The wait staff were also very professional and service oriented. 285 people were all served dinner almost simultaneously - we worked to make sure we had enough help because that was important to us. The only thing that I would try to do differently is better execution around the cleanup. As we all know, garbage needs to be separated into recycling and trash. My husband ended up having to do a lot of sorting, for almost a full day, after the event.

We had the great fortune of working with Liz and Carly who made planning and the day of flawless. Also, Carly's coordination skills were unbelievable and eased so much of the anxiety and stress inherent to the day of. We were also in awe of the serving staff, led by the remarkable Jim, who were the sweetest and most highly organized team of professionals. I have never heard wedding guests remark on the quality of food service as much as our guests. We absolutely loved working with Fenwick and highly recommend them!

What I valued the most about Liz and this company is that not only was she our caterer, but she played the role of matre'd and coordinated with all my other vendors and practically ran the show the day of. We had a sit down- family style meal that our guests are still calling the best wedding food ever. A few people asked for MainStreet's info because they are getting married soon and were so impressed. Liz sent the leftovers home with us at the end of the night so that we didn't have to worry about cooking. They took care of the cake which was also delicious. Liz asked for ideas and their pastry chef created the most beautiful and yet understated cake that went so perfectly with our theme. All their employees were professional, helpful and friendly. We had waiters and waitresses and bartenders taking care of us all night long from the usual bringing of food and drink to making sure that there wasn't anything else they could help with. The day before the wedding, we had brought three car loads of decorations and ideas and dropped them off and Liz and her crew transformed it into a magical reception that I had only dreamed about. If you are in search of the best wedding food, the best staff and the best coordinator- look no further. You will not be disappointed.

We were so happy to have her with us when it came to making decisions about things. On the night of the wedding itself, Liz did a great job coordinating with our venue hosts and was able to change a few little things on the fly without any issues. We are so thankful to have chosen Main Street for our wedding!

Luckily we were able to proceed with an outdoor ceremony, in and outdoor cocktails and tented reception. The passed appetizers were delicious..........I confess I did not get to the location of the standing Mediterranean display. Bar service was efficient. The dinner itself was very well done. There was very little time taken to have all tables (155 guests) served at the same time. Out of those 155 guests, 101 ordered the filet with mashed potatoes and caramelized onions and asparagus. To serve that amount of beef to people and not have it taste like shoe leather is an accomplishment and the meat was delicious as were the sides. The other entree options, Mahi Mahi with a mango salsa and a stuffed portobella mushroom were also well received. Special requests were accommodated with no problem. Several of our guests commented on how pleasant and helpful the servers were. A very beautiful evening and a lot of that credit goes to Main St. Catering.

ng ready inside how all of the wait staff, kitchen staff, managers, etc rose to the occasion in helping to move ceremony chairs and re-work the tent set up to accommodate the rain plan. Additionally, the wait staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout the entire evening. They were performing duties that were not necessary for them to do - putting rugs down behind my chair to help with the mud/wet grass, wiping the dance floor continuously, etc. Personally, I was never without a drink - whether it be water or wine, someone was always there ready to fill it up. I thought that this was because I was the bride (hah!) but many of our guests have also commented on how they have never seen such a professional, friendly, smiling wait staff. AND that they too never had an empty glass or plate. Additionally, the food was off the charts. From the lemonade and iced tea set up at the ceremony, to the artisan cheese table to entrees and dessert--everything was superb and presented SO beautifully!! Unfortunately, the reason I can only give Main Street 4 stars is because of the difficulty of communication, slight attitude, and generally not feeling like our wedding was at all a priority leading up to and planning our wedding. We had a wedding planner and she unfortunately felt that working with the catering manager was slightly difficult as well. It's truly unfortunate as I would love to recommend Main Street to EVERYone as the food and wait staff and day of coordination are incredible. But, when one of your main vendors hinders and adds headache to the planning process instead of helping, it's hard to give the 5 stars I would love to be able to award them.

Food was constantly out and being circulated. The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful! They supplied all the rentals and gave us a ton of options to choose from in our price range. Anything was possible and made affordable. We also chose to get our rentals through Main Street as they were able to get us a better price. The overall costing of food, servers, bartenders and rentals were quite competitive, but the deciding factor was our coordinator and the quality of the food. Throughout the planning we felt like we were a part of the Main Street family...we really felt as though we were understood and as a control freak, they put me at ease when relinquishing the success of our wedding on them. Everything was perfect! We felt like we were their only client for the duration. Extra meetings were no issue and Liz always went out of her way to meet our schedule. If we have the chance to do it all over we would use Main Street and request Liz! Full on perfection and professionalism.

