Just a wonderful boutique! This was the only place I went to look at dresses because after visiting it was such a welcoming and great place! Beautiful selections and helpful staff! So happy I chose House of Couture. They gave me a great experience and a beautiful, perfect dress!!

I had an amazing experience at House of Couture! After months of searching and going to at least 25 stores in a tri state area, hand down this by far was the best experience. I have nothing but good things to say about everyone at House of Couture including Skye! They helped me find the perfect most incredible wedding gown. It was truly something out of my dreams! Everyone is so professional and knowledgeable as well so if you have questions about anything you’ll have an answer quickly. The alterations on my dress were minimal as I was sized perfectly when my gown was ordered. All I really needed done was bustling since I had a long train. It looked incredible and I couldn’t be happier with my whole experience here. ☺️🤍

I found my Mother of the Bride dress after a very fun and customized appointment. Their consultant helped me experiment with different styles knowing that my goal was to not look matronly but elegant in a way that worked best for my shape and features. Once the dress arrived, I went in for several fittings due to losing weight and dropping a couple dress sizes. Each fitting was extremely professional and efficient. Additionally, I requested that "flutter sleeves" be added to the dress based on a picture/ vision I had. They customized the dress for me and it was absolutely perfect for the wedding. I felt beautiful that day due to the dress fitting like a glove and it ended up complementing with my daughter's wedding dress in a way I couldn't have imagined. I had several people reach out to me on social media asking me where I got my dress and have recommended this shop wholeheartedly. Also, I can't say enough about the seamstress and what a beautiful job she did in downsizing and customizing my dress. I loved the experience, customer service, and their consistent professionalism!

Cannot recommend House of Couture. When all other shops didn’t have what I was looking for. They had 4 options in what I was wanting. The staff is knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. They made my wedding dress dreams come true!!

Skye is an AMAZING seamstress! My dress was a tricky one as it was custom made. Because of that I knew I had to trust the process as well as trust Skye. But on my last fitting, she brought my dream dress to life and it couldn't have been more perfect! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! Absolutely amazing. I went in with an idea of what I wanted and The worker who helped me was fast efficient and picked amazing dresses for me. Every single dress was breathtaking and in my budget which was unbelievable and I did not think it was possible. I definitely think that every bride should choose this house of couture for their first dress appointment. You will save a lot of time by going here because you will find your dress like I did. Skye, and the rest of the staff, where beyond helpful and professional! I went there to buy my wedding dress and I really was treated like a queen. They make you feel so special! Everything fit into my budget. They also did all my alterations on my dress, as well. 10/10!!

If you are looking for your special dress to get alterations done, Skye is your go-to person. My wedding dress had so much lace, glitter, beading and multiple layers to it, and she altered it with so much care. You can put your complete trust in Skye with taking care of your dress. I promise you it is in the best hands. Skye took wonderful care of my dress and was also extremely flexible when scheduling appointments. She makes you feel beautiful and feel comfortable in her store. All of the other ladies that work in her store are also extremely friendly and kind! They also had a beautiful variety of bridal dresses and accessories! In addition to Skye’s expertise and professionalism, she was someone who provided me love and support personally. Exactly one week before my wedding, my mother had a stroke and brain bleed. Skye also did some minor alterations to my mother’s dress, and when I went to pick up my dress and her dress I broke down in tears right in Skye’s shop. Her and the other ladies in the shop hugged me and offered to let me come in another day to pick up the dresses. They took the time to listen to me and talked with me about what had happened to my mother. They provided me comfort and were so patient with me. They treated me with so much love and respect. I am happy to share not only a picture of my beautiful dress Skye altered for me (which fit absolutely perfectly by the way!), but also a picture of my mother and I on my wedding day. My mother made an amazing recovery and was able to get a free pass out of rehab to attend my wedding! She was so happy to wear her dress that Skye altered for her! Also, thank you Skye for the shawl for my mother that matched her dress perfectly! It was so hard to find one that matched! Before my mother’s stroke, she had so much fun going to Skye’s shop with me to try on our dresses together! I highly recommend going to House of Couture if you’re looking for any kind of dress alternations! Thank you Skye and to all of the lovely ladies in the shop! I bought two mother of the groom dresses 2022 and was so pleased back again for 2023. Sky is the best. Superb work an eye for exquisite taste. Will not steer you wrong to make a sale. Skye is so professional and perfect! She is our go to for all our dress needs - having 4 daughter brides-to-be! My daughter was recently a maid of honor and at the time of the wedding would be 38 weeks pregnant - Skye was working closely with her for the dress fitting. Well baby decided to come early and Skye was able to alter the pregnant brides maid dress to fit the ever changing 2 week postpartum body dress. Mom and baby are healthy and the dress fit like a glove thanks to Skye and her amazing talent!

