I loved my wedding dress. The experience here at Miosa Bride was great! I tried on so many dresses and ultimately found my dress. It was an amazing experience.
Going to Miosa was an amazing experience! They were so helpful and truly listened to what I wanted in my dream wedding dress!
I had such a great experience shopping for my wedding dress at Miosa Bride! They were so helpful, patient, and asked me personal questions to better understand the type of dress I was looking for. Such a fun and efficient experience!
My dress was absolutely stunning. I chose not to have alterations done at Miosa but they were very professional and accommodating. When my veil came in, i was worried it was the wrong color and wouldn't match my dress. They offered to let me come back in and compare it to the one i tried on in the store and offered to order me something else, but i ended up keeping it and it was beautiful. Great, friendly, and professional service.
I found my dress yesterday!!! My stylist was Megan and she was FANTASTIC!!!
My family and I have been going through so much lately and needed some fun and positive light, and Megan delivered. We all had fun picking dresses to try. Megan actually picked the dress I chose. And I love it!!! She stayed a hour and a half after closing to help me select my dress and do the necessary paperwork to get the dress and veil ordered for my wedding next May (2025).
I am so grateful to Megan and the staff at Miosa Bridal for such a beautiful experience. They have definitely earned my 5 star review.
My dress was absolutely stunning and the alterations made it fit like a glove. I was truly a princess.
I really had a great experience at Miosa for buying my wedding dress. I was a little late to the game in purchasing my dress and the stylist worked with me to make sure I had the best experience possible. First, I am mid-size and won’t fit in the smaller samples. My stylist was very cognizant of how squeezing into a too-small dress would make me feel and found alternatives to what I was interested in that offered larger samples so I could be clipped in instead of squeezed in like a sausage. She was also super thoughtful in the pricing, being mindful that my final budget would need to cover expensive alterations and after everything was said and done, I came out under budget. The fitting process was easy and seamless, and my dress came out truly beautiful. I got so many compliments from my unique dress and wish I had an excuse to wear it again! I highly recommend Miosa, they are a Sacramento staple for a reason!
Absolutely loved this bridal salon! It was so beautiful and our stylist Daniel was perfect for us. 10/10 would recommend, and safe for same-sex couples like us!
Daniel at Miosa was so helpful in picking out my dress and the other staff & seamstresses were lovely in the alterations process. They even fixed a little issue on pick up day in 30min. Highly recommend.
Did an amazing job through and through!! The dress buying process was easy (bought my dress on the first visit) and they do a great job at making you feel beautiful! Alterations were also done by them and the dress came out perfect!! I lost 30 pounds between purchasing the dress and the wedding and you NEVER would have known the dress was once hanging on me. So thankful!!
I had a fabulous experience at Miosa Bride and found my dream dress on my very first appointment! Although it was a busy Saturday afternoon, we were lucky to have a private room for me and my 5 guests. Miosa also came in clutch with wifi so we could tie my mom in via FaceTime. Sofia was amazing and pulled great dress options. She was quick in helping me in and out of dresses which allowed me to maximize my 2 hour appointment and try a variety of styles. She was very respectful of my budget and made sure to let me know if something she was pulling based on my requests would put me over that budget. Once I narrowed in on my favorite dress, Sofia added a veil that tied it all together and I was immediately sold (and teary eyed!). I highly recommend coming to Miosa for your wedding dress and definitely recommend requesting Sofia. Cannot wait to wear my dream dress on our big day!
I worked with Sofia and she was great! I described a few elements of what I liked and every single dress that she pulled for me to try on was beautiful. I had a great experience at Miosa Bride, Sofia had great customer service and was wonderful to work with. Not only that, I said YES to the dress!
My experience at Miosa was fantastic! I ultimately found a gown elsewhere, but as my first wedding dress shopping experience, my appointment was enjoyable and relaxing! There was no stress or pressure, and Sophia listened to all of my feedback for each dress!
Everything about my experience at Miosa was 10/10 AMAZING. Deja asked all the right questions and brought the most perfect dresses. She made everything so easy and comfortable. Miosa has a wide selection of dresses for any style. The Sacramento store is absolutely gorgeous!
They have AMAZING staff there! Everyone is so nice! I had Mia and she was seriously incredible! She was so fun and really listened to what I was saying and brought me great dresses! She was so supportive and really made the day so special for myself and my group that came with me. Highly recommend this bridal store- the aesthetic of it all is stunning and they have any and every dress style you can think of!
It was just all around the best day ever and I 10/10 recommend. Request Mia!!!
Miosa was the best bridal experience we could have asked for. Daniel was the best bridal consultant we could have imagined. I felt comfortable, heard, and Daniel sampled incredible dresses including the one. Daniel and the selection were amazing, 10/10!
Miosa has been so wonderful! From the day that I went in to find my dress they treated us so lovely. The employees all make you feel so beautiful. The dress arrived right one time and they were flexible and accommodating to go to their other location in Folsom for alteration when their J street location closed.
I'm originally from California, but I currently live in Texas and only went here because I wanted to have the dress shopping experience that we all dream of with my family who still lives near Sacramento. Going into it, I KNEW that I wasn't going to find my dress. Mainly because my body isn't where I want it to be, but hey. Lol. However, I couldn't have been more wrong! My consultant, Deja (I hope that's how you spell it), was absolutely AMAZING! Through all of my body shaming moments, she was there telling me how beautiful and stunning I was in each and every dress, and by the end of the appointment, I found my dream dress! She was very personable, and she truly listened to my thoughts and ideas of what I wanted from the get go. She picked beautiful dresses that I didn't even think that I would like but still fell within my wedding image, and that's exactly how I found my dress. I truly don't think that I would've found my dress without her!
