Kevin from Advance Formal Wear was amazing to work with - he helped my dad pick out the perfect tux for my wedding, and was able to make quick alterations leading up to the big day. Kevin was incredibly kind to our family throughout the rental process, and we truly appreciated his hard work and superb customer service. Kevin was great to work with. Originally I had the idea of a blue tux and brown shoes. He talked me out of it and I’m happy he did. Our groomsmen, ring bearers, jr groomsman and father in law all looked so handsome. All the groomsmen were in a navy tux with black shoes, and our little guys were in a tux/suspenders with bow ties! My father in law was in a classic black tux. The only issues we had was he was trying to have one of my groomsmen get bigger size then he normally is and something snapped in one of our groomsman’s pants they were having issues with them the rest of the night!

This was a no-brainer, as my husband’s brother and good friend has used them for their weddings and they looked great! Kevin is super nice and gives great suggestions. He handled my grumpy dad who wasn’t sold on renting well, and fixed an issue of a groomsman losing weight and needing suspenders very well. I had no idea because it was hidden so well!! My husband, groomsmen and our dads looked great!! Would recommend them!!

Kevin from Advance Formal Wear was amazing! We had a large amount of groomsmen from many different states, and Kevin made the process seamless. Every suit fit perfectly! Kevin was also extremely helpful giving tips on what styles, colors, and schemes, etc. would work best with our vision. Our day, our pictures, and our groomsmen all looked just how we imagined and we can not thank Kevin enough!

I had originally gone to Men’s wearhouse for my wedding Tux for myself and groomsmen, and it was an absolute DISASTER!! The day before my wedding I went to try on my Tux and it was about 4 sizes too small, and men’s warehouse had NO solution. I immediately called Kevin, the owner of Advance Formal Wear in Rockville Centre, and he was BEYOND helpful. Kevin kept his shop open late for me to give me enough time to get to him, and completely saved the day. He measured me, fit me, and altered the tux for me all within 35 minutes. The tuxedo I rented from him was a quality, top notch tux. I could not have been happier with the service Kevin provided and the attentiveness he showed. The tux felt great, looked great, and I was confident for my wedding the next day. Kevin was an absolute life saver. My only regret was not going to Advance Formal Wear from the start! Like I said, Kevin was professional, hardworking, and delivered an amazing product for a better price then men’s Wearhouse. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Advance Formal Wear of RVC for any event!

Great place! I forget his name but the guy working with us was super helpful when we were picking out what color/type of tux we wanted and had great tips and comments about the different styles. Very accommodating with pickup times for all of the groomsmen. My husband even got his tux free because he had enough groomsmen. Tux’s were in great condition and overall a great experience.

Kevin at Advance Formal Wear is AMAZING, we went to Advance formal wear to get the tuxedos for our wedding and Kevin could not have been more helpful. The tuxedos were so perfect and the service was amazing. We had to refit the tuxedos for our groomsmen a few times and Kevin could not been more helpful each time and he helped us figure out exactly what would look the best for our big day. Everything looked amazing and we are so happy that we were able to work with Kevin. Thanks to the Team at Advanced Formal Wear for everything and the amazing Tuxedos.

Couldn’t have found a more professional shop to rent from. Kevin made the whole process so easy, from the moment we first went to look at different styles of tuxedos up until renting and returning them. We had an oversees wedding with 10 groomsmen! All tuxedos looked amazing -especially considering the fact that every groomsmen was a different size / height. The guys all looked so sharp, can’t wait to see the pictures. Advance Formal Wear had excellent service, friendly staff, and a great selection of tuxedos. They have great options for current trends. The prices were quite reasonable. The groomsmen looked awesome at the wedding! If you are located near Rockville center, I highly recommend using this place!

HUGE SHOUT OUT to Advance Formal Wear in Rockville Centre. I recently used Kevin to help out with our annual Fashion Show at the local senior center and his expertise and generosity was overwhelming. All of our male models looked so handsome in all the latest styles of suits and tuxedos. I would highly recommend him for any of your future formal events.

We had a black tie wedding and last minute decided to get a tux for my husband. We called 2 hours before the church and Kevin could not have been any more accommodating. He had my husband perfectly fitted in a tux within a half hour. He was able to tailor it on the spot. The best part was how pleasant the experience was. My husband could not stop talking about how nice Kevin was and it made our day to be dressed so nice for the big event! Highly recommend!