There are no words to describe the pure joy I had shopping for my dress. Skye, made every moment magic, special, and just for me. My whole family fell in love with her and her store. My mother, sister and flower girl dresses all came from her store. My flower girls and sister came in from Michigan to have their dresses custom fitted to them by Skye who did whatever it took to make their schedule work with hers. I can not wait to have a reason to go get another dress from Skye. I already miss visiting her! All of Jewlery and my head piece also came from this store.

Skye and her team at House of Couture Designs are incredible! Skye helped me choose the perfect dress and then an equally perfect second dress to party in! The alterations were perfect. At the last minute, when I was nervous re: appearance of my arms, Skye came to the rescue and added sleeves which made me feel 100% confident on my wedding day. The store is lovely - plenary of space and huge selection of designers and styles in various sizes which really makes the trying on process so simple. We also got my mom’s mother of the bride dress here and it looked awesome! I can’t recommend House of Couture Designs more - the staff is exceptional and will help you find the perfect dress (and accessories!)

I wish I could give 6 stars. Meeting Skye was the biggest blessing throughout my wedding planning process. We met her back in her Sewickley store where my mom found her Mother of the Bride dress. She didn’t have it in store at the time but went out of her way to find a previous owner’s dress for my mom to try on, because when my mom knows what she wants she knows…. On my moms last alteration’s appointment, which was 2 weeks prior to the wedding, Skye was asking about all the final details and I broke down crying about my current wedding dress I had gotten elsewhere. She immediately told me to try on a dress that had just came into the store and I was thinking she was crazy, I mean I was getting married in TWO WEEKS!!! She was adamant on telling me that you have to love and feel comfortable in your dress and that she was going to help me find that. I put that dress on and just KNEW it was meant for me, I fell in love and never wanted to take it off, it made me feel like a princess and in that moment I’ll never forget the feelings that came over me, the feelings a bride is suppose to have when she finds the dress of her dreams and Skye ordered it that day, came in within 2 days and ended up fitting perfectly. Skye goes above and beyond for you to make sure you feel like the most beautiful bride on your one and only wedding day! I could not be more thankful and more obsessed with my dress.

As the mother of the bride and as a mother of my first daughter to get married I knew I wanted a very special dress! I found a dress online and searched every boutique to find this one particular dress and no one had it, no one offered to even order it for me so that I could try it on. When I found House of Couture Designs that’s when everything changed. Skye went out of her way, truly above and beyond and located the dress for me, had me come in to try on, and I fell in love with it! Thank you Skye for finding me the most beautifully stunning MOB dress! But the magic of Skye doesn’t end with just my dress! My daughter ordered a dress at a different boutique and when it came in she just wasn’t happy with it, they tried to alter it into what she wanted and it just wasn’t possible. She cried at every fitting, my heart broke every time! My daughter came to one of my fittings and was talking to Skye about her current dress situation, mind you her wedding now was two weeks away! Skye had her try on a dress and she absolutely fell in love! The tears, the smile, the glow will be etched in our memories and hearts forever. Skye made my daughter feel like the most beautiful bride in the world and she was just that! Skye is so talented on so many levels and is very caring and giving. She is so brilliant at what she does and the entire experience was nothing less then top notch! After a middling experience with the salon where I purchased my wedding gown, I brought the situation to Skye for alterations: I'm a curvy gal, and the gown I had in-hand was somehow both much too large and didn't have nearly enough room for my chest. Skye is a kind, frank, no-nonsense artist with the perfectionism and diligence you want in this kind of complicated project. She wrestled and wrangled the dress into shape, worked around my tight schedule, and all in the midst of moving her shop to a new location. For the most important outfit of your life, go to Skye - you'll be in the best possible hands.