I had an amazing time at Miosa! This was the first bridal dress shop I went to and I was so nervous. I was nervous because I don't like trying on clothes and I didn't think I would find anything. Daniel was amazing. The first two dresses were mehh... but he listened to me and brought me my DREAM dress! I am so happy with my experience and I was the third person in my friend group to say yes to the dress at Miosa Bride!
I went to Miosa bride for my bridal consult and I worked with Daniel. I wasn’t very excited for my appointment since my friends and family couldn’t be there, but Daniel made it so fun! Daniel was great at really listening to me and pulling amazing dresses that I wouldn’t have ever found on my own! The store was clean and beautiful and my experience there was fantastic from start to finish.
Miosa was the second bridal shop I went to and the final one as well. My consultant Aracely was amazing, she really understood my likes and dislikes. When I asked to try on a different style dress, she took into consideration of details I liked from the other dresses. Putting all those fine details together she picked out the most beautiful dress! Aracely was easy to talk to, gave great advice, and made me feel comfortable through the whole process. Definetly have to stop by this bridal shop to find your dream dress! 5/5 experience!
Miosa was my fifth and final stop in my hunt for my wedding dress. I loved the ease of making an appointment online, the beautiful and elegant shop, and the super friendly staff. Alex was AMAZING!! He listened to my likes and dislikes and what I was looking for. His upbeat attitude, attention to detail and overall kindness assured me we would find my dress. He pulled THE dress and the decision was made. I used Miosa for alterations as well. The whole process was seamless which was very impressive during all the craziness in 2020. I highly recommend Miosa and if you can, ask for Alex. You won’t regret it!
Dress 5/5. Ease of purchase 5/5. Stylist 4/5. But the shop 2/5.
The stylist took all my notes on the first few dresses and found me literally the perfect one with all the things I loved about the others combined. The dress is perfection and it arrived early which was fantastic. However, it was slightly over budget, which I didn't find out until after it was already on and I was in love. And the shop was insanely busy, which having booked my appointment over a month in advance, I was disappointed at the lack of privacy. You can hear and see all the other groups packed into that small space. I wasn't expecting to have the place to myself or anything, but it is chaos in there. The stylist didn't rush me at all, but I still felt pressured to not take the full appointment time.
I had a really interesting time with Miosa. I would recommend it to other brides, but I gotta say it was a strange time on occasion. I ended up trying on about 10 dresses here before I found the one. Got those butterflies in my stomach and everything. We ordered the dress that day and about 2 months later (less than that really) the dress was in!! Much to my surprise, since they give a window of about 6 months. I was able to come in and pick up the dress or let them hold onto the dress for about $150-ish. I opted to come pick up the dress, since we budget brides gotta save where we can and that ended up being a blessing. Their Sacramento location got hit pretty bad by the riots in June 2020, but they were able to direct me to their Folsom location for my first fitting in July 2020. First fitting went great and so did second fitting. In fact, I was able to bring the dress home during that second fitting! so I had my dress about a month before I though I would. It fit fantastic on the day off as well and I looked and felt amazing. The only hiccup I had was the buttons. On my dress I had buttons down my back, and for whatever reason(even my consultant was confused), the dress first came in without any of the buttons. She assured me she would call the next day and get them ordered. I remember calling them much later to schedule my first fitting and mentioning the buttons again. The man I spoke with mentioned he would be sure they were there. So I'm not sure if that meant they had already gotten the buttons or not. I think that was a problem with the original manufacturer, not with Miosa. Bottom line is they had them in shop by the time the first fitting was beginning, and that's what matters most. I'm grateful to Miosa. Because of them, I had the perfect dress for the perfect day.
Miosa was the one and only shop I went to for a handful of reasons. The largest being this was the shop my sister wanted to take me to before she passed away. Unfortunately she never got the chance to come with me to my dress shopping day. The staff was polite, professional and overall lovely. I was able to find my dress and get alterations done without any issues. Their new location in Folsom is absolutely adorable!!!!! Thank you everyone for all the help!
Miosa was our third bridal shop experience and absolutely the best! Alex was amazing to work with. He listened to my ideas and brought out beautiful dresses for me to try on. After listening to my critics of each of those dresses he said, "I have a dress in mind, let me go get it," and it was THE dress. I ended up saying YES, to the dress in under an hour. Thank you, Alex for making my Miosa experience the absolute best.
Ladies I usually do not leave bad reviews but I have to spread the word about my experience and the HORRIBLE customer service with the owner Michael Summerfield at Miosa Bride. I went shopping close to the last day before the mandatory close of shops. I was the last and only customer in the store and felt very PRESSURED to buy a dress that day or else I wouldn’t have one for my wedding in late OCtober.
The ladies helping my friend and I were making statements like “I don’t want to bring more dresses out because you need to make a decision”. “You are running out of time” “you need to make a choice and buy” it honestly put a negative spin on what should have been a wonderful experience for me. She then proceeded to tell me the date of when a dress would arrive and how important it was that I bought that day which I later found out was a flat out LIE!!!
24hrs after putting down a deposit for a dress that would not even come until middle of September I reached out to the business to cancel the order because I didn’t feel right about it and the way things went down at the store. I had asked to either cancel my order or allow me to put the money towards another dress at their shop. I was then told “no” and that you are stuck with it. I found out the owner Michael Summerfield didn’t even reach out to the dress maker to attempt to stop the order or even work something out. He did nothing!! I was told to go out and try to sell the dress myself and pay for another dress. He didn’t give a thought or care how he was affecting his customer.. he DOES NOT care about his customers or that this is a life memory for a woman! SHAME on him and his company. I will be spreading the word to other women and sharing this to anyone I can because this is wrong. I hope this complaint is taken seriously but I wouldn’t be surprised if the company didn’t reach out because this is how they do business.
