He made my husband and I so comfortable for our engagement shoot. He captured who we actually are as a couple — our real smiles and chemistry. He took his time with us and was endlessly patient. On our wedding day, Mike was the calm in the storm. Perfectly on time, he kept us all on track with ease. He captured every single moment in a way that is so REAL, yet elevated and perfect. He had fun with us and was so creative, and the final product was better than I even dreamed. His second photographer, Billy, was also wonderful, talented and fun to be around. good practice for taking photos on your actual wedding day. He made us feel at ease in front of the camera and talked us through different poses. As we finalized details for the wedding day, Mike was super helpful in planning the day of timeline and helping us figure out what would be realistic. We managed to do a first look and fit in all of the significant family photos before our ceremony, which meant we got to actually enjoy our cocktail hour. We took a bunch of different group photos throughout the rest of the night as well. The photos were everything we hoped for! Definitely work with Mike!

a person. Weddings can be stressful, but Mike is wonderful at putting people at ease and making the whole experience as simple as possible. My husband and I are massive introverts, so it was a real gift to have a photographer who was happy to joke with us, get to really know us, and make us feel comfortable in front of the camera. For our engagement shoot, we also worked with his wife, MaryKate (they are adorable together, by the way!), and on the day of the wedding, his second shooter was Ronald. All three of them are wonderful photographers and just very cool people. If you're looking for a gifted photographer with absolutely no pretensions, then you have to book Mike.

he is fun, easy going, and professional. From the first time that we spoke with him, to the day of our engagement shoot, to the day of our wedding, it was like talking to a good friend. He genuinely seemed to enjoy being part of our wedding day and even humored me by taking a dance floor selfie with me. Mike is extremely accommodating - he realizes that it is your wedding and your photos. He does not try to force awkward poses or unnecessary photos on you - he involves you in the decisions and listens to and respects your opinion. We had an engagement shoot included within our package because Mike believes that it is important to get to know the bride/groom and their styles before the big day. The Photos The pictures in the portfolios on Mike's website speak for themselves. Mike has great vision and takes incredible photos. I especially liked his theory about photos - he wants you to have pictures on your walls and wants you to be able to afford to do so. You will get full printing rights for all photos and at cost printing through his lab. The photos don't have logos plastered across them, you have full access to print them however and whenever you want. The Value Most photographers have packages by the hour and then you pay by the hour for overtime. Mike gets there as early as you want to photograph you getting ready and will stay until the last dance of the night. Mike also brings a second photographer to make sure that pictures are captured from every angle and no moment is missed. All of this is included in one price, along with full rights to the photos from your engagement shoot and wedding day. Mike was by far the best overall value in all of the photographers that I searched. You will not be disappointed if you hire Mike Sperlak Photography for your wedding day. You will only be disappointed if you miss out on the opportunity since he will book up quickly!

photographs taken before but working with Mike was a breeze. We were able to be ourselves completely with no cheesy poses. Our photographs perfectly reflect our relationship. The day of our wedding Mike showed up from the very start. He also brought along a second photographer, which is standard for him, as well as a third photographer too! He was with us from the beginning of hair and makeup to the last song at night. Our pictures turned out absolutely beautiful and I got so many compliments on them..still do!!
