just in case they did have my grandma's dream dress. She practically booted us out the door asking if we had "just checked at a Dillard's instead" before we even made it to the slim pickings they had for wedding wear. We never even got to look through the racks she was so quick to shoo us out. I do not recommend going to shop for prom, bridesmaid, or whatever else you need solely based off of how we were treated by staff.

ble, I finally found one dress that was in my size... and mind you, I am right in the average for a plus size dress, not even an odd size that would be hard to find... but because of the poor service in the shop, I almost did not buy it. The shop also classifies itself as a pageant dress store, and good luck getting any help at all if someone comes in looking for a pageant gown while you are trying on dresses. At one point the saleswoman even said that if I were just smaller it wouldn't be hard to find a dress at all. They look down at you for being bigger, and will give you dirty looks for asking for/about dresses in your size. Once the other girls came in to look at the Pageant gowns, I was then ignored. After realizing that short of going to a larger city to find a dress, I didn't have much of a choice, I went to purchase my dress. There were signs hanging all over the walls and door saying that the wedding dresses were 30% off for their moving sale. When I went to pay for mine, however, she said that the sale was no longer going on. I pointed out that not only were the signs still up, but they did not have and end date anywhere on it, and that that was very misleading. She finally gave me 15% off of my dress, but that is the most she would do. I do not recommend this shop to anyone. Especially if you want to find your dream dress. It really is worth it to just travel the extra 2 hours and go to St. Louis. If you are a bigger bride like me, there is even one shop in St. Louis that can custom order and alter dresses for your size, I am not sure of the name though.

o. I came back about 2 weeks later to buy the dress. I tried it on again. I picked out a veil and a sash. The owner went to order the dress and she came back and said that the dress had been discontinued and she couldn't get it. She said they they hadn't received the list yet from that company telling them which dresses had been discontinued. She said my only option was to call around to other stores and see if they happened to have my size in the store. When I called other stores, I was informed that the dress had been discontinued for 5 years! Joyce's wasted my time by allowing me to try on a dress that wasn't available and they weren't very apologetic about it.