Oh, Miosa...my heart just flutters every time I think back to my experience with Pauline. She was so patient, warm, and, most importantly, she made each visit an absolute ball. The level of service and the depth of their collection blew me away. We found THE dress within two visits, and it fell way under budget! Thank you Pauline and Miosa, for giving the experience and dress of my dreams.
I was really disappointed in Miosa, as I had heard rave reviews from friends that had gotten their dresses here and had loved it. Starting off, I walked into a packed entryway that was complete chaos and Miosa staff didn't seem to have a good system of dealing with it. I had set an appointment and after being checked in, myself and my entourage of 3 got pushed into a corner to wait for my consultant.
My consultant greeted us maybe 5 minutes later and escorted us upstairs where she proceeded to tell me (in front of my MOH and family members I had brought with me) that she would be placing me in plus size gowns and that she had brought me to the "plus size room" where I would be "out of the way" from other bridal shoppers. I immediately felt ashamed of my body and I felt like my consultant didn't feel like I deserved to be shopping at Miosa.
The consultant then proceeded to ask what kinds of gowns I saw myself in, but allowed my voice to be drowned out by my mother's when the consultant asked what dresses my mother would like me in. My mother, being old fashioned, told her she would like to see me in modest dresses. The consultant pulled dresses to fit my mother's style instead of mine, so I spent my entire appointment trying dresses on that I wasn't entirely thrilled with.
I knew my appointment was set to be a two hour appointment, but I found myself wishing it would be over sooner and wanting to end the appointment. I found myself HATING the experience and almost in tears (and not the good kind) in the dressing room.
I know other brides have had good experiences with Miosa, but from my experience, if you're not an under size 10 bride, it's not a good fit.
(In case you're wondering, I gave Miosa two stars due to selection and the fact they have alterations on premises)
I can't recommend this bridal boutique enough. Shelby was helping me and each dress that she brought out was closer to my dream dress. And when we found the dress, it was within my price range and just stunning. She was a pleasure to work with!
Miosa was such an amazing bridal shop. I knew I had found my dress once I tried on the first one! Every fitting was wonderful and they made me feel at ease as a bride.
I loved the experience I had at Miosa in picking out my dress. Each person that I worked with was so kind and willing to help in any way I needed. They have a beautiful set up in their store and so many options of dresses for any style a bride would want!
Amazing experience from start to finish! Thanks to everyone at Miosa!!
I went to several bridal shops looking for the perfect dress and none compare to Miosa! The selection is HUGE, the vibe is amazing, and the staff truly listen to you. I was able to find my perfect dress within 15 minutes of being in the shop. Amazing! Amazing! Amazing!
I said yes to the dress at miosa bridal and I’m in total awh and I love it so much Danial was the BOMB.com and I recommend them to ANY bride looking for the most beautiful dress you will definitely find it here!!!! I’m so in love with my dress!!!!
I had a great experience with Miosa up until the point where I had my last fitting. I found earrings that I loved, and asked to order them. They told me it would take 1-2 weeks, but after that, I never heard from them. Luckily, my mom called about them and they had never put in the order. It was so close to my wedding date at this time that they literally received the earrings the day before my wedding. Thank goodness. From there, things did not get any better. After my new husband and I entered our wedding reception, we went to give hugs to our friends and family. I hugged ONE person, and the strap to my dress broke, almost exposing my chest. I was extremely lucky to have a friend that works in a bridal shop in a different state, and we had to leave the reception and sew the strap. Unfortunately, after this one attempt, it did not hold. I went back in to hug my grandmother, and my strap snapped again. Because of timing, I had to eat dinner without a strap on and sit through speeches with no strap in my pictures. We had to leave the reception again before first dances and reinforce the strap multiple times. The day after my wedding, I called Miosa and they said to bring it in when I got back from my honeymoon. I did just that the morning right after I returned. They told me they would fix it, took pictures of it, and that they would be contacting the designer. That was in early November and no one followed up with me. I called again in December and was told they were still ‘following up’ and that they would get back to me. Up until me calling them again in MARCH, I had not heard from anyone. I was told the store manager was gone and that she would call me back. I heard nothing, so I called again today only to be told that they were going to do nothing about my dress. They completely blamed the manufacturer, stating that they are ‘just the middle man.’ I have also worked in retail, and a lot of retail places are the ‘middle man,’ but you still back what you sell. The new store manager told me the owner was not going to do anything about it either. The fact that no one contacted me, and now they are not going to back their own dress is extremely unprofessional. I lost close to 15lbs to ensure the dress was not too tight, and I didn’t even drink because I didn’t want anything to happen to it...just to have a dress that Miosa sold me break with no provocation and with no follow through. I am thoroughly disgusted and disappointed. No one should purchase a wedding dress with the fear of it breaking and having to miss out on multiple parts of their own reception.
I'm happy to report that Miosa bride was absolutely amazing and made me feel absolutely special, beautiful and welcome as a plus size bride! I had a wonderful time with my stylist, Jennifer, as well as stylist/manager Meagan who dropped by to provide some assistance. Making an appointment online was super easy, and they called me a few days ahead of time to get details like my preferences, budget and size. The appointment went very well. I felt totally comfortable, supported and I never felt like I was being bullied into making a sale. It truly felt like they wanted me to have a good time and find "my dress." The stylists went above and beyond, listening to all of my thoughts and offering suggestions for ways we can personalize the dresses to make them exactly what I was looking for. They also allow you to take photos of the dresses (even without purchasing) and they don't hesitate to tell you the exact price of everything and the designers. I am really impressed by this because I feel like so many other stores have shady policies about knowing the price/designer and taking photos. I would definitely recommend Miosa for any sacramento brides, especially plus sized brides!