Teri made sure that no glass was empty and that all the guests left happy and satisfied. I highly recommend Main Street Catering and Teri to every bride who wants a scrumptious wedding feast on her big day! Main Street Catering and Teri will deliver you great service and excellent food! We can't say enough about Teri and her team. There were specific team members who followed us around during cocktail hour to be certain that we had everything we needed and they checked in with us constantly throughout the night to make sure that we ate enough and were enjoying everything. Everyone always says they don't get to eat at their own wedding - that was not the case with us! We enjoyed literally everything that was served, Teri's staff saw to it that everyone at the party had an incredible time. Teri is the ultimate planner - her guidance and advice throughout the process was spot on. We trusted her implicitly and she certainly never let us down. Worth every penny!

First of all, the food was outstanding. On top of that however, Teri was able to change up the menu when we discovered our art gallery venue would not have a kitchen as previously promised, and offer choices that could be prepared without conventional methods, yet also without compromising taste and quality. Literally every single person weve talked to since our big day has mentioned the food and how delicious it was. Perhaps more telling, there was only 1 small box of varied desserts, some salad, and a small box of side dishes left over at the end. Our coordinator, Teri Lands, was the brains of our entire day, and made sure that everything would run the way it needed to; the MVP of a huge team, and lucky for us, because she made sure things were happening that we had never (and would've never) even considered. Timely, efficient in her renting and ordering, straightforward with finances, and flexible in managing the small details. Her experience was markedly evident, and she was able to offer suggestions to make our day stand out from other weddings without sacrificing elegance or increasing the bottom line (serve your own sangria and mojitos at cocktail hour?!). Teri was absolutely incredible. Unless you've already been married or already work as a wedding planner and know what to expect, you are doing yourself a disservice to hire anyone else. Lastly, the team of catering staff she brought to our day were impeccable. Her on site lead Toni was there the day before to examine the site, work out any kinks ahead of time, and even brought us a small table from home to use in the bathrooms. The rest of the staff were on time, efficient in setting up, and interacted with our guests just enough so they enjoyed themselves without taking their time away from other family and friends. The small things are what set them apart; taking extra time to find more of the foods people liked; serving coffee and dessert from the buffet to our elderly guests who were too tired to walk around as the night got older; actually enjoying the night along with us, instead of just serving us coldly. I can go on forever. There is reason they've won the Knot awards so many times. You owe it to yourself to call and speak with them. Other caterers may be able to do as good a job, but no one is doing it better. Teri, if youre reading this, thank you again!! So happy to have shared our day with you!! Leading up to the wedding Teri was quick to answer any questions we had (and anticipate those we hadn't yet thought of!) And on the day of, Teri's team helped everything run incredibly smoothly. Having an outdoor wedding doesn't make things easy -- we ran into a rain delay before the ceremony started, but Main Street was quick to adapt and make sure our quests were well served as we all waited for the rain to pass. Not an easy task when you ask 200 guests to wait over an hour for the ceremony to start, but I heard nothing but compliments on the service Teri and her team provided. I highly recommend Main Street to couples planning their big day. No matter the venue or hiccups that may happen, Teri knows how to keep everything running smoothly and keep your guests happy.

Not only was the food amazing (filet was the best I've ever had, the salmon wrapped with pesto got tons of compliments from our guests, and the cake-half lemon with fresh raspberries and half chocolate moose was perfect), but also Terri helped us coordinate the tent, the cocktail hour, the dj and the flowers. We could tell that Main Street was well respected in the area as every vendor of our wedding seemed to know and be happy to work with them. Terri even helped us switch our reception location early on (the Manor House in Princeton) and we couldn't have imagined it being anywhere else thanks to her creative and experienced knowledge of the area. She held a very professional but down to earth tasting session and met us at the reception location multiple times to make sure every t was crossed and i was dotted. The night of the wedding, Terri and her team ran point with all our venders so we didn't have to think about a thing and could just enjoy the moment-which we did! It was the best day and night of our lives and we definitely have Terri and Main Street catering to thank for it-Thanks Terri!

The presentation was beautiful and it tasted amazing. Everyone was raving about our freshly fried donuts for desert! Main Street provided full service catering for our venue and handled all of the party rentals likes tables and chairs and linens. Kendra picked out the perfect linens to go with our wedding colors without me needing to lift a finger to help. She was very prompt in getting back to us vial email whenever we had questions (which was often). She made us feel completely at ease because her confidence and professionalism made it apparent from the beginning that she was going to knock it out of the park. And she did! You will not find better quality food and service for the price. We owe the entire Main Street staff a huge THANK YOU! You made our wedding great.

