The owner Michael, his second in charge Amy, and their staff treated me in the most inconsiderate and rude way.
I was visiting Sacramento for a few days and happened to stumble on this shop, tried a few dresses and absolutely fell in love wi...th one. It was perfect! Except for the veil, which they didn't have and the one on the picture looked too long for my taste so I tried a different one, loved the cut and we agreed that they will order the original veil and alter it to the cut that I wanted. Plus a minor alteration to the hips and it will be truly perfect. I mentioned that I live in Los Angeles, and it's a 6-hour drive one way, to witch they told me not to worry because they can easily ship it to me.
Six months later my dress finally arrives in Sacramento, I receive a call that it is ready. Then it turned out that shipping to me to LA would be an extra charge, plus I would have to pay in full before it ships and just hope that it all fits right. So I decided to drive out and try it on, pay and take it with me. I make an appointment and remind them of my long drive so please-please make sure it is all ready and alterations are done. Not to worry they say, we most definitely will. A few day prior I call to make sure we are ready to go, and get a different response - oh, we don't alter the dress before you try it on. So again I have to point out my long drive and that I won't be making a second one and they already know the alteration that needs to be done, so please do it. Sure-sure, they say. I reschedule for later to give them time. Call a few days prior to the appointment. The alteration was done, but they won't press it because that's an extra $30 charge. So I am paying $3,000 for a dress and they would give it to me wrinkled unless I pay a petty fee? After pointing out to them how ridiculousness this sounds, they waived the fee. And finally on the 4th call, they confirm that everything is done and ready.
I come to the shop, try my dress, and see that the veil was still sealed in the plastic bag - not pressed, the lace completely different from what's on the dress. It is even different color (yellow as compared to white)! Luckily owner Michael was there and assured me that they will fix it. They would either order lace from Spain and make my veil there or would cut the one they already have. Then he asked me to pay in full for the dress and the veil, even though the veil wasn't even ordered yet, so I retained payment for that. After we discussed how the veil issue needs to be fixed, he said, don't worry, we'll get it done. A week later I call to follow up and Michael says -what's the cut you want for the veil? I thought we covered that when I was there in person, but not biggie, I sent him a picture of the one I tried on 7 months ago and what we agreed to. We'll get right on it, he says. Three weeks go by, and I don't hear a word from them. I call and get Amy on the line who tells me that my veil wasn't even started yet, but she will expedite it, and while she has me on the phone - what's the cut you want for your veil? It is as if three conversations I had with Michael before didn't happen. I send pictures to Amy now, she gets them and says, we'll get to it now, please pay in full or else we don't even start on the veil. I could not believe the nerves she had to say that to me after all they have already put me through! Per Amy, those were instructions from Michael, who was too busy to talk to me himself.
