From the first song that was played at the wedding, we said to each other, whenever we get married – we have to hire this guy. Before we left the wedding, we asked who he was, and he gave us his card. My husband and I got engaged in March, 2018. The week of our engagement, we booked our venue, can you tell we knew what we wanted? We set the date for 11/2/2019. I whipped out the business card, which I had been guarding for two years, and the second phone call I made, was to MVP – Mike Vecchia. God-forgive me, I called Mike before we found a church. We knew for the past two years and we had no doubt - Mike was our guy. I didn’t even bother calling anybody else, because why would I? Mike, he was our guardian angel… He is so much more than a DJ… He is your entire party. I have absolutely no idea how I would have survived wedding planning without him. He fixed all my problems, and calmed all my anxieties. Mike discusses every detail, big and small to help guide you to make the best decisions for an amazing party. He will tell you if something doesn’t work well. He knows how to feed off the energy of the party, and precisely how to work the crowd to make sure every guest is having a good time. He made our wedding, unforgettable. Mike is a legend in our house, with our friends, and to every guest that attended our wedding. A good DJ, shows up and plays music. Mike is a GREAT DJ. We can’t thank him enough for how incredible our party turned out. He knew exactly how to make the party flow, and how to make the most out of our time. The marquee set up lit the room, and truly complimented our entire vision for ballroom. I can’t tell you how many guests have become me, and said – I WANT HIM, after leaving our wedding. Mike, thank you for EVERYTHING! You made our wedding everything we wanted and more. You turned it into an unbelievable, unforgettable night. BEST DECISION EVER! our conversations with him. He would do anything he could to accommodate our requests, including doing a test run at our hotel and reaching out to people to ask for stuff. He was always super responsive and if he couldn’t respond for a few days (because he was at another event) – he would let us know. We talked through the type of music we liked with him, our general vision for the ceremony and the night, and we felt like we were in good hands. He was always super flexible – we didn’t always know what we wanted from the beginning and Josh was patient enough to talk us through our options (for ex. what type of dance floor, what type of lighting, etc). He also connected us with the appropriate vendors as needed. For example, we wanted a white dance floor and he was able to deliver by setting us up with one of his contacts. One thing to note is that JRK does not know the entire range of Gujarati music to play during the ceremony, so you will need to look some of the less obvious ones up and have the songs ready – but he let us know of this ahead of time (he knew the basic ones, like “Pehlu Pehlu” though!). The day of the event was great. During the bharaat, Josh kept the group entertained and played the perfect mix of American and Bollywood music, while also keeping the crowd pumped – and this was at 9 am. And he catered to all of the requests (like garba) from parents as well. During the ceremony, Josh missed the manglashtak that we had requested during the ceremony, but otherwise everything went pretty smoothly. He did a good job with announcing photo groups post ceremony as well. During the reception, things went smoothly. JRK was pretty good at reading the floor and did a good job of balancing Bollywood and American music. He kept the crowd energized and engaged and was a strong emcee. He was really good at noticing our signals with regards to music as well. He did a good job of announcing all the family members and bridal party and even played a special mix as one of the entrance songs for the groomsmen (and it was a pretty ridiculous request). One thing we wish JRK did more of was play some songs that he mixes (we’re huge fans and love his Instagram posts). We think it would’ve been a lot of fun and very engaging for our crowd. Overall, we’d work with JRK and MVPDJs again.

dorable guestbook that was prepared for me with the photo lounge pictures the night of, to the exquisite glass sweetheart table, and of course my absolutely insane lightup cube dj display, everything that MVP does is just one step above the rest which is what makes your wddding truly standout! I highly recommend using their percussionist package on top of the DJ package, it was worth every penny and every single guest loved that my husband and I were able to get onto our lightup "stage" and go ham on the drums (we have amazing pictures to prove it!) Beyond that, Mike makes you feel special and really takes each couples requests and integrates them in a seamless way. Every person at our wedding said the dj & music were fabulous and the dance floor was jam packed all night! Look no further than MVP- it will be the easiest and best wedding vendor decision you make!