I did lots of research before going wedding dress shopping to avoid the horror stories I've heard about. As a plus size bride, I think it can be really difficult to shop for your wedding dress because of all the fear an anxiety about fitting into the sample sizes as well as not being treated very well or being judged for your extra lumps. While researching, every plus size designer I found online was carried at Miosa. In store, they have tons of plus size options which can be ordered up to size 30-32. The offer many sample dresses which seem to range from size 20-24, so there are lots of dresses available for you to try on. Even if you're a larger size than the samples (I am), the dresses are still totally wear-able. The dresses didn't fit well initially, but each time the stylists helped to show me exactly what the dress would look like on me with a correct fit (yay for clamps and helpful stylists!). When in doubt, the stylists just snipped open the seams to help me fit so I never once had an issue getting into the dress (absolutely none of that BS where they hold the dress up in front of you since you can't get inside!). Finally, no one ever made me feel bad or negatively about my body. They helped to make me feel really beautiful during my appointment, and I never once felt like a burden or that I was "uglier" than their skinny customers.
If you are a plus size bride (or any size bride) looking for a beautiful wedding dress, I'd highly recommend Miosa!
Parking: There is no parking associated with Miosa. You can street park along the surrounding blocks. I've been twice on the weekend and never had any issues finding a spot within a block. You'll have to pay the meter a few bucks.
So for the actual dress shopping experience they do deserve more than 2 stars, but after you've paid for the dress they really don't care about you anymore as a customer. They incorrectly sized my dress and then when I picked it up they let me look at the dress but not to try it on. Went home and of course it was too small. Luckily I had an amazing alternations person (NOT with them of course!) who was able to save the dress! I would definitely look elsewhere to buy a dress. Even if you go there and try on dresses they won't tell you who the designer is or which dress model it is, basically so you can't go looking online to find it for much cheaper.
I feel like I am all of a sudden in a dream! This past week has been something out of my worst nightmare. My beloved parents lost everything they have ever owned on 11/8 during the Camp Fire. Their possessions they got from their passed parents, memorabilia from when they first met in middle school, wedding items, jewelry, collectibles, all of their 3 children’s baby pictures keepsakes, and my wedding dress they bought for me 2 years ago that I never got to wear.
My wedding dress seemed meaningless amongst all other items they lost but it still was a emotional thought for me knowing that I would never be able to wear the dress my mother picked for me 2 years ago. I tried on 50 plus other dresses at a million places and found the dress of my dreams at Miosa. This was a dress that my father & my husband would never have the chance to see me walk down the aisle in, feeling like Bell in my dream dress. I was sad but, pushed those selfish feelings aside.
Today exactly one week later I got the surprise of a lifetime! Something out of a dream! For the first time in a week, I found myself crying tears of sheer HAPPINESS and Joy. My amazing aunt Cheryl Evans Gordon my cousins Shari Jean Berkowitz& Jason Gordon, my mother and Miosa Bride have made my wildest dreams come true. In a moment of pure darkness, they have given me a little light. Thank you all so much I have no words to express what I am feeling.
To my family you never cease to amaze me! I am blessed beyond words and every day count my blessings that are you!
To Miosa Brise , I am speechless at the amount of generosity you have shown and the amount that you cared for me. Who is just ONE of your MANY customers. My dress was discontinued and no longer sold and you went above and beyond to find my dress. You have FOREVER changed my life and now my dream will go untouched like none of this tragedy ever happened. I will forever look at this dress and think of your kindness and love. I will make sure that everyone knows what an amazing bridal shop you are!!!!In today’s world it is rare that people do things without looking for recognition, you never once asked questions or gave my family a hard time. You showed empathy and went above and beyond!!! Even threw in beautiful earrings and a touching card! You have shown me to never give up faith on people. I wish that I could do something to repay you all but, what you have done is priceless and nothing could ever compare. Thank you for making me cry tears of joy in such ugly times. I truly love each and everyone of you!
My wedding is 2 months away and now I can say I am excited again for my big day.

Please share and spread the word of what an AMAZING shop Miosa Bride is!
Miosa bride was the first shop I went to and I didn't need to look anywhere else. Daniel was absolutely amazing and I loved all of the dresses he suggested for me. He helped to expand my idea of what I wanted and in the end the first dress he pulled for me ended up being the one. It was the best possible experience and I'm so grateful I came to Miosa!
Arielle was amazing! So personable and found me exactly what I was looking for. She went above and beyond to make the dress was “The One”. I’m so happy we came to this salon first! The selection was amazing. Thank you again for all of your help. Love my new dress... can’t wait to wear it!
The layout, options, service, and location are exactly what I needed to make the wedding dress process and alterations as simple as possible throughout one of the most hectic times. Miosa's was the very first place I shopped and tried on dresses, and within 2 hours I had found the most uniquely perfect dress. So many of the other shops I had walked into prior to trying on dresses just to get a sense seemed cheap and unprofessional, and I truly don't think you could go wrong if you're searching for dresses in the Sacramento area!
I am SO happy and I just don't even know where to start! I guess from the beginning! ;)
So, I have always dreamt of coming to Miosa to shop for my wedding dress - long before I was ever engaged. I would drive by the shop on J St. in the past and actually first discovered the shop via online while admiring another bride who was married in the Gold Country. Her photos online gave credit to Miosa for her stunning dress.