My mom and I were so pleased with Skye. She did amazing alterations for our dresses and every fitting she paid attention to detail and gave us a personalized feel. She is so talented and has an amazing inventory of dresses and mother of the bride gowns. We couldn’t recommend Skye enough.

I highly recommend House of Couture Designs!!! I went there for a mother of the bride (step-mom) dress & was in awe of their selection of dresses! From the moment I walked into House of Couture Designs, until my last fitting, my experience was outstanding. I had previously visited more than 6 other bridal shops & unfortunately none of them had any styles that I liked, I almost gave up. I tried one last place, House of Couture Designs, so happy I did!!! As soon as I stepped into House of Couture & looked around, I knew the experience would be different as well as the dresses they were selling. Although I did not have an appointment, stylist Alex warmly greeted me. Let me tell you..their selection of dresses is absolutely stunning! Skye, the owner picks out her inventory and boy does she have an eye for fashion! One dress was prettier than the next. After having visited so many other bridal shops, Alex was by far the best consultant. She was thoughtful and sincere in her feedback on the dresses that I tried on & not pushy at all. Some dresses I liked, but she kindly pointed out things that I didn’t think of and steered me in the right direction to find the perfect dress. The owner Skye completed my alterations & did a fabulous job. She graciously worked with my tight time frame. I can’t thank both Alex and Skye enough for their help in finding me an absolutely gorgeous Step-Mom of the bride dress. Thank you both!

I went to 5 other bridal Salons prior to House of Couture and boy am I glad I didn’t purchase a dress from any of the other places. Skye is absolutely brilliant at what she does and the entire experience from the first visit to my last dress fitting was nothing less than excellent. In fact, both my mother I ended up saying “yes to the dress” in our very first visit (her dress being mother of the bride which they have gorgeous options for)!!! Her alterations are meticulously performed and as a result my gown is not only stunning but fits me like a glove. I would recommend this bridal salon and Skye to anyone looking for her perfect dress. I had the most INCREDIBLE and most MEMORABLE dress shopping experience EVER with Skye, the owner of House of Couture Designs, where I got my Mother-of-the-Bride dress. I’ll never forget stepping inside her boutique, taking in its beauty, and feeling like I was meant to be there. I can’t explain why, but I know that if you go there and meet her, you’ll “get” it. You just feel like you’re somewhere really special, and that’s because you ARE. Places like this don’t even exist anymore. Skye (and Grace) welcomed me, and I soon felt like I had known her forever as she helped me to navigate through her great selection of MOB dresses. (She also has a lovely collection of wedding dresses.) She is an AMAZING person…kind, warm, and truly genuine….and an EXPERT in her field. I felt like she a a good friend helping me to find a perfect dress and not a bridal consultant hoping to make a sale. Skye is also a seamstress (with terrific reviews), and I am excited that she will be altering my dress for my daughter’s September wedding. My experience with House of Couture was outstanding! I had limited time to get the alterations done and House of Couture went out of the way to do my alterations. The owner was clearly very experienced with handling every aspect of the fit, and in advising on every style element. She was patient, professional and accommodating. Skye is an amazing designer. I wanted to wear my mother's gown but the dress was too yellow, so she took pieces to recreate her gown and put them onto a new gown. It was a year long process but turned out absolutely stunning. Skye can do anything!

