In our email correspondence, I expressed concern about making sure we had a schedule that would work and not add to the stress of the day. I sent a detailed itinerary, filled out the form she provided, and asked for Holly's opinion on how the day should work. She didn't offer solutions, but said what wouldn't work. On the day of, Holly arrived at the salon and seemed rushed and irritated. Little care was taken to avoid the hair on the salon floor when Holly was taking pictures of my dress, we had to lint-roll my dress before I could put it on at the chapel. The photography for entire day felt rushed, I had to put my dress on before my mom arrived because we were running out of time. I met my groom for a first look, only one of the photos of that moment looks like it was edited. Holly took photos of the grand entrance and we cut the cake immediately because we knew she was going to leave shortly. In all of the chaos of trying to make sure we got pictures in time, Holly never offered to stay longer to accommodate the flow of the day...most services I hired offered to extend their services for an additional fee, and I would have been happy to pay it in this case. It was obvious that Holly wasn't in the best mood. She never introduced her assistant, I still don’t know what her name was. I didn't feel that Holly added to our celebration, and my entire family commented that she seemed cranky. Upon receipt of my wedding photos, I was ultimately disappointed. Many of the pictures look like any average person might have taken them, and in most of the ceremony photos our faces are contorted in the midst of changing expressions. The traditional photos look disheveled, the assistant didn't move anyone, so the balance of the group looks off in most of them. Before Holly left, I had to sign a waiver for the lighting, which left me feeling concerned that I wasn't going to like most of my pictures... and I didn't. To be fair, Holly did deliver the photos in a reasonable amount of time. I just really feel that she didn't spend much time making them look the way her samples did. Unfortunately, I would not recommend Holly to other brides. I normally would not post a negative review, but I really feel that I made an intentional effort to make sure the photography ran smoothly, and I don't feel that equal effort was met on Holly's part. Holly's fee was on the lower end of what I found as I did my research, and in hindsight, I'd recommend to brides that they should shell out for photography and cut expenses elsewhere.

I remember stressing over things like: -Will he/she be able to capture the natural, emotional moments organically or will the photos look posed and uncomfortable ? - Will he/she have the artistic style that I am looking for or will the photos turn out ordinary and flat? - Will I have to worry about the photographer all day or will he or she manage this part of my day like a professional? After meeting with Holly I was comfortable in selecting her as my photographer as her work was beautiful and she presented herself as a professional. I wish I could put into words how happy and relieved I was with my decision. The pictures turned out absolutely beautiful and she captured every moment with a the proper tone (fun, romantic, etc.) She was on time had an excellent assistant who made my day special and worry-free. Selecting your wedding photographer is a very personal decision... I can however share that my experience with this photographer was superb. My highest recommendations to Holly Dawn. You will not be disappointed.

Holly was not only the sweetest person I have met, but she made me, my husband and my wedding party feel so comfortable throughout the day. Holly's eye for detail is superb and not only does she catch small details that can be removed from the shot to make it perfect, but her assistant is quick to note these details as well. Holly made this day fun by letting us be ourselves and not only capturing the love on this day, but also our fun side. She had us laughing on multiple occasions, which was also captured in our photos. The cost for Holly's services was about the same I paid for my previous photographer and was well worth every penny! The photos are GORGEOUS and will be treasured forever. I highly recommend Holly Dawn Photography for any newly engaged couple looking for top notch photography services.

ng her lower is because she was unwilling to capture goofy moments at that we requested throughout the day. My husband and I are silly by nature, and when we asked her to do certain pictures that we had in mind, she declined saying that she was a "romantic photographer." We were frustrated by her unwillingness to accommodate our requests, even if it wasn't something she traditionally does. Her price for the day was steeper than we were hoping to pay, so that made us even more frustrated that she wouldn't take a couple silly pictures to capture our personalities. While the photos turned out great, we would have preferred working with someone focused on capturing our personalities, not their own. However, our second photographer from Holly Dawn Photography, Alison, was so much fun to work with on our wedding day. She allowed the groomsmen to be goofy during their photos and those are some of our favorite shots from the day. Alison also coordinated and staged most (if not all) of our group photos, and she was so sweet and polite when working with our families. Alison was the most flexible and helpful photographer on our wedding day, and we would definitely recommend working with her!
