As in anything that is hand done, mistakes are often made, which is why it's so important to have those extra envelopes. Twenty-five extra envelopes would have made a big difference in this order - one of the challenges I had with the envelopes was that some of them "scratched" or wouldn't take the ink because of the finish on the envelopes - however, when I received them, there were not 25 extra, but 10 or 15. I tried to find comparable envelopes in the Baton Rouge area; when I met with you, I clearly saw that they didn't match and wouldn't fit, and my suggestion was not to force them and deal with an unsightly bulge, but rather to forgo the inner envelope on the those few that were left. At that time you mentioned you had to take a trip to New Orleans for something wedding related; I mentioned a place that I get my supplies from in the New Orleans area (as most of my business is done in the New Orleans area, so I have many reliable resources there for supplies, whereas options in Baton Rouge are limited) and assured you that they would have the correct envelopes in sets that matched. I stayed in Baton Rouge, because I wanted to be available to address your envelopes when you returned from New Orleans. I didn't mind waiting - I wanted to do whatever I could to fix the mistakes and provide you with a personal and caring degree of service, because all of my customers, and their satisfaction, are very important to me, and very much worth my time. Once you returned to Baton Rouge, I met up with you to address the envelopes. A day or so later, when you contacted me, I enquired about the types of mistakes you were referring to; all orders are proofed line by line before they are returned to the customer, and I was disappointed that you seemed to have additional errors with your order, though I wasn't expressing disappointment with you, but rather with myself, further mentioning that I hadn't had this happen before now. I was prepared to go to New Orleans myself, free of charge, to get replacement envelopes and make any necessary corrections, but upon my response, I never heard back from you. I am truly sorry that your experience with me was not a positive one. I appreciate your business, and your feedback. It will help me to provide better service in the future.