As a warning, be prepared for many calls/emails asking who the caterer was and frequent cravings thereafter from you and your significant other.

We were able to collaborate with them in putting together our jewel toned place settings which turned out exquisite! Both Teri and Kendra completely understood our vision and ran with it! They also brought to the table a whole roster of fantastic vendors of which were also at our disposal. We had an amazing DJ, a fantastic photographer and an unbelievable artist for our invitations. The artwork for the invites were so amazing that two guests decided to frame them and give them as gifts. Everyone single guest ran up to us and said it was THE best wedding they had EVER been to! Main Street helped customize a diverse menu that allowed my wife (who is vegetarian) and some vegan friends to feel wonderfully satisfied which is no easy task at weddings. No one left hungry! To this day people continue to rave about the food! Kendra made sure that the food was magnificent and brilliantly displayed at cocktail hour. She ensured that everything that could have been an issue was taken care of in advance and our event went smoothly! The wait staff were wonderfully accommodating as they served mouthwatering entrees family style. We fully intend to refer Main Street to family and friends and we now consider them our personal caterer forevermore!

lanning. Main Street was not only our caterer but also ended up essentially being our day of coordinator and our day was flawless as a result. All of the food Main Street served was unbelievable. We actually received emails from friends after the wedding saying the mac and cheese app was the best thing they had ever tasted. My fiancé is from Philly so having a cheese steak appetizer was extremely important. Main Street created this dish especially for us with no questions asked and at no additional cost. Friends and family also raved about the filet, salmon, and lemon gnocchi entrees – all were delicious and very well received. Main Street is incredibly attentive to details and proactively thought through all aspects of our day, at times even before we had. Our reception site was a blank canvas and we had to bring everything, which could have easily been an overwhelming experience. However, Teri and Main Street were so organized every step of the planning we always felt as though the details of our big day were under control. During each conversation we had, Teri made sure to walk us through what we should be thinking about in the coming weeks and gave us clear direction around when decisions needed to be made. The catering team is also incredibly thoughtful. When my fiancé, parents and I went to Main Street for our tasting, Teri recalled that my fiancé loves peanut butter based on a discussion we had had months earlier. After she and her team presented us with a mini wedding cake at the end of the tasting, she also presented us with a separate batch of peanut butter buttercream frosting simply because she knew my fiancé would love it. These is just one example of Main Street going above and beyond to create the best possible experience for us. Main Street’s wait staff was also incredibly kind and attentive. One waitress approached us as soon as we entered the cocktail hour and offered to get us drinks. Another waitress offered to set aside a plate of appetizers and food for us to eat after the cocktail hour, recognizing that we would likely not have a chance to eat during cocktails. I cannot praise Teri and her team enough – they truly made our day so perfect for us. Any bride and groom would be lucky to have Main Street cater their wedding, both because of the delicious food and the attentive service. Truly an amazing group to work with!

provide their services. As Main Street Catering was one of the select few, my wife scheduled a consultation with Teri Lands and we drove down to their office just outside of Princeton. Full disclosure is that I was very pessimistic any caterer, especially one of three, would be able to create the type of product food wise I would feel comfortable serving to 200 of our family and closest friends. Everyone knows the type of wedding food you come to expect from catering halls/wedding venues and that was just not going to cut it. During our first meeting, Teri exuded a warmth and thoughtfulness that helped me feel as though we were not just “another couple”. We went over cocktail hour options, the dinner menu, and even breakfast options for the guests staying at Ashford. At no point did I feel that we were rushed during that initial meeting or the subsequent tastings/meetings/phone conversations that took place leading up to our day. Teri made it clear that Main Street could provide anything our imagination could think up for our guests. The day of our wedding was stressful as I’m sure it is for most couples, but the professionalism and experience displayed by Teri and the staff at Main Street took over as they helped set up, coordinate other vendors, and even help guests get settled in their rooms. It truly was a whirlwind from beginning to end, but I admitted to Teri that 1) it was the best food/quality of ingredients I had ever experienced at a wedding, 2) I never went with an empty glass for long, and 3) she was right on every suggestion she made for the day. If quality, professionalism, and a peace of mind on one of the most important days of your life matter to you, at the very least, speak with Teri Lands at Main Street Catering. I won’t remember how much money we spent on our day in ten years, but the memory of the food, drinks, and reaction we received from those who we care about most will stay with me for a lifetime. with everything we wanted (which is not an easy feat for a foodcentric huge Italian crowd). Everyone raved about the food (including some pretty picky restauranteurs.) Teri made me feel like a guest at our daughter's wedding. I was bothered with no issues. Besides compliments on the quality and creativity of the food, we received compliments on the accomodating staff (one from one of the other vendors at the wedding). One family member remarked how smoothly the food service ran and how no one at any time wanted for anything. Kudos to Teri and everyone at Main Street! You made the difference!