House of Couture/Skye is by far the "wedding QUEEN"! She stayed with us for several date changes, offered the most amazing choices of dresses and alterations. I had THE MOST INCREDIBLE experience with at House of Couture in Sewickley with Skye!!! From the second we walked in to 9 months later on our wedding day we felt like family. I am a curvy woman and felt extremely comfortable at my appt. Skye’s location is a beautiful intimate salon and it felt Perfect for making such an important decision for our special day. I LOVED working with Skye. I stumbled across her shop when I was looking for someone else to alter my wedding dress as I did not want to pay the salon's minimum where I got it - especially given that they wanted me to get a dress that was way too big even though I informed them that I JUST had a baby six weeks prior. Regardless - it led me to Skye! She was prompt and responsive - she got me in quickly once my dress arrived. She showed me everything that she would do, broke down the price, and even did additional work at a later fitting. Not to mention, her shop is gorgeous and she is fun and honest. I wish I would have shopped in her store for my dress and everything else. I actually came back to Skye for a bridesmaid dress alteration because I think not only is she an incredible seamstress and hard-working person, but she is very transparent with her pricing and she is fair! I hope she is okay with me and my little boy just popping into visit when we are in Sewickley once my need for alterations is over! Would pick Skye over and over again!! She is the BEST!

I was a plus sized bride with various health conditions that had me in and out of the hospital 6 times in the year leading up to my wedding. I posted in a Facebook bridal group that I was struggling to get it all done while sick, not even asking anyone for anything other than advice, and Skye direct messaged me. She asked if I had a dress and if I needed help with alterations on it because she could definitely help. And she did! 6 months after offering to help and after I had to cancel last minute once due to another hospitalization, I met up with Skye to look at my dress. She added straps to it so I wouldn’t struggle to keep it up since I walk with a cane. She added a bustle so I didn’t trip over my train after the ceremony. She was extremely easy to talk to and work with, even with all my issues she never even blinked. She’s an amazing person and I hope everyone gets to experience what I did when I went to her shop!

One of the best!!!! I found Skye through the Pittsburgh Wedding FB group and she just happened to be down the street from our venue. I thought not much needed altered but once she got her hands on it, it truly fit like a glove! Skye helped me pick the perfect veil and gave me my first true bridal moment. Skye is amazing. She took my great aunt’s wedding dress from 1953 and transformed it into my dream dress. She exhibited so much care when working with a family heirloom, and her dedication to detail is unmatched. She also custom made a short reception dress for me! I purchased a sample dress from her, and she cut it to the perfect length for a party dress that still felt bridal. Skye hand sewed flower decals all over the dress, and truly made it unique. I would recommend her alterations services and her boutique dresses to any bride. She is the best in Pittsburgh! I am forever grateful that I went to Skye to make the perfect dresses for my wedding.

Skye is a woman you want on your team, SHE IS THE ULTIMATE WEDDING GODDESS!!! I found House of Couture Designs by accident, 'lucky me'! It was but days before my daughters wedding (who lives in Chicago but getting married in Pittsburgh) and she and her sister really disliked the dress I had chosen. Wait, what? UGH this almost brought me to tears because I was walking my daughter down the aisle to her future husband. My daughter said, 'it might be almost impossible, but we are going shopping'. She wanted to first stop in Sewickley for something and lo and behold like angels out of heaven, there it is House of Couture Designs, a bridal salon. We looked at each other and said 'what the heck, can't hurt'. In we walk and this beautiful woman greets us 'with how may I help you ladies'? My daughter blurts out 'well my Mother needs a Mother of the Bride dress'. "Wonderful Skye says, when's the wedding"? My daughter blurts out again, 'oh in a few days and my mother's dress is ugly'. The look on Skye's face was quizzical but that sweet, amazing woman, said 'what color and get in a dressing room'!! Then she worked her MAGIC, when I say MAGIC I mean MAGIC!! My exquisite, black, flowing Mother of the Bride gown, made me feel like a queen as I walked my daughter down the aisle at Heinz Chapel. My daughter called the gown 'divine'!! Skye is the absolute BEST. She actually altered two wedding dresses for me over the course of our postponed wedding timeline. She added the most gorgeous belt into my dress - you would have thought it was a part of the design! Skye noticed every single detail and made sure the dresses were absolutely perfect before letting me walk out with them. She's a treasure and a true professional and expert in her craft!

