really say enough about how wonderful my experience was here. This is a very high end store, but everyone I encountered was so nice, relaxed, and friendly. My first time in the store was my first day shopping for dresses. My Mom and I came in in the late afternoon and we were tired and overwhelmed. However, the store was so beautiful and quiet that I immediately felt less stressed. As I walked in, I saw a dress that was featured in the salon and knew that that was the dress that I wanted to wear for my wedding. It was the Sareh Nouri Neda gown and it was gorgeous.
I had come into the store to try on Amsale sample gowns, which the store was discontinuing. I tried some of these on. Then I saw that they also carry Vera Wang (and very few stores do), so I tried on some of those just to see and some other beautiful dresses as well.
I just had to try on that Neda gown, despite my determination to buy a less expensive sample. Until I tried on that dress, I was disappointed about wedding dress shopping. I am rather petite and I did not want a huge, heavy dress. I was determined to feel comfortable and wear the dress, rather than having it wear me. This gown was like nothing else I'd tried on. It was so light and ethereal and the fabric was amazing. It was also made in New Jersey and not overseas!!!
I loved it, but it was my first day shopping and this was a big decision. I went home and googled the designer. I was so shocked and impressed to read that this was her first collection... ever! At the time, this brand was only available in three stores in the country. I e-mailed the company and asked some questions and was told to call and "talk to Sareh." What? Talk to the designer? My Mom ended up calling and asking some questions and Sareh was really nice.
We then went to a bunch of other stores on other days, including a hugely famous one in Manhattan where they film a certain TV show. I knew after that that I wanted to go back to the low-key, no pressure store (Exquisite Bride!) where I saw the amazing and unique Neda gown! I went in and Sareh was there to help me try on dresses. In fact, it had been her who had helped me try on dresses the first time we were in the store too and I had no idea! She never mentioned to me that she had designed some of the dresses. I was so surprised and impressed by that. There was zero pressure to buy her dress or any dress, for that matter. I happily bought my beautiful dress!
They had great communication, sending me letters to update me on the status of my gown. Megan, who works at the front of the store, was super nice and responded to e-mails immediately. Laurinda, the seamstress, was also very sweet and so capable. The dress ended up being perfect and more than everything I'd hoped and dreamed. The experience was calm, smooth and professional.
I would recommend this salon to anyone and I will recommend it to everyone! Thanks to Sareh, Megan, and Laurinda- you are the best!
All of my fittings went perfectly. the seamstress, Laurinda, is beyond amazing! She is like a magician! the things she did for me and my dress were unreal. It fit like a glove! they are nice and professional and try to really work with your schedule and needs. If you're a NJ/NY bride I would definitely make an appointment at exquisite bride.
Beautiful dress and a great great great discounted price!!!!!!!
Exquisite bride was a wonderful experience. Sareh and Meghan were wonderful.
I went to 5 different wedding dress appointments before exquisite bride, tried on numerous dresses, and felt silly in nearly all of them. I wasn't sure what I was looking for, but described what I liked about a few of the dresses I had tried. The consultant pulled a gorgeous jim hjelm dress, and it was perfect...i actually teared up. I'm not the type to get excited about weddings, so that was extremely out of character. Their dresses start at 3,500 which was above my budget, but they worked with us and I was able to get the dress! Alterations, including an added sweetheart neckline, went flawlessly.
great selection of dresses! alot of them are pretty pricey but I found a sample dress that was right in my range and was the perfect dress for me!! They are VERY helpful, patient, and honest :) The place itself is beautiful...sophisitcated decor. Big, spacious, private areas for each bride to try on dresses and there's never more than 2 brides in there at the same time so it was always a relaxing, fun experience!
I don't know where to begin to thank Exquisite Bride for the great personal service we received. Thanks to my cousin, we ended up here and I couldn't have been happier because we probably would have ended up at one of the large chains without the personal attention I've now come to appreciate.
From the moment I walked in they made a very nervous and self conscious bride feel very comfortable. It only took two dresses before we found the one! The dress fitting went even better. The seamstress was amazing and handled all of my concerns with care.
The people and service here is fantastic! Don't go anywhere else!
I cannot say enough about my experience with Exquisite Bride. The store manager and owner worked to get in a sample of a dress I wanted to try on and ended up buying. Kathy, my consultant, was warm, patient and incredibly helpful. Dress shopping ended up being a wonderful experience instead of the stress associated with so many other aspects of wedding planning. With the expert alterations also at Exquisite Bride, my dress and veil were just perfect on the day of my wedding.
great store, and all very attentive and helpful employees with great style advice
I bought my wedding dress a little less then a year before my wedding so I wasn't rushed or anything. We went in on a budget and out salesperson was very good in only pulling dresses in our price range. I ended up getting the first dress I tried on and she let me keep it on and walk around and look at it in different angles and lighting. Overall we had a very good experience here and would absolutley recommend it!
