Jamie is a contributing writer for The Knot Worldwide, where she writes e-commerce content, with a focus on gift ideas, registry and planning advice. She has been writing about weddings, love and relationships for over five years.
Jamie lives in Brooklyn with her boyfriend and two cats, Lou and Linus. When she's not writing or reading, you'll likely find her scrapbooking, with either a romantic comedy or a crime show on in the background.
Experience
Ever since the second grade, Jamie knew she wanted to be a writer. Her love for reading everything from Harry Potter to Cosmopolitan gave way to a career writing for both print and digital publications, specifically in the realm of women's lifestyle. Now, she is a freelance writer for The Knot and a Digital Editor at the Rachael Ray Show.
Education
Jamie received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Writing, Literature and Publishing from Emerson College.
While working toward her degree, Jamie took magazine writing and publishing classes, including a topics in publishing class on creating a women's magazine or website. She worked as the Print Editorial Intern at Martha Stewart Weddings magazine and was the Life Editor at Her Campus Media. Jamie also led Emerson's Her Campus chapter for three years.