Fast forward to present time, I was engaged and in search of THE dress! I had visited a few other stores previously but just hadn't found, "the one." I live in the Bay now and knew I wanted to take a drive up to Sac and visit Miosa so I could take a peek. I was afraid their dresses may have been out of budget. Let me tell you - Miosa will work with your budget and they have lots of very reasonably priced dresses! Jacqui (who is an angel that I will tell you all about momentarily), worked with our budget and the dress I fell in love with was very much so in our budget - with room to spare! Don't be steered away like I was initially, by thinking you may not be able to afford a dress from Miosa. They had LOTS and LOTS of dresses reasonably priced and within our budget.
As soon as I arrived, I was so excited and just in awe! The store is beautiful and truly has that, "wedding dress shopping - bridal-y," feel. It's a beautiful location - even the wallpaper in the bathroom is pretty (lol). We were paired with Jacqui - and I am so, so thankful for her! She was immediately warm and so kind from the start. We started our shopping journey with a handshake and ended with hugs! Jacqui took my mom and I over to discuss my wedding details and dress ideas. She immediately made me so comfortable by her natural, down to earth and sweet demeanor. I instantly connected with her and felt like we had been friends long before just meeting her. Jacqui really listened to my wants and desires of finding my wedding dress and the first one I tried on, was literally the one I had shown her in a photo. She went above and beyond and we ended up trying LOTS of other dresses, even though I was stuck on the first dress. She threw in a couple other dresses she thought might be fun even though they were a little different than my original ideas. She expressed that she'd rather me try all different types, to at least truly KNOW, the dress I pick is actually THE one. So I wouldn't have any what if's later if I didn't try a different neckline or what not. I really appreciated that - she provided total peace of mind, provided options while still respecting and listening to my needs and wants. And I should totally add - she was SO patient through the entire process, I never felt rushed. She made sure I was comfortable from the start, asking if I wanted her to come in the dressing room with me or not. This was my fourth wedding dress shopping experience - not one other place ever asked - they were just in the dressing room with me. I thought that was really thoughtful. I also appreciated that she said if there was a dress she pulled that I just wasn't interested in - it was okay and not to feel like I had to try on a dress if I wasn't feeling it. The entire process was amazing and that's truly because Jacqui made it that way! I am so happy and fortunate to say, "I said yes to the dress at Miosa!" I couldn't be happier!!
I decided to look for my wedding dress at Miosa Bride first because of their reputation as the best bridal shop in Sacramento. I was extremely happy I did, because I ended up not even needing to look anywhere else!! We rented out the upstairs fitting room which was super fun, and made the entire experience feel just a little bit more special. I tried on several styles of dresses, and my consultant was incredibly attentive, but ultimately found a dress I had seen a picture of on their Pinterest page. From making my first appointment to my final fitting - everything went seamlessly. I had my dress altered at Miosa and LOVED the final product - it fit EXACTLY as I imagined it would! I was also planning my wedding from the East Coast, so had to schedule fittings accordingly, and Miosa was more than happy to work with my schedule. I couldn't have been happier with my wedding dress - LOVE Miosa!!! Thank you!!
Found my dream wedding gown with such ease. They allowed me to try on so many dresses with no luck in finding the one and my consultant never got frustrated or irritated with me she simply was amazing at her job and kept looking. She eventually found me the most gorgeous gown. It was more than I ever could’ve imagined for my gown!
Didn’t have the best experience regarding ordering and alterations. My dress was a lemon and do not order a size bigger if you can avoid any weight gain. I ordered a size bigger and paid over $800 in alterations and the dress wasn’t perfect. Beware!!!
I love my dress I found here! I went dress shopping in January and visited two other stores that day and Miosa was BY FAR my favorite. The dresses are beautiful and they have a great selection, not to mention the store is beautiful. Jennifer was so sweet and helpful and took all of my feedback and kept coming back with better and better dresses until I found the perfect one! I was hesitant to commit to my dress after one day of shopping so they took my measurements and let me sleep on it and order over the phone the next day.
When I picked up my dress I got to try it on with a bunch of accessories to find what I wanted with my dress. Kristina was also super helpful and patient. I wasn't able to have anyone come with me so she took photos for me and gave me tips and advice and hugged me goodbye after bringing my dress out to my car for me! And I got to see Jennifer and show off my dress she helped me pick out.
Definitely the best bridal salon in the area! Go here!
On a whim, my mom and I decided to start the wedding dress search a few days ago. Miosa fit us in the same day we called. I couldn't be happier with getting paired with Pauline. She asked me a few simple questions and brought me 10 dresses to try on from that. All of them looked fabulous on me to my surprise. Not only did she find me my dress, which I was not expecting, but it was the first one she brought me. She is EXCELLENT at finding a gown to suit your personality, wedding venue, body type, preferences... it's magic! The store on J. St. is adorable and newly renovated. I highly recommend Miosa Bride.
I found my dream dress this weekend at Miosa and was happy to say YES TO THE DRESS! The salon didn't open until 10 but they let everyone with appointments in around 9:50. I went up to the counter to check in and I immediately met my consultant. My consultant was Aracely and she was so sweet and amazing. She assured me that we were going to find my dress that day! After I showed her some pictures of what I wanted she immediately pulled dresses that fit the look I was going for and completely understood what I wanted. I was amazed at the quality of dresses that were all under my $1500 budget. If I could go back in time, I would definitely do it all again and go back to Aracely! So happy I found my dress and came in under budget. Thank you to everyone at Miosa!
Great experience working with Miosa Bride. Everyone was extremely friendly. I loved my dress, and they were honest about alteration alternatives that significantly cut down on the cost of my dress alterations! 100% recommend.
Amazing experience. They treated my family, friends and I with so much respect. They made the experience fun too. I highly recommend them.