We walked in there and I can tell you I was skeptical about finding a dress the first day of dress shopping, but with my wedding day coming up quickly at that point we hadn’t postponed just yet I was on a huge time crunch! My emotions, anxiety and super uncomfortableness with my baby body still, she started squeezing me into dress after dress, every gown getting more and more beautiful!! Skye took her time before my appointment asking me what I was envisioning, what I was seeing myself in, let’s just say that day, my first day, my ONLY bridal shop, I said YES to my dream dress!! Skye is INCREDIBLE. My wedding dress was several sizes too large, requiring a good bit of alterations. When I originally took my dress to another seamstress, she told me there was nothing she could do to make it fit. After working with Skye, my dress fit like an absolute glove. She even came up with some alteration ideas to make the dress even more perfect. I felt absolutely amazing in my dress thanks to Skye. I will never go elsewhere for alterations again. She is the absolute best!!!!!

Skye was great to work with. She altered my dress for our small reception last year, and when I tried on the dress again a week and a half before our big reception this year, it was a little snug in the hips. Skye got me in the next day and altered my dress again within a week so it was ready for the reception. Great service!

I was recommended this bridal studio for excellent bridal alterations. I was very pleased with my dress as it fit like a glove which is what I wanted. The dress was steamed and ironed very nicely and I actually got several compliments on the bussel as it was very easily placed. I was very impressed that my experience came with 4 appointments for one price. To explain more, I appreciated that I paid one price at the first appointment as I had heard at some places they charge each time you make a change during subsequent fittings. I was very pleased by the professionalism and communication with the studio. I appreciated that most communication was done via text. I felt super special and each time I came in for an alteration I felt more and more like a bride.

I had the best experience at House of Couture Designs. This was the first bridal store that I went to and my dress was the first one that I tried on. I had at 5-7 other appointments scheduled but I canceled them all after I found my dress. I also purchased my earrings from House of Couture. Skye did the alterations which was a nice added bonus. My dress fit like a glove. She had it steamed along with my veil for the Thursday before our Saturday wedding.

Skye is absolutely amazing! She will make your overall experience better than you could ever imagine. Her boutique is gorgeous, the array of dresses and accessories surpasses all expectations, she leads you in the direction of what is best for you and she is FUN!! If you don't pay her a visit, you are missing out <3 Side note: She told my niece she would have something for her if she was patient. We thought she would probably give her a lollipop, a piece of candy... When we got to the salon my niece was enamored by all the beaded clutches. What does Skye give her for being patient?? A beaded clutch! Literally have tears, again, as I type this. Her generosity isn't something that happens very often, she goes above and beyond in every way!

Skye is incredible. Her eye for fashion and what is going to make you a beautiful bride is impeccable. Not only is her dress selection on point, but she’s got the accessories to glam you out from head to toe. I cannot recommend her enough! Definitely make an appointment.

I went to see Sky (owner) for the mother of the groom dress. She was absolutely wonderful to work with. Since I only have one child I wanted my experience to be a wonderful one and Sky made that happen.

what a fabulous little boutique! the assortment of gowns is fantastic and the owner was extremely helpful. i really really liked that there were gowns with different colors available too. although I ultimately didnt choose my gown from House of Couture Designs I really liked almost everything I tried on. the assortment of jewelry and accessories are dazzling as well. i highly recommend hocd for dress shopping.

I originally found House of Couture Designs because I wanted a custom veil made and of course she was able to do it, but told me to bring my dress along so we could make sure the veil goes. When I tried on my dress for her, I started telling her all the different things I wanted to change about my dress and she told me that's what she specializes in! I ended up with a dress that was absolutely perfect for me and completely customized to what I wanted. If I would've went with the place I bought my dress from I would've spent at least triple and not have even gotten what I wanted! I also got a custom veil as well with LOTS of crystals!! I honestly can't stop looking at my dress because it truly was perfect!!!

