Unprofessional, lacks creativity, full of excuses. Just a few words/phrases to describe this photography company. Be very careful with this photographer - her portfolio on her website will give you hope but don't fall for it. After stating in o...ur contract that our photos would be available on her website, she never even posted them because of how horrible they came out. I gave her very specific examples of photos before hiring her (artistic) and asked her "can you do this?" and she reassured me that she could do anything I asked of her. Big mistake on my part believing that because she is a VERY TRADITIONAL wedding photographer - lacks any type of creativity with the pictures/poses.
We had Vanessa for our engagement session - she canceled once, showed up late the 2nd time. I had to call her and ask her where she was because she didn't call me to tell me she was running late. She suggested 1 pm on a hot summer Sunday at Green Lakes... It was so busy with people around we could barely find room to take pictures without people being in them. As a professional, she should have known that was a bad day/time.
Denise shot the actual wedding. Now she actually showed up on time, however there were key moments she missed (our first kiss [how you miss that I have no idea], my husband picking me up during the dirty dancing song) and I didn't even get 1 photo of just my grandmother and I! Not one! The "traditional" photos taken with family were either grainy, blurry, eyes closed, etc. I didn't have 1 clear photo of my family that I could print out for Christmas photos. The other thing that bothered me about the reception photos - there were probably 150 pictures of us doing the cha-cha slide, not even good ones, yet there were hardly any of just the wedding guests themselves. Usually a photographer will go around and shoot all the couples, or at least the tables, but that wasn't done. Also, neither Denice or Vanessa edited any of the pictures. There were NO black and whites, no blurred backgrounds, she didn't even edit out tiny things like my under eye circles or blemishes. When I expressed my disappointment in the pictures via email, Vanessa called me but I missed the call. Before the call, I had written another review on Weddingwire.com that she didn't like and when I returned her phone call, she said to me "I don't have time for this, I saw the review you wrote about me online, I have another wedding to shoot" and literally hung up in my face. How immature. We've discussed taking her to small claims court to try and recoup some of the $1,000 we paid her but it's honestly not worth the time or filing fees to be honest. I could seriously keep going with all the little stuff that bothered me but I've written enough. My advice would be to spend the extra money and hire a real professional. Finch photography: the price is good, the quality not so much.