I went here while starting my search for a dress, and even though I didn't end up buying my dress here the experience was amazing!!! Daniel was my consultant and he stayed within my budget, gave honest opinions and was INCREDIBLE. He was so knowledgeable about each dress, and what types of alterations each would need - it was seriously amazing. Also the building is gorgeous!!!
We bought a Miosa wedding dress and now they will not answer my emails to help with a problem. They put the dress in a blue garment bag when it left their shop. Some of the blue color rubbed onto the dress. Our alterations shop removed as much of the color as possible but some of the blue remains. We have sent several communications with pictures and asked for advice but we do not get any answer. This experience has taught me not to expect any customer service from Miosa Bridal once the dress is paid for.
I called to ask a couple of questions on the phone, and was immediately spoken to as if she wasn't excited. I also asked about their price range, which she wouldn't give me. I then gave an estimate for my dress budget and she just laughed at me and said that they wouldn't have anything available. I understand that people live different lives and have different incomes, but this was disrespectful. Just something to keep in mind if you have a smaller budget.
It was my 1st time ever shopping for a wedding dress and I came with 5 of my bridesmaids and I immediately found my dress within 5 minutes of my appointment. The consultant paid so much attention to my needs and wants and made an unforgettable experience. There was an abundance of dresses to try on but she knew before I even did what would look best on me. You get to wear the most luxurious comfy robe in between fittings and all your guests get champagne. Your surrounded by mirrors and you get the full effect of trying on wedding gowns and you just feel like a princess. Can’t wait for my 1st fitting!
Amazing service from the moment we walked into he door to the day before the wedding! Rachel really listened to my needs and made the time in a very busy schedule for me to come in before the wedding the make sure everything was perfect and ready to go!
Attention all future brides! DO NOT BUY your dress here!
Not only did they provide the worst customer service, but they did not care to fix or make anything right. When I returned to their store after my dress was supposed to be altered, nothing was done! It was a waste of my initial time off of work as well as the trip downtown. Long story short this proceeded for 5 dress appointments!
On the day before my wedding it was still not right! They did not finish the work, did not steam the dress, and come to find out on Saturday (day of the wedding) that they had sewn the pins into the dress! (pictures below)
What was I supposed to do on the day of my wedding??? My bridesmaids and I steamed the dress for hours and had to cut small holes to remove the pins. Last but not least….. after my ceremony we went to bustle the dress only to find out they had completely forgot to do the bustle! This ruined my night and I had to hold my dress up all night long.
When I called the store manager, Megan to share what happened she simply apologized and said there was nothing she could do. She offered a mere $65 refund after I had paid over $600 in alteration fees.
This is the absolute worst place in Sacramento to buy a dress. Save you time, your money, and most importantly your enjoyment on the biggest day of your life.
Miosa was my 2nd stop for dress shopping; I started at David's Bridal to get both a crash course in dress education & to break the ice trying on dresses. A dozen gowns later, I tried on a Watters dress (Oceana) and knew it was the one! It's as comfortable to wear as it is beautiful to look at. We ordered the dress, came back for 2 fittings, and on the 3rd visit, it fit like a glove and I was ready to head down the aisle. Miosa has a stunning selection of dresses, talented & efficient seamstresses, and are rightfully busy - so book in advance and be punctual!
They picked a dress for me that I thought I would never choose and I fell in love with it. They altered it to my liking and my dress turned out beautiful. Very knowledgable staff!
Miosa was the very first place I looked for my wedding dress, and it was a wonderful experience! Jackie, my bridal consultant, was incredible.
When we arrived and settled, she asked to see my Pinterest board of dresses so she could get an idea of what I liked. She went off and picked a number of dresses. The very FIRST dress I tried on had at least one element of every dress I had pinned. It was perfect. I tried on a few more, but nothing compared to the first dress. First salon, first dress! Thank you, Jackie!!!
I was recommended by a friend in the wedding industry to not get my alterations done by Miosa because of many stories she's heard about their terrible job with alterations. I chose to trust her and outsource my alterations (which I was incredibly happy I did!)
When I picked up the dress, a few things were not correct. The veil was meant to have a pearl edge and that was not done. They were able to do that on the spot and it looked great - no complaints! I also had a belt custom made for the dress, and it was meant to have crystals inside the flower, but they made it with pearls. That needed to be changed, so I picked it up the following week. (With these small things gone wrong, it made me feel better about my decision to outsource the dress alterations.) It was a small inconvenience to pick up the belt separately as I live about 45 minutes from Sacramento, but they really made up for it with a sweet gift bag filled with a $500 gift card (no exaggeration) for a photoshoot from a partnering photographer in Sacramento, and a small bottle of champaign. It was a very generous and kind gesture to apologize for the inconvenient mix up!
I highly recommend Miosa for your wedding dress! The dress fit me like a glove and everyone loved it. It really fit my style and was truly a stunning gown for a great price!
Thank you Miosa for all your help!!!
Miosa Bride has a great selection of bridal gowns. My consultant was great in asking a lot of questions to narrow down what kind of dress would look good on me. After finding "the one" and ordering it, they were very accommodating with my alterations. Not being local, they worked around my travel schedule and when I would be in town for fittings. Also, on my final fitting, the Thursday before the wedding, they were able to do more last minute alterations and have ready that night for pickup. Having on-site alterations is a huge plus! I had so many compliments on my dress and the day was perfect! Thanks Miosa!
Miosa Bride was AMAZING to work with! From the day I picked out my dress, through the ordering process, fittings until the day I picked it up, they were nothing but sweet and kind and super helpful. I highly recommend them as a great place to get your dress and anything else that goes with it. :)
Miosa’s was the first and only place I went, they had a great selection and I easily found my dress. The staff was great and I was really happy with everything. The only thing was alterations were way more than I planned but in the end the dress looked amazing and fit perfectly!