I went here for my wedding dress alterations and Skye took my dress to the next level! The alterations she made were perfect and she even added a glitter layer to my dress that made it truly sparkle. My dress fit perfectly. I highly recommend going here!

This bridal salon has the most unique, classy, and memorozing wedding dresses I've ever seen. The same day I picked my dress, my mother and mother in law also choose theirs. The woman who owns the shop is so kind and personable. She made my experience easy and comfortable from the beginning to the end. She was an amazing sales woman and supported me throughout my entire dress journey (even when I got anxious and overwhelmed). I also got a veil, ear rings, and a head piece so it was a one stop shop. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SHOP TO EVERYONE!!!!

The bottom line is that anyone who DOESN'T go to Skye for their wedding dress alterations is crazy. I absolutely adored my dress, and it fit like a glove when she was finished with it. I completely trusted her opinion as far as what needed to be done. She made a few changes that I wouldn't have even thought of, but ended up making a huge difference in the fit of my dress. However, she was also honest in that she made suggestions that were cost efficient as well. Not to mention, she was so down-to-earth and easy to talk to during every fitting. Highly highly recommend!

Skye was amazing to work with. I was a covid bride and with everything constantly changing we ended up having a very small intimate ceremony with plans to have a reception a year later. Even though everything else changed and felt different due to covid, each appointment with Skye gave me a sense of feeling like a normal excited bride. She altered my dress to perfection and created the most gorgeous custom off the shoulder sleeves. I explained generally what I wanted and told her I trusted her... she could not have made my vision come to life any better. I also accidentally found the perfect veil and hair piece at her shop while going through the alteration process. She pulled a few pieces while we did the initial fitting and ended up pulling things that were exactly my style. I will certainly go back to Skye if I ever need dress alterations again.

I bought a dress on sale that was a size 14. Skye took the dress down to a 0 for me and it fit like a glove. The cutest little shop, too!! She will hook you up with perfect accessories. The whole experience with Skye was fabulous. Highly recommend!

Skye is an absolute joy to work with and is beyond amazing at her job. I had brought my dress to her to have altered during the midst of COVID and through all of the changes with my wedding, she was so accommodating and kept my dress safe there for much longer than expected. Every appointment I had, she made sure I felt perfect in my dress and was very reasonable from the start with her prices. Her work was phenomenal and my finished dress was more than a dream come true- my favorite part was the bustle she put on the end that really emphasized the scalloped edging on my dress as well as a handle piece she added so that I could hold my dress up. I highly recommend using Skye for any altering needs you have!

Skye is truly one of a kind!! I bought my bridal gown elsewhere and reached out to Skye in hopes of her altering it for me. I was a bit nervous bc my gown had A LOT of beading and lace detail - plus it was wayyyy too long on me. She basically had to redo the entire bottom and she did FABULOUS! No task is too big for Skye! Plus, she’s super fun to be around and such a down to earth gal! 10/10 would recommend Skye to any bride / mother of the bride/groom!

I was extremely worried when my wedding dress ended up being short on me due to the bridal salon measuring me wrong. At my appointment with Skye she had the bridal salon on the phone within minutes having them order extra lace so that she could fix it (on them). She really helped me avoid disaster here and my dress turned out so good you can't even tell she added on lace. She is the best!

Skye is absolutely amazing! She is so accommodating and easy going! She works very hard and it shows! I sadly ordered my dress at another place and got the completely wrong size and it was HUGE on me! Luckily I went to Skye and she did the most amazing job! I kept losing weight throughout the whole process and she still had amazing attitude even though I know I was annoyed myself! (Too much Covid stress I guess!) Skye is so funny, enjoyable to be around, relaxed, and let’s not forget INCREDIBLY TALENTED. The bustle she did on my dress was absolutely perfect!
