quality of the photos she took for us, there were many reasons why I enjoyed working with Vanessa. First and foremost, she was very organized and professional, paying close attention to what my husband and I wanted. My husband and I put together a list of all the staged family and wedding party photos that we wanted taken at the wedding, and it ended up being much longer than either of us anticipated. Vanessa helped us organize our list though and developed a plan for how to get all of our staged pictures taken on the morning before our wedding. I was worried that we wouldn’t be able to complete everything that we’d hoped for, but Vanessa was so efficient on the day of the wedding, that we were able to take all of the (many) photos that we had asked for. Furthermore- she did such a good job! She has an excellent eye for detail and I was so impressed by how she politely organized and instructed our family members and wedding party through the staged photographs. When I got lipstick on my teeth, she noticed from fifteen feet away (not joking, no one else had seen it), helped me with my bustle when my bridesmaids and I were struggling, was very thoughtful in arranging poses that accommodated our handicapped family members, and quickly learned the names of the almost thirty people in our staged photos so that she could address them individually. I was blown away, and a number of people at the wedding specifically mentioned to me how impressed they were with Vanessa. For how much I enjoyed Vanessa on the day of the wedding, I appreciated her even more after receiving our photos very soon thereafter. Our wedding was truly one of the happiest days of my life, and I enjoy thinking about and reflecting on it so much. It was so special to have so many people from such separate aspects of our lives come together to meet, celebrate, and share stories. Vanessa’s pictures have helped me re-live so many special moments of my own, but have also given me glimpses of the introductions, conversations, and laughter between our guests that I missed on the day of the wedding. Her photographs have been such a treasure to my husband and I, and have brought so much joy to our friends and family as well. I am SO grateful for Vanessa’s talent, organization, and professionalism. We were truly blessed for all of her help on our big day!

So for that reason, I rate her service as excellence! Quality: What a genuine photographer who's passion for the camera is evident to all! When deciding which photographer to get, my soon to be sister in law who had Vanessa capture her wedding 5 years prior said "I remember telling her I wanted a certain picture in our field...and there she went, she was down laying on the ground in her dress pants and high heals trying to capture the picture I wanted!" The day after our wedding both are parents said, "you can tell she really knows what she's doing..she just moves around and does her thing!" Vanessa will give it her all to capture the moments YOU tell her are important to you-so for that, another excellence! Lastly, value: We have almost been married a month and I look at our pictures every day! Each time I smile so big my face hurts...and then I start to tear up realizing the precious moments that are forever captured thanks to Vanessa. I was able to get beautiful posed photos, and she really got the emotions that were happening. There were parts of the day that I wasn't around, that I was able to see through her shots; the guests arriving at church, guests arriving and mingling at the reception, people dancing, and the many people we talked to. I ended up with over 1200 photos, and I love every single one of them. She also delivered them SUPER quick. I've had friends waiting for their photos for months, and I got to see mine within a few weeks. Vanessa is very personable and really easy to work with. I really lucked out finding her on this site!

to go into our wedding album (which Vanessa designed), mostly because each time I would get on to make sure I had all of the pictures that I wanted in it, I would get distracted looking at how gorgeous and amazing all of the other pictures are! She was also incredibly helpful with setting up a timeline for our wedding day--and she made sure we were where we needed to be at the right times. (My dad was very glad that we were able to eat dinner on time!) Plus, she came on the bus with us and got some great pictures of our bridal party! She was more than willing to work with me to create a package that was in our price range and would help to make sure we got pictures of every aspect of our day. She also did our engagement session, and was willing to come to my parents house to take pictures in their backyard! I absolutely recommend Vanessa to everyone who asks about wedding photographers-she is amazing and we definitely have lots of pictures to help us relive our wedding over and over and over again!

on talking with her, I knew I had to book her. She was very friendly and always responded back to me quickly. On our wedding day she was a pleasure to work with. She seemed just like an attending friend at the wedding. I did not even notice pictures were being taken of us as we were upfront, saying our vows; (I was always scared of having a photographer who is up in our faces, clicking away, and blocking our guests view thanks to wedding shows). Another aspect that was important to me was that I did not want the generic pictures where smiles seem forced and everyone is stiffly posing. Needless to say, our pictures turned out beautiful and full of life! They were everything I had wanted. My husband and I are very happy that we found her!

She took great pictures during the ceremony and reception, but wasn't noticed or disturbing during our ceremony. Our pictures are great and taking them went smoothly and she even had 7 of my nieces and nephews, under the ages of 5, looking at the camera at once! Our album and prints look amazing!!! I would highly recommend her to anyone!

We've gotten so many compliments. The colors she captured were amazing, and she got some gorgeous shots of our guests little children during the wedding. Our only disappointment was not having close ups of our faces during the vows, but I realized afterwards that I had asked her about this the very first time we talked and not mentioned it after that - I probably should have remembered to mention it again once we'd actually contracted with her. Also, the first disc of photos she sent didn't have the photos in high res, but when I asked her about this she quickly sent a new one. It was great to get the printing rights for the photos, though! Overall, the few issues we had she handled promptly. She was great to work with throughout, and even though we hadn't met her in person till the actual wedding day, she was so kind and natural there that it wasn't awkward at all having her with us throughout the day. I would definitely recommend her to a friend. :)

offered to contact my DJ when I couldn't reach him, and she was there to let me cry when I lost my grandpa just 6 days before my wedding. She was there to make sure I got each and every photo that I wanted. She was able to get posed shots (which I was convinced I didn't want, but yet, LOVE each and every one of them), and make them look like candid shots. Not to mention that the candid shots she did take, look so phenomenal. To backtrack for just a second, I found Vanessa on The Knot, looked at her website, and one of my bridesmaids and I went out to meet her. After meeting her, and looking at the wedding books she had on her table, I knew we were going to go with her. She was 2 hours away from us, but she didn't mind driving at all. I went home, showed my husband (fiancee then, haha) her website, photos, and contract, and we signed and emailed her copy the next day. We had our engagement shoot with her about a year before the wedding, and she was so wonderful. Vanessa even got along with our dogs. We had our pictures within a few weeks. My best friend had gotten married the year before and had to wait MONTHS for hers. I cannot express my gratitude for having Vanessa be a part of our big day. The week before, my husband decided to stay in a hotel down there, and Vanessa had Dave, her assistant, meet Ben and his groomsmen at the hotel, with me texting her the address the DAY OF. And my day started out fine, with plans to meet Vanessa at 1:30pm at our venue. Three of us showed up about 10 minutes late, with one girl already at the venue. Vanessa had already started on the shots that she could take without the bridal party. Which was great, because the other three bridesmaids had gotten into a car accident and showed up only half an hour prior to the ceremony. Vanessa did absolutely everything that she could to make sure I still got all of the shots I wanted with my girls. I know that I rambled on a bit about my day, but it was only to show the gratitude for Vanessa. She did everything in her power to make sure that I had the best day possible. Not only that, she got our photos out online less than two weeks after our wedding. Vanessa went above and beyond what a photographer does at a wedding. Somewhere between the photos, the cake cutting, and the dancing, she became my friend.