I bought my dress here and the salon is lovely, but the staff could use some work. When I went to try on dresses, I had several specific dresses in mind that I wanted to try on and I had told the sales rep that and gave her the style numbers and the designer. She went off to grab dresses, but did not bring a single dress back that I had asked for and made no attempts to explain, despite repeated requests that I wanted to try on those dresses, which was strange. The dress I ultimately bought was not on my list, but it was absolutely perfect. Fast forward to my first fitting--the dress came in early and I scheduled a fitting and asked them to call me to remind me of the appointment. They never called me to confirm and so I missed my fitting and when I asked them why, they said they had it marked down as I had been called to confirm. I re-scheduled the fitting and asked them to call me. Again, they failed to call me for the fitting, but luckily I called them and they told me there was a very large note to call me, but still had not forgotten it. My first fitting was a stange process. I was wearing my dress and thought it looked fantastic, when out of nowhere, the tailor told me don't worry you'll look thinner once we fit it. I did not appreciate that comment, especially since I had not made any weight comments or expressed any dissatisfaction with the dress prior to that. During the fitting, I asked the sales rep if I could try on jewelry and expressed that I did not want to spend very much as I would unlikely wear it again. Everything she brought over to me was $300 + which was way beyond what I wanted to spend. It made me question their judgment. I then scheduled my second fitting for two months from that date and asked them to call me. I had the dates mixed up and because Miosa failed to call me, I missed my second fitting and had to reschedule it. At my final fitting, I asked to try on my dress and the sales associate seemed annoyed at this and was somewhat rude to to me at first, but warmed up towards the end. When I was getting out of the dress, I noticed some beading was loose on top and asked for the tailor to fix it. She then told me that all of the beading was on a single string, so if the beading gets loose it could all fall off. I was never told this before then and seeing as I had to ship my dress across country, may not have purchased this dress knowing that fact. Overall, I was less than impressed with their customer service and their phone skills.
Miosa is the prefect place to get a gown. They have everything from a-lines to ball gowns in affordable prices. The staff gives you one on one attention like you see on tv. They never pressured me into a dress that was over my budget and were honest to me when I asked for opinions. This is the only bridal salon that I would recommended to go to.
This salon is amazing. The dress I wanted was discontinued months before I got engaged. The amazing people at Miosa worked with me and my budget to re-create the dress. They did an amazing job working with me as an out-of-state bride. I am so happy with them!!!
I'm a bride on a budget, so when I first talked to the staff at Miosa I was a little discouraged. Nothing really fell into my budget of $1000 for my gown. But they encouraged me to attend the black friday sample sale, where I found the PERFECT dress for the PERFECT price. Plus I got the simple cathedral length veil I was looking for. I felt beautiful, and the staff was so caring and helpful. They even mailed a corset lace to me after the fact because I didn't pick up the right one while I was in the store. 10/10.
A co-worker/friend of mine (and fellow bride) bonded immediately when we discovered we were getting married around the same time. We constantly checked in on each other's weddings and shared our experiences. She loved the dress she found at Miosa and was getting alterations done 4 months before her destination wedding in Mexico.
I write this review because she is too nice to write a bad review but I feel it is necessary inform fellow brides of her horrible experience. She left the store crying after her third fitting and nobody took accountability. This is not a Bridezilla either, she is the sweetest person and did not deserve to be dismissed and treated horribly.
She had three fittings.
First fitting. Nothing had even been done. It's like they forgot. They told her just to lose weight. They agreed on getting the alterations that should have been done in the first place.
Second fitting: Too big. She did lose a little weight though so they had to alter it to accommodate the weight loss.
Third fitting: Just days before leaving for Mexico. They made her wait 45 minutes while she watched them cater to a bride trying on an $8000 dress. Then they treated her like an absolute nuisance because they were trying to sell dresses on the floor. When she finally tried it on, it was too tight and the alterations were done so poorly that the dress bunched at the waist. She said she felt so helpless because the bunching was so ugly and nobody cared. A lot of her friends and family were already in Mexico so she was all alone and was being treated like a piece of shit just days before her wedding. The salesperson blamed it on her body shape and told her she had another appointment. She was in absolute tears and nobody took accountability. People saw how upset she was and did not give it a second thought. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE.
Mind you, the alterations were a service SHE PAID FOR. Why were they treating her like she was unimportant and a nuisance? Because she had already paid for everything and they wanted her out of their hair to work on new brides. NO PROFESSIONAL CLASS AT ALL.
I was floored by this story. As a business catering to brides, I cannot believe they can be so callous and money hungry. All the bridal businesses I encountered as a bride treated me so well and understood what it meant to be a bride. It means a lot. It may be a billion dollar business but a bride is a bride. Period. Most bridal businesses get that and are so helpful and kind. NOT THIS ONE. Not only that...but most brides haven't been married before so they are going into this thing with no experience. Every dress shop I went to understood this and was so helpful and informative. It makes me so angry that my friend had this experience.
I honestly cannot believe that she left the shop in tears just days before her wedding. The lady who altered my dress fixed everything I asked for until it was perfect and hugged me and congratulated me before I left the store. I wish my friend had gone to my lady instead of choosing to getting alterations done at Miosa. What a nightmare. ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE.
At the end of the day, she was a gorgeous bride and her beauty really distracted from any flaws in her dress. But you can clearly see that they are there and she said she felt self conscious all day and made sure to hold her bouquet low. Plus it was uncomfortably tight. What an unnecessary worry to have on your special day.
