Kate is a Content Optimization Specialist at The Knot Worldwide, where she uses data, industry knowledge and editorial expertise to strategically update key fashion articles. With over six years of experience creating digital commerce content, Kate has a talent for uncovering the industry’s best products and providing readers with best-in-class, authoritative shopping recommendations they can trust.

Kate is from South Texas and currently resides in Austin with her husband. When she’s not digging for the latest and greatest in fashion and beauty, you can find her testing a new chocolate chip cookie recipe, working on the New York Times crossword puzzle or snuggling up with her cats.

Experience

Shortly after graduating college, Kate moved to Austin, Texas, and began her career as a Staff Writer at Rank & Style. It was there that she discovered her passion for service journalism and just how possible it was to combine that passion with her shopping habits. Over the next five years, she went from writing and editing fashion and beauty articles to becoming the site’s Managing Editor, where she owned editorial and digital content operations and interviewed key industry executives like Anine Bing, Jesse Loeffler Randall, Sarah Flint and Jennifer Fisher.

Kate became immersed in the world of weddings through her love of graphic design. In her spare time, she’s created wedding invitations and signage for friends, family and celebrities through Dallas-based wedding planner and florist Gro Floral and Event Design (featured in Vogue, Over The Moon and Brides).

Education

Kate graduated from Texas A&M University with a BA in journalism and minors in both communication and design. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi fraternity.
