Experience

Ariel Taranski is a freelance contributor to The Knot, having worked with bridal brands and companies throughout her career. She loves helping couples with their “best day ever” from engagement to honeymoon planning.

In her free time, she loves to play with her pups, read a good book, and travel with her fiancé to new and exciting places. And yes, she was named after The Little Mermaid, and it’s a point of pride for her.

Ariel began her foray into the wedding industry with local vendors and women-owned wedding brands. This eventually led her to The Knot, and it’s an opportunity she is quite enamored with! Her knowledge ranges from photography, venues, budget, design, and so much more. (Really, she’s happy to continue learning about this love-filled industry.) She continues to freelance for other brands close to her heart.

Ariel has spoken as a featured panelist at New York Comic-Con, where she also interviewed celebrities for written articles and podcasts.

Education

She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Memphis (go Tigers!) with a Bachelor of Arts in English, Creative Writing and a minor in Social Media Marketing. While in college, she interned with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Southern Bride Magazine, MuggleNet.com, and more amazing brands. She was also heavily involved in on-campus events and organizations.