Best Bridal salon was absolutely amazing! They have dresses in all price ranges, making it extremely easy to find a dress! The consultants were absolutely amazing and always willing to work with me when i had questions or issues.
Alterations also went very smoothly! They were able to get my last minute alterations done the same day so i could take the dress home with me since i did not live in the area.
I will and do recommend Miosa Bridal in SAC to EVERYONE!!
Miosa can be very busy at time, hence the 4 stars. But please dont let that stop you from going there! There service still beats any large retailer making your experience special. I got my gown and all my bridesmaids at miosa. The alterations were perfect and they made sure every little detail was correct for the big day. Highly recommended.

Miosa made me look just right...and in a short amount of time. I had just over 4 months before my wedding when I went looking for a dress (I went looking just a week after my husband-to-be proposed). I had no idea that I was already in the rush time. But Miosa got it done.
It only took 5 tries before I found the dress that I knew would be my wedding gown. I'm 43 and getting married for the first time so it took some sensitivity to find just the right dress. They actually gave me a dress which was completely opposite of what I had asked for, but they knew better than I did what was good for me.
They ordered the dress and I paid extra for rush. They got it on time (even a little early) and we got the fittings done the month of the wedding. The seamstresses are very professional and know exactly what they're doing. I was in good hands. They added delicate lace cap sleeves, which had to be repaired first and then attached. They added matching beading and the repairs were seamless. The dress fit perfectly and I never worried about anything falling down or slipping off.
The only negative was that sometimes they are overbooked on weekends and appointments can run long. I got bumped a couple of times and saw others waiting as well. I would suggest making appointments on weekdays or anticipate waiting on weekends.
My consultant was very sweet and my seamstresses were first rate. Because of them, I was wearing the perfect dress for my figure, my age and my event on my wedding day.
I was very excited in the beginning to work with them, & the gals were very sweet & helpful in finding the gown. Once I'd paid for my gown, I found the customer service severely declined.
My gown was to be a 'quick ship' gown that they estimated would arrive in early June. My appt was in early Feb, and we were very clear about when the wedding was (early Aug).
I understand they are partially up to the speed of the designers-I also suspect my gown was not ordered in a timely fashion. I called in May to confirm/get a better idea of the delivery date. I asked a question and they said I could change my order-I wasn't wanting to do that at all, I was asking about changes for alterations. They also told me my dress would now arrive early July.
When I called 5 days after the date they gave me in July, she said "It appears your gown should have shipped and be here by now, usually we receive a tracking number but we haven't yet". I was appalled that they did not call the designer when they hadn't received a tracking number within a few days of the expected ship date. She told me everything would be ok but gave no details. I asked her to find out when it would arrive, she was super hesitant to do it. I asked if they could call the designer and find out what was up. She agreed to do so. (Again I was appalled that they didn't immediately offer to figure out what was up, why did I have to ask them where a $2k item that was supposed to already be there was?) The new date was supposed to be 3 weeks before my wedding, and apparently there was a 'production delay'
I had to go back in and try on the sample gown before my hair trial appt and to figure out my jewelry/shoe options because my gown had not arrived, and my trial appointments were going to happen before it arrived. It was not an option to reschedule my other appts-I had to take time off from work to go back in and make these decisions
The gown was supposed to be complimentary over night shipping by the designer due to all the delays. It did arrive (finally) and I had already arranged to try on the gown that day. I did actually get a phone call that day around noon that it had arrived, but the gal had no idea I already had an appointment scheduled-nor had bothered to look when my wedding was. She suggested over the phone I make my first fitting for 2 months before my wedding-I interrupted her and told her that had already long past, we were 3 weeks away now, and I had already scheduled an appt for today
When we arrived, we stood in the lobby for 7 minutes before anyone helped us. Consultants were walking around in the back, clearly saw us, and not once asked "Have you been helped?" Finally we got some help. I got the gown on, and it fits great, love it. Told them I would not be doing my alterations with them anymore-I simply in the next 3 weeks don't have the time to be driving out to Sac 3-4times, nor have I heard good things about their alterations, and didn't want to deal with their crummy customer service anymore. I have a fantastic seamstress who specializes in wedding gowns about 5 minutes from my office
Icing on the cake was when we went to pay. She handed me one invoice for the remainder of the gown, and another one for the hoop skirt I was buying. Everything looked fine. She took my card, charged it, then handed me an invoice with everything and an additional fee for shipping. Shipping was supposed to be free due to the delay, and they snuck it in...seriously?
I went to a number of bridal shops and had some pretty bad experiences. Going here was like a breath of fresh air! I was treated well the entire time and wasn't made to feel like I was a nuisance, like the other places I went to. They helped me find the perfect dress. Definitely liked this little shop.
If you're looking for that true bridal salon experience and you're in Sacramento definitely head to Miosa Bride. I had a lovely experience there. Everyone was so friendly and supportive. The only reason I subtracted a start for Value is just because on principle I think bridal gowns are too expensive to wear for only one day :). I always thought I'd find a deal at a vintage store or something like that. Eventually I caved and decided I wanted the true bridal look and went to Miosa. I found my absolute dream dress. I love it so much it hurts! I want to wear it everyday. They were very nice in the salon in that they let me look through the racks myself, or else I wouldn't have found it. I know not all salons will allow that. The dresses here will definitely be more affordable than someplace like Kleinfeld, but higher quality than David's Bridal. A great Sacramento bridal salon.
Every one was knowledgeable and friendly. Great communication about dress timelines, etc. My dress wad stunning!
I had a good experience at Miosa. They found a dress within my budget that was beautiful. The alterations ended up costing more than I thought. Overall good service up until the day I picked up my dress...receptionist was not too friendly or helpful even though it was my wedding weekend!