Although (as a typical bride) I did not get to eat all of the wonderful food at our wedding, I know it was ALL stellar from the rave reviews I got from my guests and the leftovers that they packaged up for us after the wedding. I did get to sample all of the dinner items in our buffet because the wonderful ladies and gentlemen providing service were sure to deliver a huge plate to my husband and my table as soon as dinner was served! Main Street Fine Catering did an amazing job at our wedding, and I would recommend them to anyone! The ONLY thing I would say is it is a little difficult to get in touch with them if you are the type who is planning your wedding far in advance. However, as the wedding date drew closer, it was very easy to reach someone.

on one with Teri Lands and her team, which made the whole experience really personalized. They even baked us a mini wedding cake (of our favorite flavor) to taste. They took our ideas and what food we liked from the tasting and came up with an incredible menu. Everything we could possibly want was included. Main Street prepares the most amazing, delicious food. And everything was presented in such unique ways and will work with you for special requests. I wanted to include a vintage dessert bar and Teri worked with me to make my idea a reality. I absolutely loved the dessert bar. All of our guests could not stop raving about how good the food was and how incredible the service from Main Street staff was. Everyone was so attentive throughout the evening. When we first went into cocktail hour, they made sure that we were able to try all of the plates available. Teri and Main Street went above and beyond any caterer that I’ve worked with! Teri also acted as our wedding coordinator. She worked through all of my emails, indecisiveness, and changes to create such a beautiful wedding. They were able to set up additional decorations that I wanted throughout the estate. And Teri and her team made the day flow seamlessly, no matter what was thrown at them. We are so grateful that we chose Main Street for our wedding.

And although we knew Main Street was the caterer, we soon learned that Teri was so much more! She had many creative ideas, endless patience as we kept shifting gears with our decor until we had it exactly right, continuous support, calm directions, helpful advice and great contacts to get us through our roadblocks. We did find the perfect tablecloths, wooden tables, dinner plates...she even sent us to the right make-up and hair stylists! She had all the finishing touches for a perfect day, including serving as the Wedding Day coordinator. While we don't have any more daughters to marry off, we do hope to have many more celebrations, so I look forward to a time when we can again work with Main Street Catering to create another most perfect moment in our lives!

ary 2012 and once I met with Teri and the competing caterer, it was a no brainer. Teri's knowledge and expertise was something that is rare to find in a caterer and I am so thankful that I found her. As we planned the wedding, Teri was there every step of the way helping us create the most memorable wedding we could ever imagine. As we approached the November 2012 date, Teri was hands on with everything from the menu, signature drink and even helping with the timeline of the day to make sure it ran smoothly. Then... Super Storm Sandy happened. My family had obstacles that we needed to tackle first and our wedding had to be postponed only 10 days before the wedding. The comfort from Main Street and the ease of having to reschedule the wedding is something that could bring tears to my eyes. The compassion from the Food Angels was shown yet again. After we were able to get back on our feet, the wedding planning picked up again. We met with Teri again and re constructed our Fall menu into a Spring menu, and ironed out all the other details. Teri and her staff were so supportive of the changes that we requested and had amazing ideas as well. The wedding has now come and gone and the feedback I received from my family and friends is AMAZING. The Food Angels were able to impress all the foodies and kept everyone's drinks full all night long. The night was perfect. They even supplied a server for the bride and groom so we could eat while talking to all of our guests. I remember one of the servers coming up to me and saying "Please eat!" during the reception. If it wasn't for them reminding me, I would have missed it. The cocktail hour food was incredible,the stations, the antipasta, and the passed apps. The service was incredible, the entrees and THE CAKE... all absolutely amazing. I have worked events in the past and have worked with many caterers. This is hands down the best caterer and service you could ever receive. We feel so lucky that we were able to work with them and will miss all of our conversations over the past year and a half. Do yourself a favor and book these Food Angels for any of your upcoming events. It's worth it!!!