As the father of the bride I wanted to make sure I looked perfect! I started out at the chain where the groomsmen were fitted and was not satisfied with their style choice or fit. I remembered the family owned shop that has been in RVC for years and walked in after my prior discouraging appointment and was immediately greeted by Kevin. In the midst of fitting another group of gentlemen for an upcoming birthday event he was able to size me an understand the look I was trying to rock!!!! I came in a few days before the wedding and tried everything on and aside from a minor sleeve adjustment my tux looked and fit amazingly. I got so many compliments on my attire and I’m so grateful for Kevin’s expert advise and opinion. Advance is the way to go!!!! Thanks Kevin.

Used Advance Formal for huge wedding party with 13+ suits ... We certainly were a challenge given we had sizes that ranged from our two elementary school ring bearers, to our plus size father of bride. We had out of staters, and even one groomsman from out of the country. The store hours were very flexible and we were even accommodated with an after hours pickup as well. All suits fit perfectly and the staff was spot on with alterations that were needed. Great experience !

We met Kevin at a wedding expo and he was the only vendor we found in that way. Simply put, I thought he had the best product and experience. They own the clothing and can adjust as needed on the spot. Price was comparable to larger shops, plus its great to support a local business. Would recommend for sure.

Kevin and the guys at Advance are the best! I've gone to them twice now including for my wedding with 10 groomsmen. Two of them were from out of state and 4 lived in the city. Nevertheless, Kevin went above and beyond to accommodate them. Each time the tuxes fit perfectly and I was guided every step of the way, making the process extremely simple and worry-free.

My husband never looked more handsome. Kevin helped him with everything and anything he had questions on.. never wore a tux before so being a little nervous he reassured him.. the place itself is easy and relaxed but with beautiful tuxedos. Would definitely rexommend and also if need be return for another event! Parking available on the side or across the street ..

Ive rented suits before, but I can honestly say that Advance Formal Wear is the only place I would recommend. Professional, great quality and a very large selection. We had the entire wedding party looking great! I've gone back for rentals on tuxedos for other weddings and they continue to impress.

9/10 The tuxes were great except for the best man. Our best man is a large guy, so they basically gave him what fit, but his sleeves were huge and you could see the inside of the jacket sleeve since they were short… it was weird. They also claim we didn’t turn in all the rented shoes, but definitely did and no one has them? He hasn’t charged us for them yet…but we basically are just waiting for the phone call for him to do so. My Husband wore tails!!!!! And he looked AMAZING in them!

Brian and Kevin did an excellent job on our wedding, accommodating to all of our needs some even extreme. Delivery was flawless and timely. I love the family environment and attention to detail. I pass 100's of tuxedo stores to get to this one because when they're the best there is you travel to get there. I've been back since for additional events and wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Cheers boys keep up the good work and I'll be back for sure.

Getting our tuxes for our wedding here was the best decision ever! They were so professional and really guided us through the whole process! They were accommodating with appointment times as well as pick up and drop off times. All of the men looked amazing! Thank you so much!

This is by far the absolute worst tuxedo place! I went to them for my own wedding after having fantastic experiences with them in the past. I don't know what happend to this place. When I went in, I explained that I had a few groomsmen that were on the larger side. The owner said no problem. Not only were there multiple problems with the larger gentleman, but they couldn't even properly accommodate my ring bearer and my 9 year old nephew. They need to change protocol and not tell people they can accommodate all sizes if they clearly cannot. Normally, I do not like to give bad reviews, but they made my life a living hell. Not cool. Stay away.

We went to the name brand tux rentals and were very unhappy with the service so we stopped at Advance since it is close to our home. Kevin was amazing to work with. He price matched and owns the tuxes (so no waiting for them to come in). He did a few minor alterations on site and was a true joy to work with.

We had more than one groomsman coming in from out of state who did not own formal attire, so renting tuxes was going to be a challenge. Advance Formal Wear met our every need. They dealt with me being a little nuts about matching the bridesmaid dresses to the vests and coming in five times to check the colors. They took measurements over the phone for our of state groomsmen and tailored them the day of the wedding to make the fit perfect. We shopped around to get the best price for our friends and family, and these guys did better than even the big chain stores. Plus all of the personal service and invaluable educating they provided for us (my husband didn't know a pleated pant from a flat). Definitely rent or buy from them. You'll get what you need and establish a lifetime relationship with a local business.