As a bridesmaid, I was very excited to be a part of a good friend's wedding, but this store has almost pushed me to the brink of dropping out of the wedding completely. I was told by the staff that if I came in by a certain date, I would not have to pay a rush fee, so I made sure I went in and picked out and placed a deposit on my bridesmaid dress before the date I was given. I then received a phone call weeks later saying that they did not order the dress until all the bridesmaids came in to order their dresses and they would have to charge a rush fee. When I protested, I was told I did not have to pay the rush fee, but they could not guarantee the dress would arrive in time for the wedding and it wasn't their problem. In addition, they told me to order the next size up (so that they would get additional money for alterations) and if I didn't, they were not responsible if the dress did not fit.
On top of all of this, I was told that their credit card machine was "broken" and they had to write down my credit card number, which just made me nervous.
I found the staff to be haughty and rude and I would not recommend this store to anyone!
I purchased my dress from Exquisite. I fell in love with an Amsale dress there. I felt the salesperson was a little pushy to purchase and didn't want to spend a lot of time with me. That was truly my only turn off. All of the other employees were absolutely wonderful and sweet! I also had a good experience with the seamstresses. Two sisters and they are so sweet. My only issue with alterations was that my dress was still a little big in the chest area on my wedding day. I kept having to ask for the dress to be tighter and she kept saying it was okay.
Overall, a good store with beautiful (but pricey) dresses. I really wish I could wear my dress again.
I found my dress here and it was the third dress I tried on, The sales girl let me go into the back and pick out some dresses. She was a bit snooty at first but then once I seemed like I wanted to buy a dress she got a lot nicer. When I first walked in and showed her the pictures I had of ideas she actually had one of the dresses I had in a picture I had cut from a magazine. She said all of the dresses were $3000 or up but I got my dress for $1400 because the store was not going to keep that dress and it was excalty what I wanted. It was a sample dress but it was perfect. Overall it was a great experience.
The staff at Exquisite Bridal was so sweet & so helpful! They have a great selection of dresses!
Early on in my search for the perfect wedding dress, my Mom and I were saddened to find many snotty bridal gown vendors. We first looked in Priscilla of Boston in Short Hills, and one bridal boutigue in Chatham. Both venues offered beautiful gowns, however the help staff was horrible. They treated my mom and I like second-class citizens. Needless to say we never went back. We came across Exquisite Bridal in Millburn and were blown away by the staff and dresses! They have a HUGE selection of gowns that range in price so there's pretty much something for everyone! I brought my Mom and Dad with me when we went and am so glad I did because, after trying on about 30 dresses, the last dress was the one we bought that day! Our bridal consultant was a sweetheart and was easy to work with. After choosing my dress my mom and I later returned to the bridesmaid part of the store and, of course, found the bridesmaid dresses! Everyone in both the bridesmaid and bridal gown department is wonderful, friendly, and respectful! Veronica, the store manager, is the consummate professional and was always quick to return my voicemails when I wanted to change the sash on my dress. During my first fitting, the dress was a bit too tight. During my second and third fitting, the dress, veil, and sash looked and felt perfect. I cannot recommend Exquisite Bride enough! You will have a perfect experience there if you work with them!
Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at exquisite bride. They have a beautiful selection of dresses and are really nice to work with.
My only complaint... they made a two or three comments about my weight and size (both positive and negative)... which made me a little uncomfortable.
I had always driven past this store and wanted to go in. When I started dress shopping, it was the second place I visited. Although I was a little intimidated by the place at first, Gia - the seamstress/alterations/shop woman extraordinaire - put me at ease.
She judged my style by what I picked up - but ultimately it was her selection that I went with! I cried when I put it on - and so did she! She was a tremendous help throughout everything. She even saved scraps from my dress, from the alterations, so that I could use these pieces for future projects.
Also! I had purchased a fascinator/hair clip from Etsy. After seeing me with all my accessories together, Gia suggested adding a little turquoise to my fascinator to match my necklace. Which looked beautiful! She's got an amazing eye - and because of that, I was a stunning bride!
I liked this Bridal Salon - if I had to do it again, I am not sure I would buy my dress here. Overall, everything worked out and I loved my dress. However, the people who work there are not that friendly and my dress took a LOT longer to come in than they originally said. I was pretty nervous for a while.
The seamstress Gia that works here is amazing. I love her and she is the best thing in the store.
Their prices are fair and their selection of dresses is good.