Catering. Main Street simplified our wedding planning because in addition to the food, they do wedding cakes (ours was delicious), handle the event rentals (they got all the chairs and tables for our outdoor ceremony and indoor reception), and will coordinate vendor deliveries on the day of. (This was a huge help to us because our day-of-coordinator had not worked at our venue before, but Main Street was familiar with it.) We worked with Joy Allen to plan our event, and she is amazing. She went above and beyond for us, and she has such a pleasant, warm personality. We had total confidence in Joy and knowing she would be at the wedding put us at ease. One example of Joy's dedication to her clients: the day before the wedding, our venue informed us that it lacked freezer space for the ice cream we had already ordered to be served with our cake at dessert. I left a frantic message for Joy, hoping she'd have some ideas of how to figure this out. She called back and said that if we could arrange to have the ice cream delivered to her office, she would leave our reception before dessert to personally pick it up and bring it back in time for the cake-cutting. This is what I mean when I say that she went above and beyond. And that's only one example. The food was delicious, and Main Street's catering staff executed the event flawlessly. Their servers are professionals who really take pride in their work - I even recognized some of the faces from my sister's wedding. Their staff will transport you and your guests to an experience akin to a fine dining establishment - not the usual catered event experience. I've already recommended Main Street to another friend (who signed them up) and will continue to sing their praises to anyone planning a wedding in the Central Jersey area. and her staff seemed to anticipate each and every detail that I had thought of concerning decoration, candles, lighting, etc. It rained during the day and she was ready with plan B but then the sun came out and she swiftly went with our original outdoor plan. Not only is the food excellent, (I've been hearing that it was the only wedding food anyone has even remembered let alone enjoyed!) but they are a full service caterer so all the little details that one usually has to have friends do, they take care of it! The price may be a bit higher than others in the area but they use local ingredients where available and nothing is frozen (which is sadly common for apps) and the price was totally worth it for my husband and I as self proclaimed foodies. I cannot recommend Main Street enough and as soon as I plan another event I will be using them again!

Teri was incredibly helpful throughout the entire planning process and throughout our wedding day. We did not have a "wedding coordinator" and didn't need one with the incredible ability Main Street had to coordinate with the other vendors and make things run smoothly. We wanted our menu to be laid back and to reflect the fall season. I insisted on adding a grilled cheese bar (a "man with a pan") and they accommodated my wish. Of course, I was thrilled! I would recommend Main Street to anybody!

I really wanted a "Country, Garden Sophisticated" wedding and I never thought a vendor would "get it". Main Street did!! They really layed out the wedding of my dreams. Their selection of linens and china is at first overwhelming, but their staff will help you decide and even try things you didn't think of yourself. The service the day of the wedding was A++. I never had a stressed out moment once during the reception. Their staff was always right on. What ever I needed or anyone at the wedding needed they were on it. Everyone from their main coordinator to the bartender was amazing and friendly. All my friends said it was the most beautiful, tasty, and calm wedding they had every been to. I have two friends get married in the next year, and both want to use Main Street.

The cocktail hour and ceremony brought together dishes and tastes from many cultures and our culinary interests, yet still used local and seasonal ingredients that complimented each other well. They also took care of the cake which was beautiful and DELICIOUS. The guests (even the most picky eaters) seemed to love every dish more than the last! Main Street's service was personal and friendly 100% of the time. They always answered calls, emails and questions right away. They were creative where we needed them to be, and listened to our concerns and ideas. The wait-staff at the event were polite and professional, and the coordinator was calm, collected and organized - I would trust with my life (and of course, our wedding). Main Street worked together with our florist and the venue to create a beautiful atmosphere in what started as a daunting and awkward space. We ended up with a classy and elegant wedding, but my fiance and I began with a more casual idea. Either way, Main Street was able to be flexible and work with our budget. We highly recommend this vendor for any event!

work with. She is over-the-top nice, and a stickler for details. Never did she say "no", and, in fact, she went well above and beyond what we ever thought a caterer would do for us. The day of, Joy was more of an on-site coordinator for cocktails and dinner than a banquet manager. She laid out and lighted luminary bags and other candles, and set up a ton of our do-it-yourself stuff. Never in our wildest imaginations did we ever think that we would find someone who was as good at her job as Joy. And that is coming from a bride and groom who are extremely picky and not easily satisfied. Secondly, the food at Main Street is beyond good. We went in knowing that we didn't want traditional wedding food. After attending one of their tastings, we knew that we had found exactly what we wanted. All of their food selections were wonderful, in particular the salads, cheese stations, and the cake (the best cake we've ever tasted - wedding or not). Main Street has a reputation in the Princeton area as the very best caterer, and they only made us believe in them even more.
