rals and reviews when choosing a caterer. At the time I was more concerned with the quality and taste of the food and CDE was highly recommended by several people. Part 1: Planning I think there could have been some improvement with the planning part. I don't think they've worked with too many out of town clients. They were difficult to reach by phone and were slow to call back. Most of the time I'd get the voice mail and leave a message and when I did get a call back, I was always given an excuse for the delayed response that usually involved a problem with the phone system or an urgent family matter. And when I did reach a person, I was often told that they were too busy to talk to me at that moment. I got this response A LOT. The response time was better via email, but still a little slow (in my opinion). I tried to take their being busy and the lack of communication as a sign they are good and everyone is using them and that's why they have no time for me. The weird part (for me) was that I kept trying to send them money, I kept offering to send them a deposit, but they'd say well let's discuss your menu further then go from there. Finally about 2 weeks before the wedding we finalized the menu choices and instead of a deposit I just paid in full at that time...So, it all worked out, but I worried nearly non-stop for the six months prior that they were going forget about me or release my date and give it to someone else and I'd end up serving Costco pizza's at my wedding. At one point I even started to look around for a different caterer, but by then everyone else was already booked! Having said that...the execution of the event and the food was awesome! The servers were friendly and attentive, the food was very good, especially the steak, we got many compliments on the steak. They really did a great job and redeamed themselves in my eyes. So I give them 2 stars for planning and 5 stars for execution (incluing quality and taste) so an average score of 4 stars. My experience in the planning phase may have been isolated and perhaps it was me? Maybe I could have been or needed to be more pushy, so I wouldn't let that deter you. Ultimately you will be saticfied with the end product!!

mething traditionally on their menu. They even set up a tasting and allowed for minor changes to any of the dishes, though none of them needed any! The food, presentation, and most of all professional and friendly service was more than we could have asked for. They did such a great job on our limited budget and everyone raved about how beautiful and appetizing the food was!! I would HIGHLY recommend them!!!
